A-Absolute - Air Conditioning, Plumbing & Heating

My experience was not good...I called for emergency service on my AC, they promised someone would be there at a certain time, but it was hours before they arrived and each time I'd call for an update, the tech was "on the way." Once they arrived and looked at the problem they wanted to charge what I felt was an outrageous price for repair so I did not have them work on my AC (a second opinion from another company that did the repair proved me correct). I gave them two stars because the tech was professional and apologetic, but I don't trust whoever is running things. There are better service providers out there.

I called absolute because I had no heat, I had 3 other plumbers at my house first who could not figure out what was wrong with my boiler, they all charged me a service call, and told me I needed a new boiler for over $8,000, Steve from absolute figured out the problem in minutes for no charge and fixed it for only $429. It was like he was a magician. He was friendly, informative and reasonably priced. He saved me thousands of dollars. I would recommend absolute plumbing for anyone in need of good reliable trustworthy service. Steve and absolute plumbing are by far the best plumbers in new Jersey.

The technician was very knowledgeable on what he was doing and knew exactly what the issue was with our heat hot water combo system. He stayed until it was fixed and treated us like we were his own family. Very extremely satisfied with him and the company highly recommend

I could not recommend A-Absolute enough! We had an "Urgent" HVAC request, and initially tried to use AJ perri. They scheduled us 2 days out, and then when the date of service arrived they were late, and claimed that they couldn't find parking in Hoboken and needed to reschedule for a week later. After AJ Perri fell through, we reached out to Absolute and they were here in less than hour! Alex our technician was polite, speedy, and knowledgeable. We would definitely use Absolute again and plan on recommending them to other Hoboken residents.

A Absolute is Absolutely HORRIBLE!! I had a brand new water heater installed less than a year ago and this water tank has failed numerous times! I have requested someone of authority to call me but it has gone on deaf ears and no one has called with concern. They constantly send multiple technicians to my home with in one day. Everytime someone comes their first response is "I don't know why they sent me I don't do this" I was charged almost 4k for a water heater that does not work. Do Not waste your time or Money.

My hot water heater stopped working. I called Absolute and they were very fast to respond. The dispatch set up an appointment for the following day. The plumber's name was Carlos. He was awesome, honest and very efficient. He replaced the old water heater and was done is 3 hours. He cleaned up and left. I wish I would have gotten his last name. Thanks Carlos! :-)

How this establishment scored 4 stars or more boggles my mind. Had a clogged toilet and A Absolut sent Fernando. He arrived a little after the time estimated but that's not the issue. He spent less than an hour here and determined my clogged toilet was a result of collapsed sewage pipe all full of tree roots. He sent a camera down but did not take video. Who sends a camera down and not take video? They are well aware that I need this for insurance purposes. At the end of his 45 minute visit, he charged me around $520, told me the cost to replace the whole pipe was $10K and left me with an illegible report. Lo and behold, the clog came back the next day because the plumber did not fully clear the clog out. I had another plumber come and do the same exact job, left me with video of the sewer pipe, in case I wanted to use another plumber, marked on my lawn where the plumber needs to dig to change the pipe and spent a total of 3 hours of here for less the money charged than A Absolut Plumbing.

I called them back to voice my complaints, played phone tag for about a week and they finally came to the conclusion that this is MY FAULT because I wasn't aware of their guarantee to call them back and have the job re-done. The plumber did not tell me there was a guarantee and it doesn't say so on their invoice. It would have been nice if someone had said "Oh, if you experience any more problems, please call back because there is a FREE GUARANTEE". I was so upset with the crappy job done I called another plumber and got the same procedures re-done with better quality service.

Instead, they gave me a $200 credit for a future job. Why would I even put myself through this bullshit again?

I had a rusty valve that was leaking, I called, they were able to have someone come and replace it when I was available. The person who they sent was very respectful and professional. The repair was finished quickly and cost as much as I was expecting, no surprises.

had a 7 years old GE water heater. On Friday morning I found out that there was no hot water coming up. I called the company and a technician came to exam the heater. He told me that I need to replace it with a new one. I was very naive about the market price regarding the installation of a water heater and trusted them about the price that they provided. They charged me $1650 for installing a Rheem 40 Gallon PROG40-38N-RH62 gas water heater. After they finished the work, I went online and found out the product price is about just $435 and most company will charge around $1000 for whole installation project (including a water heater, delivery, install, and haul away the old one). The installation work was only 1 person for about 2 hours. The price was really too high beyond the market price even the work was done on Saturday. If I did the quote with other companies before I signed the contract with them, I would not work with them on this unreasonable price. I would like to give "0" star if I can.

I hired them diagnose an AC issue when they determined to be a bad transformer. They wanted $900 to replace the transformer and charged me $150 for the diagnosis. After two other people looked at the issue it was determined that the issue was not that and the transformer they said was bad was fully functional and for my my door bell, not even the AC. The actual repair cost me 240$ from someone else including their diagnosis. I'm a little disappointed that the confused a doorbell for an ac system and have me a insane price point.
