Evergreen Gas Heating & Cooling

What I expected: to hire Evergreen Gas Heating and Cooling to fix my gas furnace. It seems they have a lot good reviews.

What they did: cleaned the burner part and the furnace worked. I paid $340 for a furnace diagnostics and a maintenance. The service includes filter changed but I got to bought filters from Amazon and changed them myself because their technician didn’t bring right filters.

What happened after 8 days: my furnace not working again. So it turns out the problem was actually not fixed. I called them. They told me the part they just cleaned 8 days ago needs to be replaced. They can do it for $535. I reasoned with them that the problem was actually not fixed in the first time so I am OK with paying for the new part but I won’t pay for the labor because they simple should pick up what they didn’t finish. They defended themselves and said what they did was right (yeah? then why the problem reoccurs 8 days after?) and my furnace is just old (that’s why I need to hire someone to fix it when it doesn’t work. Does anyone gonna pay $340 to someone to check a working fine, brand new furnace?), not try to really think about why the problem reoccurs and what the client thinks about it. Told them this gonna lead a bad review but obviously they do not care. I guess for them, as long as most of their reviews are good enough to keep their business going then it doesn’t really matter to look what they are doing.

Do Not hire them unless you want to waste your money and time.

Thanks for looking into this. The problem comes back again 8 days after you guys "repaired" the furnace and everyone in your team thinks what you did was right? You performed a paid maintenance. What kind maintenance job keeps the furnace running for only 8 days? I would understand it if the problem reoccurs after 8 months or even 8 weeks but 8 days??? If I've spent $340 on candles and light them up one after one, the time will by longer than 8 days.

Started using Evergreen last year for annual maintenance on furnace, AC and gas fireplace. The same tech visited for the 2nd year, which is nice to have that kind of continuity. The maintenance made everything run much more efficiently. We noticed an improvement in heating costs this winter, and the AC worked much better. The fireplace previously would not always kick on, but always works after service. Very pleased.

Evergreen makes every part of having a service or repair so pleasant and easy. Twice I’ve had my furnace go out and same day they fit me in, showed up on time and the technician was knowledgeable so nice to work with. He remembered my issues and solved the problem on my old furnace. They are honest and helpful and never pressured me to replace vs repair. Highly recommended!!

Koby was so great! Personable and professional and thorough. He answered my questions and was super knowledgeable. I enjoyed chatting with him briefly and also felt totally comfortable leaving him downstairs while I took a work call upstairs. I’m really happy with the service. You have a client for life!

Contacted Bill at Evergreen Gas to move our existing kitchen gas line and venting system to retrofit a new gas downdraft oven. They showed up on time and did the job to our exact request. Great job and the stove dropped in flawlessly! Professional and easy to work with. Highly recommend them for your gas heating and cooling needs!

This company is awesome!

Our heat pump failed last night and we lost our air conditioning. I left a message for them this morning at 6:00 a.m. requesting a service call. I received a return call shortly after 8:00 a.m.

The scheduler, Chelsea, was very polite and efficient.

The technician, Anthony came to our home today and did a great job repairing our system.

We also used this company last winter to service our gas fireplace and they did a wonderful job

Purchased and Installed gas fireplace insert. Handled electrical and gas line additions, and next day Permits. Past no issues. Priced same as competitors. Fireplace Company recommended this installer. Removed and disposed of existing cast iron wood stove. Installers were very careful To protect My furniture and flooring.

Anthony Tarr came out tofix a gas leak in our fireplace. He was right on time and did a great job.He was very courteous and answered all the questions I had. When he left our fireplace looked new again and was working properly. This our 1st time to use Evergreen Gas and we will use them for any other heating and cooling issues we may have in the future,and recommend them to friends and relatives. Bruce Johnson

Michael was very nice and helpful. For example, I told him that I didn't know anything about my gas fireplace , that is I didn't know how to use it, He patiently showed me how to turn/off a couple times and then he let me do it myself while he was instructing me step-by-step. In addition he helped me wrote down the steps he showed me. I really appreciated his kindness and patience on helping me. Overall, I received an excellent service.

I originally met with Evergreen group several years ago for service related calls on my existing furnace and A/C unit. They were always prompt and professional working very clean inside and out. My unit was old but they always obliged me by making it last for several years more than it should. Last week, I finally had them install a brand new furnace and A/C unit. It turned out so well I wished I had done it sooner! They worked very cleanly, efficiently and professionally. I have a decorative garage floor and they took the care and effort to protect it each day with padded liners. They also were very helpful in setting up and instructing me on the usage of the thermostats. Overall, I was very impressed and would highly recommend using Evergreen with any of your HVAC needs.
