TLC showed up outside of the service window, DID NOT CALL even though I mentioned more than 5 times it was a rental property, and I am required by law to inform tenants. They started "the clock" while they waited for me to arrive (since it was not our scheduled time and they had not called). They then proceeded to charge me FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS to replace an outdoor faucet. The entire job itself took 15 minutes, but was padded by two dudes that couldn't figure out to bring all of their tools to the backyard, and instead walked back and forth between the truck and the faucet. IT'S A FAUCET, it should not cost $500 to swap some simple hardware. There is plenty of room for the company to make money AND charge a fair price to it's customers. If you are up for some classic price gouging, be sure to contact TLC.
**UPDATE**TLC's response below to this review is an attempt to show they are responding to these reviews and is smoke and mirrors. I don't need to be "contacted" I just needed to be charged properly. Don't leave "seemingly" interested public responses, just don't over charge for services. You all make money, your customers get a fair deal. PERIOD.

My wife and I recently moved to Santa Fe. We bought a nice home but it needed some repairs. We called TLC to look at the old evaporative (swamp) cooler on top of our home. We were not surprised when we were told it was not worth repairing. Justin, the TLC representative that came to our home to attempt to repair the old cooler helped us understand the different coolers we could purchase to replace the old cooler, and he helped us understand the pros and cons of the different units. We purchased a new cooler through TLC and Justin, Ryan and another TLC employee installed the coolers within days.
The coolers work great and they are exactly what was needed to keep our house cool.
A few days later we had a lightning strike near our home. The lighting damaged the pump for the boiler that heats our home. (The lighting also fried our cable box and internet modem.) We called TLC and the technician (a plumber) that came our home identified the problem, ordered the part and installed it a couple of days later. The technician and his assistant were very professional and his troubleshooting saved us thousands of dollars to replace the boiler.
All of the TLC employees we have worked with have been polite, knowledgeable and professional. All of the charges for work done by TLC have been reasonable.
We strongly recommend TLC.

Greg did an outstanding job re-routing my main water valve and in-line filter, replacing PRV and installing a Moen Flo water detection device. He was very thorough with explaining what he was going to do and provided options of how best to do the work. I am thoroughly satisfied with the service I received.

Our water heater pilot light would not ignite so we called TLC in Santa Fe, NM and they were able to send Sergio and Hugo out right away and after assessing the situation it was decided a replacement was necessary. Sergio and Hugo were able to come back the next day to install and get our water heater up to code and they did an absolutely fantastic and professional job. Sergio is very precise and really went through extra mile to make sure all the piping and ducts were done to code. They were both so friendly and made this whole process a delight! We have had them install a new gas furnace and fix some drains as well. You can’t go wrong with the professionals at TLC in Santa Fe, NM!

We have used TLC for various things over the years. They have always been easy to reach, fairly priced and have good communication through the process. We had a new furnace/water heater combo installed this year and then changed over to natural gas while selling the house. It was a crazy time with realtors, inspectors, buyers and us involved. They worked with us and really went above and beyond to make sure inspections went smooth and deadlines were met, even when there were surprise last minute needs. Gabriel (amazing HVAC tech through the whole process), David (manager who rearranged his schedule to make sure the inspection passed when it really needed to), Fernando (who went over after hours when a last-second need came up) and Erin (in the office, answered all my questions whenever I got nervous) were all incredible.

In a town where it's hard to find help, TLC responded immediately to my inquiry about replacing my old water heater and fixing a problem with the dryer I'd just bought. Justin and another technician whose name I forget came to my house to assess the situation. They immediately diagnosed the problem with my dryer and didn't charge me anything for that because it was such an easy fix (the gas wasn't turned on! -- which the dryer techs had not noticed in TWO VISITS). They gave me an excellent quote for a new water heater, and I decided to go with them because of their responsiveness, knowledge, and professionalism. The job was scheduled within a week, and Justin, the technician who did the work, was fantastic -- totally polite, professional, and efficient. This is a great company!

In anticipation of our all-electric future, I want to replace my propane radiant system with a heat pump. Mitsubishi looked high-quality, so I looked for contractors on their web site. The first two I contacted were simply unresponsive. TLC got back to me, made an appt., and a young man named Tony came to my house. He suggested a split system, and said he'd get back to me with a quote. Two weeks later, nothing, so I called the office. The guy there said either Tony would reply or someone else would get back to me that day. That was three weeks ago. What's up with the contractors around here? I figure two possibilities.
1) They're so busy they figure they no longer have to be responsive, or even courteous.
2) They signed up with Mitsubishi, but don't really know much about heat pumps, so they practice avoidance.
Whatever.

This company , went beyond what a company is expected to do. If you are looking for an honest company that stands by their work , please use this company . I had one issue after installation, and they were their the next day ! David is a man of his word . I only wish he did everything else for my house. I highly highly recommend this company here in Santa Fe !
