    We have beneffited tremendously by hiring Metro Heating and Cooling residential services whenever we have needed a heating or cooling project. Mark Russell has been our Metro representative for each project. Mark's years of experience make him a knowledgeable resource who understands how to properly configure designs according to individual requirements. Once he designs and proposes the solution, he coordinates the installation in a timely manner. We have hired Mark several times to replace HVAC systems in rental properties. However, the high efficiency Buderus boiler system we purchased from Metro and installed in our home has been an energy efficient and space saving investment. Buderus technology requires specialized training and we are fortunate to have the option of such state-of-the-art hot water heating equipment right here in Pittsburgh!

    Woke up this morning to a cold house. The furnace quit working. Called Metro. They had a guy here in about an hour who said the inducer assembly on my Amana furnace was bad and called for a price to replace it. They quoted me a total cost to repair at $551. $463 was for the replacement part, the rest for labor and diagnostics. They did a professional job and the furnace is working fine now. I can't complain about that.

    My problem is that they charged me $463 for a part I could buy on-line for less than $150! I understand that they have overhead to cover and they got the part I needed right away. I am willing to pay for that. But they marked up the price of the part more than 300%! Wow! That seems really excessive to me.

    Next time, I'm going to call another company.

    Came home late on cold winter day - only to find the furnace not working - called Metro - Kevin, a Metro tech, called back right away and walked us thru the problem solving - and now we have heat! Metro was prompt and responsive, and as a bonus - friendly! Thanks Metro & Kevin!

    I called in the morning around 9 am of 6/8/2017 as a home owner asking for basic pricing and information on the company. The receptionist that answered the phone said many people would be involved in getting me the info and she would call me back. Three hours passed and I called around 12:30 pm wondering if she got the prices. When she answered I told her I called earlier asking for pricing and her tone was very displeasing. I have gone to school for HVAC/R and learned a lot about customer service. She did not have a friendly tone with me, instead she sounded like she wanted nothing to do with me as a possible customer. I had a feeling she was not going to call back, because she hung up the phone on me without saying "Good-bye" or "Have a nice day/morning." Very rude. I do not know of their work performance, but I know I will not be using their company from my experience with just talking to the receptionist. Also she assumed I was calling from a Company, but I was not. I was calling for my personal information on Companies around the area.
