We had water leaking from under the kitchen sink and were unable to get the water turned off from under the sink, nor completely from the main shutoff in the house. We called Mark Allen Plumbers. The woman who took our call was wonderful and very helpful and responsive. She was able to get Plumbers here in less than 30 minutes. They stopped the water from leaking, showed us the cracked pipe under the sink that was the source of the leak, and the problem with the main shutoff valve. Because they got pulled from another job to address our urgent need, they said they would have to come back the next morning to do the repairs. (We had water use in the house except for the kitchen). They gave us a written estimate of the repair costs before leaving and checked with the office to confirm their ability to return the next morning.
They returned at 8am the next day as promised. They eventually had to call in an additional plumbing team from their office with extra tools for help in removing a stubborn faucet, but then they were able to complete the kitchen plumbing repairs and new faucet installation.
Another part of the job was to change out an outdated main shutoff valve in the house. To accomplish that, the water from the main line in the street to the house had to be shutoff. However, the water company had to be contacted as the Plumbers couldn't access the shutoff valve from the street to the house due to a bent box. PAWC did come quickly and was eventually able to gain access and the Plumbers took it from there. They were then able to install the new shutoff valve to the main water shutoff in our house as well as a new pressure regulator.
I would highly recommend Mark Allen Plumbing. Their responsiveness, the caliber and politeness of all their employees, as well as the teamwork we witnessed when difficulties arose was very impressive. The work was completed the next day as promised despite the issues that cropped up. I would not hesitate to call them for any future plumbing needs.

The team at Mark Allen is TOP NOTCH! The office staff was friendly and incredibly helpful. She explained pricing, asked the right questions to ensure the plumber knew what he was walking into, and she called us back in a timely manner. Most importantly she was patient with us and answered all of our questions.
The technician arrived within the time that they said he would, and he was literally one of the nicest guys ever ( I’m sorry, I forget his name). He was able to quickly troubleshoot and solve the problem. Within minutes we were back up and running. Couldn’t have hoped for better service!

The service I received from Mark Allen Plumbing and Heating was superb. I had a frozen and ruptured pipe in my basement and was able to receive service within 45 minutes of my initial call. The plumbers who arrived were courteous, knowledgeable and an asset to the company they represent. Mark Allen Plumbing and Heating is highly recommended and will be the company I call for any future issues.

We called Mark Allen Plumbing because one of our apartment units had low water pressure at the shower head. We communicated to the company that we thought the problem was with the diverter. Plumber came and confirmed that there was a problem with the diverter, but indicated that it would be $975 to fix. He claimed that the replacement diverter was $240. Serious red flags when I asked for the model number and he wouldn’t give it to me. So I went to McKean plumbing, bought a replacement diverter for $15, and replaced it myself, at the expense of my own time and labor, which is what I was trying to avoid in the first place. I paid $65 for the service call which was fine, but I won’t be calling them again. Overall very disappointed with the experience.

I was very happy that they were able to fit us into their schedule, and we're at my house within an hour of me calling them. Our problem was much worse than we had expected, but they stayed until they were able to get it rectified. I also greatly appreciate the fact that they were up front about pricing of the service that they performed. I had heard of similar jobs costing nearly double what we were charged, and they did not stack up the charges even though by rights they could have. I was at work, so my wife was dealing with the situation alone, but they explained everything they were doing before they did it and she never felt like they were talking down to her or trying to take advantage of the fact that I wasn't there. Really top notch service from Mark Allen Plumbing Heating and Cooling, I will definitely call them again when the next issue arises.

Great team, very professional and courteous. Provided an accurate description of the job to install a tankless water heater. Came as scheduled and completed the job very timely. Cleaned up and left the basement in great shape. Patrick and Jessy were fantastic. Will definitely call Mark Allen for any future needs.

Extremely high priced. Markup was over 100% for my tankless water heater. Check around first. Not trustworthy.

I waited a while to cool down before I posted this review. When we first used them this past spring we thought we found someone we were really going to trust to do our work. We know the house we bought is older and had someone "remodel" it that clearly didnt know what they were doing. Unfortunately we didnt find these things until after the home purchase. Knowing this we called and explained our situation so they knew what they were getting into. The crew showed up and were friendly and got everything finished in about 2 days (AC installation, ductwork installation, Furnace removal, furnace installation).
We hired them to install an AC unit and add ductwork where previous owners removed it. However upon doing the AC unit we were told we needed a new smaller furnace because they needed to be able to out the AC unit coils above ours and that ours was too big. After everything was said and done we were about 6-7k over our quote (not bad being as we got a new furnace too). They took our old furnace (less then 2 years old) and put in a new smaller furnace. They were upfront and honest about everything before they did it.
After a few weeks when it warmed up we were able to start using our new AC unit. The unit doesn't work. Our home still stays about 78-79 average and our basement gets ice cold and the bathroom. That's literally the only rooms that get cold.
When I called asking about it we were told it was our ductwork. They said they removed a bunch of debri from ducts upstairs so it was probably clogged. Thise ductworks werent used for many years so that was to be expected. We then hired someone else to come and view our ductwork and they said everything was fine and there were no clogs & that the AC unit wasn't installed properly. When I called and spoke to John he gave us quite the attitude and told me he felt I was giving him an ultimatum. At no point was an ultimatum given. I just want our equipment that we paid thousands for to work properly. Now we have an AC unit that was "professionally" installed and doesn't work and no answers. Our furnace thankfully works and warms up the house well the AC however is a whole other story.
If I knew now how things would turn out I would have never used them and will never use them again for future work or recommend them to anyone. Ever.

I had an unexpected water problem in my family room yesterday which had soaked my carpet. I called Mark Allen Plumbing and Heating and Tim was here in one hour. He and his helper Bitash rapidly located the source of the leak which was behind a wall in the back of a closet and quickly capped it stopping the leak. I had them come back the following day to install a new water heater and a few other minor plumbing issues and I found them to be competent, pleasant and respectful of property and cleaned up after their install, all for a fair price. Would definitely use them again.
