OMG. They arrived in February to assess our oven. The tech made a snide remark about we should expect problems from high-end appliances. He left saying they needed to prefer parts. A month later we called to get an update. They had not ordered the parts. At the end of April they said they had the parts, we scheduled the repair. The day of repair they called to say they didn’t have the parts. We rescheduled. Today (week 2 of May) they were scheduled to repair the oven. By 11 they had not arrived. My wife called 3 times and was finely on hold for 20 minutes to be yoke they did not have Greg parts and did not know when they would. 3 months with a broken oven. Who knows when it will be fixed? This company is awful! Stay away.

Only rating this one star as you can’t rate it a zero. Worst customer service and lack of professionalism. I called this company to repair my dryer and troubleshoot. After a month it is still not repaired. They came out the first time with the wrong part, understandable it happens. After the first attempt I asked them to over night the correct part to get it addressed, and two weeks later they scheduled for the third service. An hour after the third scheduled appointment they called me and said they had ordered the incorrect part again with no explanation. I get the impression that they don’t care. It has now been over a month with no path forward and a dryer that is still not functioning. No one ever answers the phone when you attempt to call and it can be weeks before they get back to you. Would recommend going another route if you are looking to have your appliances repaired!

Do NOT use this company. We made the mistake of calling them when our home's GE oven stopped heating mainly because the company was easy to get a hold of and quick to send a technician over to our home. While the technician himself was nice, he was young and seemed inexperienced - he was on the phone with someone from the company asking them questions the entire time - and, most importantly, completely misdiagnosed the issue with our oven (more on that below). Not only did this company charge us a $200 service fee for sending the technician out to give us this misdiagnosis, but they wanted to charge us an astronomical amount ($1,800) to fix the 'problem' they incorrectly identified. When I asked him the technician why it was so expensive he responded that 'the labor would take hours because there are so many screws they need to remove to access the part.' I told him I would think on it and get back to them shortly.

Fast forward a few weeks of doing some research of my own and calling around and I was able to finally get another appliance repair company to come out (they are hard to get a hold of in central OR but the good ones are booked up for a reason...) to look at our oven. It was immediately apparent that the technician for this company actually knew what he was doing, and within 30 minutes of tinkering with the oven he informed me that Oregon Appliance Repair's diagnosis (faulty high limit switch) was completely off. He even showed me with a tester that the high limit switch in my oven was fully functional. In another 30 minutes he correctly identified the problem (control panel issue), fixed the issue it by soldering the control panel, and we now have a fully functional oven. The best part? The repair cost us $228 - just $28 more than what Oregon Appliance Repair charged us to send someone out to misdiagnose our problem, and $1,600 less than what they wanted to fix that imaginary problem.

I'm convinced that OR appliance repair's business model is to take advantage of the fact that handymen/appliance repair companies in central OR are in short supply to try to scam non-handy people (like myself) into paying astronomical sums to fix their appliances. Do yourself a favor and use anyone other than this company to fix your appliances.

The tech was on time, efficient and attempted to fix the problem with my microwave with the least costly option. A part was ordered, once they had it, they called and offered an appointment the next business day. He arrived on time was through and expeditious.

I had previously left a negative review but after receiving a call from Ruby with Oregon Appliance Repair and her help in understanding the situation then navigating through the home warranty company I understood they were not at fault. In fact I now know that Oregon Appliance Repair is an exceptional company with professional service. Oregon Appliance Repair I’m sorry for the previous negative review and thank you for your excellent service.

We called this company when our washing machine needed repair. Things got off to a rocky start when the first technician was clearly out of his league when diagnosing the problem. They then sent out Tyler at no additional charge, a senior technician who was far better qualified. He had to make 2 more visits before the problem was finally fixed, but he persisted and the washer is now working again. Not the smoothest of experiences but all's well that ends well! On the plus side, the company returned phone calls, called a day ahead with a window for the techs to arrive, and the techs arrived as expected. We would suggest asking for Tyler if calling for service.

Last year contacted them to repair a broken knob on our Viking gas range. They quoted me $800, and said it could be closer to $1500(!) I bought the part online and replaced the knob myself. It took 10 minutes. I accidentally called them again a few days ago to replace a part on our $2k beverage cooler. I had the part already, but just needed someone to install it. I expected a $300 service call at the most. They quoted me $1700 because ‘it could take up to 4 hours’. Do yourself a favor and call someone else. Notice that the bad reviews are specific and the good reviews are generic. I wonder how much they’re paying for them.

Terrible communication, never answer their phone, take days to get back to you, and they tried to overcharge me for service and wouldn't provide any sort of justification for their pricing.

But if you want the real reason not to call these guys, just look at their responses to critical reviews; very rude, accusatory, and never accepting blame. If that many people give you a 1-star review, maybe it's time to look in the mirror and see what you're doing wrong?

EDIT: Oh, the irony. Sometimes you can't make this up.

Last night I received 2 calls from Oregon Appliance Repair, back to back. Both times they asked me to reconsider my review and if there was "anything we can do to make it right". They even offered to replace the part they were previously overcharging FOR FREE. I told them I would rather pay someone else to deal with it than continue working with them. They also told me that the person leaving nasty responses to negative reviews had been "written up", and that it wouldn't happen again. Moments after the second call, they responded to my review.

I've since reported them to American Home Shield so that other people hopefully don't have to go through the hassle of dealing with them anymore.

Edit #2: So much for their online feedback manager getting written up... I'd love to hear what your attorney will do about me reporting this kind of disrespectful behavior to American Home Shield, but it's already been reported so best of luck.

Superior service overall. Amazing communication from the minute I first contacted them. I had an issue with my refrigerator, leaking water, and it turned out to be the water tank. They made it super easy to set up a time, purchase, the correct components, and assist me throughout the repair. 10 out of 10 I highly recommend!!

Review of the Portland, Oregon office. Was assigned this company through American Home Shield and they came to see my double wall oven 1/9/23. At that appointment, the technician asked if I would be able to assist in lifting the double oven out of the wall! I told him no. By February, I called because I hadn't heard back from them. Office staff apologized because the tech had not even ordered the parts. She submitted the parts order and assured me it would get done. I informed her of my fears of a bad result because the tech wanted me to help lift the oven. She apologized and said he should never had requested that and that they are trained to handled double ovens. After more canceled appointments than I wish to remember, the same tech came on 3/20/23 and brought parts. However he did not have a dolly to lift the oven out of the wall and informed me he would not be able to perform the repair because he was only 1 person and could not deal with a double wall oven. While he was still there, I called the office and AHS to complain. After 2 days, they returned my call and told me that they were sending it back to AHS because they don't have dollies and have only 1 tech so they cannot repair double wall ovens. It is now 3/25/23 and AHS informed me that the company submitted it to them as job completed! Now I have to wait, yet again, for the company to correctly inform AHS that the job is not complete and for it to be referred to a company to actual do the repair. BUY your techs a dolly so they can do the job assigned! So as we approach April, I still do not have the repair done which was reported 1/4/23.
