Cartwright's Plumbing Heating & Cooling

Our shower and bathtub backed up with water when our washing machine drained. We called Cartwright's and since it was late on a Sunday, I expected an exorbitant fee for repairs. Malcolm from Cartwright's called and he showed up a half hour later, and within an hour he had cleared our drains and left us with working toilets, showers, and tubs and also left us very happy and satisfied. The fee was more than reasonable and the service was completed professionally and fast. Thank you!

This company will rip you off. Cartwright's charged me $583.50 in labor for a few manual labor tasks and a mini-camera inspection of a venting system (exactly two PVC vents). Total time worked? Less than an hour. Total bill for less than an hour? $722.86. I complained and they gave me the run-around, saying that they charge by the "job". I asked them what job could justify $583 for less than an hour's work and they stopped answering my multiple emails. I filed a complaint with the Consumer Protection Division of the Attorney General's Office. Even after telling them I had hired them 10 months prior for a different mini-camera inspection and it was half the price? No response. I am shocked that this place hasn't been shut down for unfair trade practices, they're predators.

Great experiences with every interaction. A live person answered the phone immediately and they were able to schedule my AC repair the next day between 1 and 3. At 12:30 the office called to say they were on their way and then 5 minutes later the technician called to also confirm he was on the way. The service call was very professional and the technician extremely friendly and helpful. Within an hour the AC was back in business. I'd definitely call again for any issues with my plumbing or air.

Eric and Jake came out, arriving early in the "service window" provided, and finished quickly and professionally. I am very pleased with Cartwright's Plumbing, and will never use anyone else when I can help it. They have always been fast, courteous, and professional. Thank you!

They took advantage of 87 year old woman. She had a gas leak no heat they charged 1000.00 dollars and only pressurized tested some lines and said they didn't know where the leak was and we needed new lines for 17000.00 .We dug our selves and found the leak for free. What a scam. Please don't use them they will charge you thousands and give you ZERO SERVICE.You have no choice but to pay. So Sad!

I had a plugged toilet, so I contacted Cartwright's. They were in town (in Taos) so thankfully they waived the travel fee. However, after 5 minutes of "work" and $285 later I was told I need a new toilet. Bummer for me that I had to pay that much money for nothing - my toilet wasn't fixed. When I called to ask if it's customary to charge that much for nothing, the nice gal said that I actually should have been charged more! Yikes! So, I called a different plumber (Pro-Mech Plumbing & Heating - they are excellent!!) and he came and spent 2 minutes to tell me that I need a new toilet. He then installed a new toilet and he only charged $60 total for it. I highly recommend him! I wish I would have called him first! He's now done a few other plumbing needs for us and he's excellent and at a MUCH better price!!

Greg Ortiz did a great job replacing my sink strainer that was leaking. It cost more than expected but getting a plumbers time in Los Alamos is a premium. He even noticed that I needed the water line and electric package for my new dishwasher installed and did it without charging me the whole dishwasher install fee fee. 1.5 hours and my problem was solved. These guys work on a flat fee structure so make sure you get an estimate.

I had a furnace problem last weekend in the midst of a Santa Fe WInter .
Cartwright's was recommended to me, and luckily for me Eric Manring was the man they sent to help.
He was friendly, efficient ,and acted as if he knew exactly what he was doing...and HE DID!
Highly recommended.
Also the ladies that handled the phones were personable and professional.

I explained what my problem was to their dispatcher we set up a time, she did make sure to inform me of a trip charge to come to Taos and I accepted that.
The guy came to look at my situation, I showed him my thermal that I had that I used to narrow down the area, he went to his van a couple times then told me that he would email me an estimate the next day & that he couldn’t do anything today. Then he wrote up an invoice for the trip charge. I’ve yet to get an estimate even after emailing him direct. So he drove up here to make $200 and now I believe he had no intention of doing any work from the beginning or there after. I would cation anyone looking for a plumber to stay away from this company.

Very responsive. Techs were friendly,knowledgeable and efficient
