My husband and I were having issues with our AC and we planned on replacing the AC and the furnace together, so we called CJ's. The tech came out, but we had changed our mind about the diagnostic and we told him we were actually looking to replace our entire system, so the tech called Joe to have him come look at everything.

Joe came out the same day to go over our options to replace the equipment. He checked everything out and got all of the measurements he needed. He was very thorough about everything, professional, and extremely patient. Because of him, I learned a lot about HVAC system, maintenance, repair, importance of permits, etc. He basically gave us a free course on the importance of proper installation and a lot of other beneficial information.

Joe was helpful and did everything he could to help us get a good deal for a new HVAC system. Unfortunately, we couldn't find a good financing option to use for them, but they had several options, Of course, they don't control who gets approved or doesn't. Since we weren't able to pay out of pocket, we had to go with another company, but I would still recommend them because of the excellent quality of customer service and willingness to help.

I have used CJS for years - when they were the prior company too. I had them come out to do my yearly air conditioner check in the spring and the technician said that there was a leak somewhere and the air conditioner was probably going to stop producing cold air before the summer was out. She then checked the furnace and said there was a problem with it which she said would be a very expensive repair (over $2,000). She said due to the age of the air conditioner and furnace (10 years) maybe I should consider replacing them and she could have a sales person come out. Within an hour, I had a sales person at my house showing me new air conditioner and furnaces. The costs were outrageous. The middle of the road air conditioner and furnace was $13,000 but if I purchased it within 48 hours, I would get a discount down to $11,000 (still WAY too high). Anytime when someone says they will reduce the price if you buy in a short time frame is a HUGE red flag and not the way to do business. I called another company and they came out and checked the furnace (it was too cold the day they came to check the air conditioner) and they said the condensate trap had a leak in it. They said I would need a new one at some point and the cost would be $121! I paid $99 for them to diagnose the problem. They found nothing else wrong with the furnace. I had them send a sales person out in case I did need a new air conditioner and she quoted a middle of the road air conditioner and furnace for $8,000! Huge difference in cost. There was also no 48 hour deadline to make a decision. At that point, I signed up for their maintenance plan and I was done with CJS. I had the same company come out the following week - at no charge because of the maintenance plan - to look at the air conditioner. They found no leaks. I wanted to wait until I got through the entire summer to see how the air conditioner would do and I had NO problems with it and I ran it EVERY single day 24/7 from April until a couple of weeks ago. I called my new heating and cooling company to come out today to do the furnace check up and replace the condensate trap and they told me the cost for the part went down to $96 and they would replace it with no technician charge because of the maintenance plan. I told the person on the phone I'm glad the part price went down instead of up and she said, even if the cost went up, they would still charge me the same amount they quoted in April. That's the way to do business. Be honest and don't try to sell something to someone that they don't need.

Angela came out and was extremely professional. I often feel that I am being “sold” more services, but that was not the case with Angela! She told us what she would recommend, why, and how we can schedule those/what time frame we should get them scheduled. She also was able to identify an airflow issue which explained a lot of other issues we have been having! Last but not least, she thanked my husband for his service as a marine and it made his day. I will always recommend CJS to family and friends!

Jonathan was very good, tried everything before deciding we needed a new water heater. New being installed tomorrow.
New water heater installed, Jonathan came back and too out the old, replaced water and gas lines and installed the new water heater. Fast and professional, I would highly recommend them.
