MP Heating & AC

AC went out yesterday while at work. I just moved to Portland from the Midwest and didn't know whom to call. I called MP because they were still open and Sam called me back immediately and met me at my home before 8am. He was great, courteous, respectful and didn't try to sell me more than what I needed. He made sure furnace was checked as well. Very reasonably priced. Can't recommend him highly enough. Call. You won't be disappointed. Even if not in Happy Valley area he will help you out. Incredible work ethic.

We were so fortunate that Sam could fit us in to repair our air conditioning unit during a heatwave! Upon arrival he diagnosed and repaired it quickly. So thankful for your time and your story. We will be having you back soon to replace our old unit!

My husband and I were looking for a company to inspect our furnace. We were very grateful to find MP Heating and Air Conditioning. Sam came out and did an excellent job cleaning our furnace and inspecting our vents. He is friendly, experienced and honest. He was a pleasure to work with. Sam and MP Heating and Air Conditioning service has a varied Yelp review rating. Having been in business as an owner and an executive employee in the home improvements industry, it is difficult to get completely fair reviews as customers get emotional when things do not go right and sometimes the issue is not entirely clear. One issue I notice in the the service industry is that an accurate estimate over the telephone is difficult. Knowing this, I expected the cost for my situation to most likely be higher as I diagnosed one of the problems myself and knew that I could buy the part for $60 and possibly install it correctly. However, I was not completely sure, so I made the call. When Sam did the install, I saw there was much more to it than I would have done.

I recently bought the home and noticed there wasn't any kind of sticker showing a service call in this 10 year old unit so I felt it was best to have the whole system inspected. That is exactly what Sam did explaining everything as he went along. Upon authorizing, he did a thorough cleaning of the entire heating/AC system, checked everything, made a few adjustments, replaced the condensate pump which I already knew needed replacing and made a recomendation for one more possible repair that needed a warmer day to test.

I know dedication to excellence when I see it. Sam did everything paying attention to detail, taking the extra step to make the repair with cleanliness, securing wires properly, respecting the home cleanliness as he worked on a damp day, and engaging with us professionally. His family should be proud of the man he is in manner and character.

Pricing: As mentioned before, it is hard to give an accurate price over the telephone as you must inspect the system thoroughly for an accurate proposal. This was a Saturday and so a house call is a little more which was listed on the website and told to me on the telephone; the cost of the pump was a little higher than if I went to the store and bought it and that is OK (mark-ups are expected in a service business). The inspection cost was exactly as quoted and as we went along and I asked for more work to get done. It was only $150 more than quoted on the telephone for the original service. I think this is very fair for the excellent work, in fact, it is more than fair for also getting a pleasant experience.

You can always find a cheaper price in products/services and generally, this comes with average to poor quality and work. Premium service requires premium prices in business. This is how you keep great employees that provide excellent service and sustain your business. You want a great anything? You pay more for that product or service. This is life and I have almost always found this as truth as a consumer and definitely in business operations.

Do you want great service and a fair price? Sam, MP Heating and Air Conditioning is a good, reliable team. They have my support and confidence to take care of a very major system in my home for as long as I own this property. I highly recommend them for their services. ~R.C.

Excellent service! Sam accommodated us on his schedule during a very busy time of year when we had an emergency water leak. He arrived promptly and found a clog in the drain, quickly replaced the necessary part and cleaned the A/C unit and filters. He also educated us on how to do our own maintenance between servicing appointments. Highly recommend!

I love working with Sam and the MP Heating team. They are always quick to respond and fit me into what I'm sure is an already busy schedule. MP just serviced my furnace and cleaned out our dryer vent and everything was great. I highly recommend MP Heating and Air Conditioning!

My experience with Sam from MP heating and ac was great! Sam came out the same day (which was a Sunday) and diagnosed and fixed the problem efficiently as well as serviced my heater and ac. He was very friendly and good at explaining things.

Sam and his team were fantastic. They took care of what we needed and we never felt "sold" on things we didnt need. Every contractor I know is booked out weeks or months. MP Heating managed to work us into their schedule even though they were exhausted and booked out. If we were willing to be flexible, they were as well. I still felt like I was treated like their best and only customer! I highly recommend MP Heating!

I am so impressed with Sam and his efficiency. He has serviced both my furnace and air conditioner and has done a fantastic job! He sets up an appointment as quick as possible which is great because whether it’s the furnace or air conditioner I appreciate getting them serviced right away, especially furnace for winter! The best part is how friendly he is and so comfortable to have him in my home!!!

I appreciate MP Heating & Air Conditioning for coming out and providing superior customer service! We needed to redo our entire ducting in our basement and they took it all out reinstalled it and cleaned up the mess! They took the time to make sure our floors were protected from all the debris. They were the best value and really nice professional guys with a positive attitude ! I would highly recommend to anyone!
