    UPDATED 8/28/22: We are in the middle of a very poor experience working with Morrison Heating and Cooling. Our home had an old central AC system that needed replacing, and I got several bids from companies in the area. Morrison promised quality and their bid was more competitive than the other two companies, so I moved forward with them after reading reviews.

    The install was mid July. After the install, my nest thermostat stopped working (it had worked with my old system) and I managed to get it working after a reset. I called Morrison to please come take a look because the system wasn’t functioning as it should. A technician came out to check on it, and after he worked with some of the wiring my thermostat stopped working again. He said the system “just wouldn’t work” with the Nest, and that he’d install a temporary thermostat until they could come back to update the wiring for Nest.

    The system came back on, but after he left, water started leaking out of the condenser coil area in the system and my laundry room was covered in water. The following day, Morrison called me and said “Sorry, your existing furnace is not compatible with the AC system we installed, you’re going to have to replace your entire furnace.” They told me “Good news though, we’ll only charge you $1500 at cost.” I told them there was no way I could afford spending another $1,500 to fix a problem they caused. Eventually, their regional manager said they would “eat the cost” and install the furnace for free.

    The crew came out and installed the new furnace. They said everything was going to work great. After they left, the air conditioning didn’t work again and was just blowing hot air (this was during the heat wave where we hit 105º). We had to sleep somewhere else because our house had no AC and we had to wait for them to come back. They came back eventually and replaced our thermostat and charged the compressor to match the new furnace, something the crew didn’t do when they installed it.

    Fast forward to today, and we have had gallons of water still leaking out of our brand new system! There is black mold growing in my laundry room from the water damage, and I’m totally at the end of my rope. This is a horrible company, do not do business with them if you’re looking for heating or cooling work. I’ve attached a photo of the mold, I’m trying to help others avoid the same problems we have had. We’re considering filing a suit with the company at this point.

    We had a new gas furnace and AC installed in May of 2022 by Morrison. Shortly after, there were issues with the install not being done correctly, and we were told by the technician that came out that the business had been sold to Sunset. Winter came, and the unit stopped working during the night. I left a message with the service (who said someone would be out later the same day) and NOTHING! No call back, zero response. I left multiple messages and still no response when it was in the 20's out and we had no heat. Fortunately, I called the Ecobee thermostat people, and got a super nice guy who spent an hour on the phone with me figuring out how to get the furnace working after verifying that the problem was not the thermostat. Turns out the water drain line was not installed correctly, so it froze, and the unit shut down. Months later, and more calls, and finally a technician was sent out to fix the problem. Week later, same thing happened again because the problem was NOT FIXED or corrected properly. Again, I've left multiple messages over a several months, and ZERO RESPONSE! Worst customer service ever!!! And, now I found out that the UV Air Scrubber was installed incorrectly as well, and I'm still trying to get a response from the company. Everything is under warranty and we were told they are honoring Morrison installs! DO NOT HIRE SUNSET if you want customer service!

    Great experience with these folks! It's hard to find this kind of customer service. Im usually too busy to write reviews. Joe and his team made an impression on me, from the estimate to the completion. Very affordable, in fact best out of the two other I received. I haven't used the AC unit yet. But the heat has never blown this dang hard. House heats up quick. Wife is happy, I'm happy. Shout out to Janet and Jeff, thanks! I didn't get to meet the installers unfortunately, but the wife said very polite and funny.

    Absolute five star service! Peter, the salesman was down to earth and very friendly. Aaron, Ryan, & Armondo installation technicians were on time, efficient, friendly and communicative. Janet and Gina in the office were readily available in office to answer questions. Morrison was fairly priced too and great at communicating throughout process. Highly recommend! Thank you!

    The Morrison team is just great! New heat pump in last spring that worked flawlessly over the summer cooling the home. We had Morrison back out for a fall tune up. Again, great job explaining in detail what they would be doing as well as what they found. All ready for the next season with confidence. Highly recommend them for all heating or cooling needs.

    Start to finish what an amazing experience, Ray the sale person was really great to work with, gave me several options price wise and they were one of the most reasonably priced bids I received. For a new furnace and AC they were $11,000.00 cheaper than the most expensive bid for similarly equipped products(and that price isn't a type "o" along with other company only sold their own brand so couldn't even know what quality I would have gotten) that is how much more reasonable they were. The full cost was pushing my budget so we talked and he came down to meet me at a cost I could afford. The installation was within 2 weeks of the initial conversation, and they were all really nice and knowledgeable when talking to the installation team. I wish I would have started with these guys and not went through weeks of getting other bids before talking to them. What an amazing experience.

    The company installed a mini split in our house. We obtained estimates from three companies. Morrison's was the the most cost-effective in a substantial way. The sales process was prompt and the most informative of the three vendors. The installation crew were very knowledgeable and professional. We had a small issue with the installation that was very efficiently resolved by the owner who was available to discuss our concern and addressed it to our full satisfaction. I would definitely use them again.

    The Morrison team provided excellent customer service, timeliness, and professionalism. They arrived early, communicated clearly the steps they would be taking, creatively worked to problem solve some of the quirkier/more challenging aspects of my old home, and left the space clean. The install looks great and I look forward to having AC for the upcoming summer! Thank you!
