We are extremely pleased with the professional workmanship by Glen and Jacob. They were accurate in finding the problem. When we later decided it was time for a new unit we knew they were the ONLY company to call. They are prompt and professional. We could see the quality of work. They were very thorough in all aspects of the installation. Their guarantee and follow-up cannot be matched either.

Call Jack and Glen First!! So glad we did. A couple of years ago they were Fantastic to work with and installed a new Lennox AC unit. Fast forward and our current tenants had an issue with it during a Hot Spell. Jack immediately responded and worked us into his already full schedule. Turns out the issue was operator's error, and he was nice enough to teach our tenants how to use it effectively. Then he didn't charge for the service call. What?! We are So Grateful!! Especially with how quickly he worked us in and how helpful he was onsite. Our tenants called and mentioned how Great Jack was as well. We now have three 5-star experiences with Beaverton Heating and Cooling / Right Now Home Services, and highly recommend them! Thank you guys!!

My furnace from 1996 pooped out on me on a Saturday with two daughters with colds and Glen was out the same day diagnosing what was wrong. He was able to explain my two options of fixing or replacing and I decided to go with replacement. They were able to come early Sunday morning to fix it. Jacob was prompt and quick with everything he did and didn’t leave before making sure that I understood what was done and that I was comfortable with everything before even asking for my payment. I will definitely be going back to them for any future heating and cooling issues that may arise.

We were having issues with our furnace turning on/off. Called Beaverton Heating and Cooling and got a very quick, same-day appointment for that evening. A tech came out and assessed we needed a new blower motor. A few days later the parts arrived and the repairs were quickly done by Jacob. Additionally, Jacob also helped us remove an old/unused furnace from our house. All in all we were really pleased with how responsive and helpful they were.

These guys did a great job over the summer for me. I needed an AC unit replaced and every other company I called was booked into October. They got my AC unit installed within days. I would recommend them to anyone.

I called about 9 am on a Wednesday that both my gas furnace and gas fireplace were not working. Jacob arrived within 2 hours the same day, determined the blower motor was burned out. He carefully explained the options on my 23 year old furnace and I decided on replacing it. He said they could do it the next day! Jacob and his manger arrived as scheduled about 11 am. They completed the install by 3 PM. Checked the fireplace and found it was just a bad wall switch, nothing wrong with the fireplace. All done at the quoted price and out the door by 3:30. Both very professional and friendly. Would definitely recommend this company and use them again.

Of all of the places I called getting estimates for someone to come look and see what was wrong with my furnace and this was the only company that could come the same day; however, that's not why I went with them. I went with this company because they talked to me about what might be wrong more than the other companies, the company is local and small, and they genuinely wanted my business.
Glen did a great job. He was polite and courteous, prompt, and my furnace was fixed in less than 24 hours.
Thanks a bunch!

If I can provide 10 celebrities I would. They appeared in a timely manner and also found the problem to be a straightforward clogged drain. I had a various business out before these men who claimed that I required to change an extremely costly part of $900 on the unit. Fortunately I shed their contact info and they never followed up with me for the repair service ... thankful this firm had the ability to take care of the issue quickly at a fraction of the cost. Thanks a bunch!

We were very impressed with the response time and the immediate concern of trying to get out furnace working. He checked out the furnace and carries a lot of parts in the truck. Jack changed the igniter and pressure switch which got the furnace working., however, it stopped working a second time so we called him again and he responded again within 30 minutes. He left another job to come back to us and managed to get the furnace up and running but cautioned that we may need other parts which he went and retrieved in case we needed them. Called him a third time and he responded with the new parts and is currently installing them. We could not have asked for better service and will definitely recommend them and use them for our furnace and air conditioning servicing from this point forward. Thank you Jack!

Long story short, they convinced me to buy a furnace that was too big, and cost me more than I needed to spend, they broke my air conditioner, wouldn't fix it, tried to sell me an AC unit that was also too big, and ended up costing me an additional 800$ to have my AC fixed by someone else. Please read my story, before you choose them.
When I first wrote this review (in the middle of winter) I gave these guys 5 stars. We were in a pinch, and while other companies were two weeks out, these guys came out in an emergency and replaced our furnace within a day, which really impressed us. Since then, so many things have gone wrong.
While replacing our furnace, Glen made changes to our adjoining air conditioner. One major change he made, was he removed a snug fitting box that was around the coil. This box was designed to force the air through the coil, which is necessary to rapidly cool the air. Without the snug box, the air will travel the path of least resistance (around the coil), and the ability of the coil to cool the air is greatly diminished. I know this, because I did some research after Glen told me that he removed that box because, in his words, it served no purpose, and the original installer didn't know what they were doing. As I mentioned, this was in the middle of winter. Glen assured me, that he would come back in the summer, and make sure that my AC was working properly. He told me that because he modified it, it was on him to make sure it works right. I should also mention, that every time he and I talked about the AC unit, he kept telling me that it's too small for my house, I need a bigger unit.
Fast-forward to summer. No surprise, the AC does not work. Glen came back as promised, without charging us anything, to fix it. The whole time he is trying to fix it, he is trying to convince me that I need to get a bigger unit, which is going to cost me another 6000$. He, "just wants to do what is best for my house". My house is 1800 square feet. He wants me to buy a 3.5 ton AC unit. The AC is worse, after his attempt to fix it. At one point, I almost caved and told him replace it, out of frustration. We had a couple of 96 degree days in a row and were miserable. During his second attempt to fix our AC unit, Glen brought a buddy. He didn't realize that my office window was open and I could hear everything he was telling this kid. The real reason he removed the smaller box that was around my AC coil, was that the new furnace was too big and he crushed the smaller box, so he had to put in a bigger one. Bingo. By the way, all the time that Glen is trying to get our AC working, I keep texting him, and asking him about the smaller box that he removed from the coil, and the air taking the path of least resistance around the coil. He keeps denying that has anything to do with it. After going back and forth with Glen for weeks I finally gave up. When we last spoke, the ball was in his court to come back and make a 3rd attempt to fix the AC. He has not sent me a text or tried to call me in 30 days.
So, I call up the original AC unit installers. They assessed the situation and confirmed my suspicion. Glen had installed the coil wrong. Air was just moving around it, instead of through it. 800$ later, our AC unit is back to keeping our house comfortably cool as it was before these guys replaced our furnace. By the way, I got opinions from 3 other companies, and all of them said that the AC unit that I have is right-sized for my house.
If you need service in the Portland area, call "Columbia NW Heating and Air Conditioning". We had to wait a week or two for them to get an install tech out to us, but it was worth the wait. That company also has fantastic customer service. Even sent me automated text messages for appointment reminders and letting me know when the tech was on the way.
Beaverton Heating and Cooling company also goes by Right Now Home Services, just FYI.
