Fantastic service! Glen was able to quickly troubleshoot our outdoor AC unit and got it working again. He contacted us by phone early in the morning and let us know he would call us an hour ahead of time so we didn't have to wait at home all day. He was very knowledgable and answered all my questions. He was able to quickly fix the issue and got us cooling again! We will defintely be using their service in the future again for any HVAC heating and cooling service needs.

It’s NOT always just about the money! This company not only warmed up our home quickly, but also warmed up our hearts during a very difficult time!
Yes, people work to earn money, and businesses are operated to cover costs and make profit. Our mother often quoted this little verse from the Bible, “The laborer deserves his wages,” when the topic of how much services cost came up.
Our very old furnace stopped working in the middle of a weekend night. We were already struggling through some unexpected expenses on top of my regular medical costs. I share my home with family, and there were three young children and a brand-new infant downstairs that would be waking to a very cold morning. I had just lost a week of work as my mother had passed away.
Many places wouldn’t even be open on weekends, and those that were would probably be charging a higher weekend service fee just for coming out to inspect the furnace.
I called Right Now Beaverton Heating and Cooling. Jack, the owner, asked me some questions about the furnace, and then gently let me know it would be wise to start thinking about a new furnace soon (I believe the furnace to be close to 30 years old!). I briefly explained my current situation and how a new furnace was on our list to save up for. It sounded like the costs of the diagnostic visit and possible replacement parts/repairs would be more than I could pay at the time. I would have to save up and call him back when I had it saved. I thanked him for his time and all the information he had given me.
That’s when Jack wished me a “Merry Christmas” and told me his partner, Glen, would be out soon to check the furnace over and do what they could to get us some heat!
Beaverton Heating and Cooling then gave us the most unexpected and most appreciated gift of the holiday season! Just a short time later Glen called to say he was on his way. The professionalism, knowledge and skill of this man were amazing. It was a tricky furnace and appeared to have been “jimmy-rigged” by a previous service company. It took him several hours and several parts to get the furnace going, but he did it! Then he allowed me to give him a hug and he, too, wished me a Merry Christmas and was on his way!
I will be saving up for a new furnace! It will take some time with our higher medical expenses, but it can be done. And I already know who I will be calling on for the purchase and installation of that new furnace ¬– Right Now Beaverton Heating and Cooling!

We are out-of-state landlords with high standards for the care of our tenants, so when the furnace started acting up and heating intermittently this past December it was important to get the problem solved and tenant confidence re-established. Being an engineer, I would have normally troubleshot this problem myself if I was there. I give high marks to Glen for the knowledge and patience he showed when discussing the problem on the phone *before* the repair visit... I had a lot of questions and relayed observations (from the tenant). Once he arrived he was decisive in finding the underlying problem - control of the gas valve on the control board. A quick swap with a new board and all was well. Everyone was happy.
Now, 6 weeks later the furnace comes up with some new symptoms and he was called in to troubleshoot those-resulting in a fix (induction fan) that has the tenants happy again. The tenant had been so pleased with the work of Glen's first visit, that she called Glen before she called me the second time around :) Of course Glen asked her to have me give him a call to authorize the visit. Again he showed the patience and respect for my questions and concerns.
Bottom line, I would not hesitate to recommend Glen for any heater work.
Note to American Standard/Trane - I'll be contacting your customer care department concerning the six part replacements this furnace has required over it's (so far) 12 -14 years. This furnace seems to have the repair profile of a (free) Harbor Freight flashlight.... if you are a DIY person, you are hopefully laughing :)

My husband and I had recently moved into our new home and were wanting to replace the thermostat. We ran into a few issues and called Beaverton Heating and Cooling. Not only were they responsive but they stayed on the line and walked us through the whole process until the situation was resolved and new thermostat was installed. We have a very old oil furnace. Glen was able to get it up and running again with a few
repairs. I believe he is the best in the business. I would always use them in the future.
Jack was very helpful on the phone when I called. Good personal service that is missing

Mostly good experience with these guys. Routine service led to diagnosis of serious issues (not surprised considering performance over the winter) with our 8-9 yo heat pump system and a recommendation to replace vs. repair. Glen was great about sharing options for replacement that were reasonable. A quick comparison of costs with other dealers led me to believe a fair and competitive quote was provided and we moved ahead with replacement. We are one week into use and I just registered for the extended warranties. The quote was the final price.
Two issues I had which I feel compelled to share.
The initial service appointment was missed because the technician failed to add it to his calendar. He called later and gave an appropriate apology so I elected to reschedule as there was no urgency to the service.
The other issue was a bit more irritating. The unit failed to deliver heat the first time we used it after installation. I sent a text asking to have it looked at sometime the next two days and William was very promptly (30-40 minutes first thing on a Saturday morning) sent to investigate. He quickly found the problem (explained as a rare but known reset that can occur right after installation) and it has been fine since then. A bit concerning but I believe it was either a quirk as explained or a minor installation mistake that was quickly and appropriately addressed. However he immediately asked me to take out my phone and write a positive review for him. I was in the midst of preparing for a birthday party within the next hour and was visibly occupied with that. It moved beyond an ask and became a hassling as he asked for my phone and stood there asking/telling for me to write the review at that moment. This behavior was not professional to me and I wonder how many reviews on here were also socially forced. I held firm and promised to write a review later as it was already on my to-do list and here it is.

They were able to come out the same day when my furnace went out, and since I have reptiles I cannot let my place get below 65 with the cold coming in. They got my furnace up and running and gave some money saving tips and things to look out. Super courteous and professional. I absolutely cannot recommend them enough

Over The Top Service & Support!!!!
Let me start by saying when I made the call for help with my furnace not working, It was nice to have a real voice answer the phone even on a Sunday to come fix my heating unit. Jack who answered the phone said he will have a technician out to fix it asap that day. He talked and explained to me that, as old as of a furnace as we have there could be multiple issues and that we may need to replace the whole furnace. But he will let the technician determine that when he gets here. I had explained to him that my wife has stage 3 cancer and with the chemo treatments she cannot tolerate very much cold, and also that I had just got out of major surgery myself. So at this point we are strapped for money to pay for a new unit. Within a few minutes William the technician called and told me what time he will arrive. He called to let me know he was on the way and showed up as scheduled. When William arrived he tried his best to get it back up and running that day. Being that the furnace was so old, He said it will take two days to get the parts because of New Years day and the fact that everything will be closed. One of the Over the top things William did knowing that our house was freezing and we could not get the furnace to work that day, He went out of his way to pick up a couple space heaters to use around the house until he could come back with the parts to fix the furnace. William came back in the evening two days later after I was done at work and installed the new parts. At that point the service was quick, kind and extremely courteous with everything working. The next day the furnace stopped heating again. Over the top again, William came back that day to see what else could be causing another issue. As with any older item like a furnace, Sometimes when you change out some parts, Other items can start to not function as well within a couple days. William had determined that he may need to also replace the pressure switch and did some modification to the furnace to make it work again for the time being. Once again all was working for the next couple days until around 2AM Sunday morning when it failed again. I called back and Jack answered the call again even in the early morning and said he will send William back again at no charge but thoroughly explained to me that with a furnace this old, we could be just constantly changing out parts to keep it running. He mentioned that there is a finance option that we can do through them to replace the whole unit. Being backed in the corner with bills from surgeries and not knowing what we have to face with cost from my wife's cancer expenses, I told him it was not a good time and our budget was out the door for now. Jack said he will do their best to try to resolve the problem one more time. I have personally never come across this quality of excellent service and treatment as what Beaverton Heating & Cooling has provided for me. They have provided honest and upfront answers on everything from cost and what can be expected with my options. I will always recommend Beaverton Heating & Cooling to anyone who has heating and cooling needs.
