The Plumbing Works

Purchased a home a few months ago. The water softener obviously wasn't doing its job. Stinky water, white spots, etc. There was a tag on another appliance in the basement from Plumbing Works, so I called them as it seemed there were there before. When I called I easily got an appointment for a convenient time for me. They not only showed up on time, but actually a little early. After evaluating the equipment, for no charge by the way, the tech explained my options and quoted me for each right there. No waiting for someone else to call another day with a "deal".
My choice was to replace it completely. I was a bit surprised at what a whole new system costs. It's uncomfortable. But it included the system, labor, one return maintenance visit, and no interest financing for 12 months. Kind of a no-brainer. The tech and his assistant were both polite, professional, and friendly. They were respectful of my home, and didn't even mind me watching them and asking questions while they worked. The whole thing was finished within about 3 hrs.
I didn't shop around like I usually do. I asked, and he admitted they probably weren't the cheapest price, but not nearly the most expensive either. I respect that honesty from him. But the whole experience was satisfactory to me overall, and I will definitely call them again for any future issues in my house.

Very impressed by the professionalism of this company! I called in the morning and had a same day appointment for mid-afternoon. Plumbing Works was the only company that I called which offered to check the issue free of cost. (Other companies in the area wanted $60+ just to come look!) My appointment was set for between 2 and 3, and I received an email when the technician was 15 minutes away. He arrived right at 2:00 and put plastic over his shoes to enter my home. In under an hour he fixed the issue at a cost that was cheaper than having another company simply look at the issue. While I hope to not call a plumber again in the near future, I will definitely use this company again!

I've had the Plumbing Works do various jobs on a couple occasions and have not been disappointed. Service techs have been very professional and I'm very satisfied with the quality of their wor.

My Plumbing Works Technician was a total and complete rip off! I was charged $75 for him to arrive at my home; and then an additional $240 "diagnostic fee" which was not even close to being accurate. He "diagnosed" my blower motor as being burned out and non-functional, and that a high-temperature relay switched was no longer functional. Well...wrong again champ. After receiving a total quote of over $1,400.00, I thought it would be best to get a second opinion.
I'm glad I did because the blower motor he quoted me at OVER $740 was only $370...AND WAS NOT NEEDED; my blower motor was operating just fine!! The high-temp relay switch he said was faulty had NOTHING wrong with it at all; functions perfectly.
He completely missed liquid that caught from a clogged drain to the blower motor which was halting my system from working.
This company is a total joke and rips off people with prices that are quadruple the costs they should be, and service charges, and a technician that clearly doesn't know a damn thing. He spent nearly the entire "service call" on his phone speaking with other technicians; more qualified technicians I can only hope.
I will NOT EVER be using this organization for anything.

This is the first time we’ve used the Plumbing Works. I was so impressed with the response and friendliness of the receptionist. She sent someone out the same day. And that someone was Zac. Zac did a great job assessing and coming up with a solution for our plumbing need. He was such a gentleman and treated us and our home with respect.
He was professional and really knew his stuff! He went the extra mile for us and we will definitely use the Plumbing Works again. Thanks, Zac!

I called because I was having an issue with water on my floor, appearing to be a bad water heater. After approving the quote for the water heater installation, the tech discovered that the leak was actually coming from a hidden pipe and Ayer was running from there to the water heater area. To make a long story short, I ended up not needing the water heater, and my repair ended up being being only $260. I am very happy with the honesty and kindness of our tech! Highly recommend!!

I called late during a week night and reached an answering service, the customer care representative was prompt and courteous, she let me know that I could dispatch a technician for emergency service or wait until the morning. I waited until the morning when I received a call from a rockstar, Julie. Julie was awesome, polite and professional. I went on to inform Julie that I fixed the issue on my water heater by removing and plugging back in the molex connector for the water heater blower fan and would call back if the water heater failed again...Julie called me back twenty minutes later or so to confirm the fan was plugged back in as it would be dangerous to leave it unplugged (carbon monoxide). I could tell that she really cared about the safety of those in my home.

I didn't need service today but will be sure to call The Plumbing Works next time I need service. Thank you TPW and thank you Julie!

On 7-Feb-2019 I called the Plumbing works for a heating issue that I needed a service technician to look at the circulation pump. The Plumbing Works schedule Jason who had previously worked on the system. Jason confirmed the circulation pump had failed and replaced the circulation pump with a replacement I provided (like for like pump) and refilled the system. He also stated he tested the system and it was functioning. I was billed $763.00 for 2-1/2hrs. of work.
I did not know this but the 2nd floor tenant was out of town and had the thermostats turned down. When he returned Early Saturday morning he had no heat and he texted me to let me know that the apartment was very cold (~50°F) and had the thermostats set at 72°F. I called the Plumbing works and the answering service took the information and said a service technician would contact me shortly. I receive a call back 45 min. after the original call. The technician told me he was the plumber on call and did not work on heating systems. That technician was off and would not be available until Monday morning. I told him this was unacceptable, and I would like to talk to the manager on duty. Thirty-five minutes later the same service technician called me back and told me the manager told him to tell me that it would not be until Monday morning until a service technician would come out to look at the systems.
I could not leave this tenant without heat, so I contacted another service company to have the system worked on. They worked on the system for ~ three hours, the issue was the system was not filled, there was no water in the second-floor loops. I contacted the Plumbing Works service technician again and told him that the system was being worked on by another company and I would not need anyone from your company to come out.
On Monday morning I received a call from the Plumbing Works to schedule a time for the service technician to come out. I informed her that I had to have another company come out to repair the system. I asked to discuss the issue with the Service Manager and after a few minutes was told that she would call me back. I never received a call back to discuss the overall experience. The charges for this were outrageous to begin with and the fact that the system was not repaired properly. Very poor service in my opinion.
