A-Absolute - Air Conditioning, Plumbing & Heating

Early Monday morning before work I went down to my basement to iron my shirt and I stepped into a puddle of water. My Monday morning started with a broken hot water heater. I called numerous companies, left messages, and the only company to answer and assure me they would have a plumber to my house within 1 hour was A-Absolute plumbing and heating. Within a few hours I had a brand new 50 gallon hot water heater installed as promised. They removed and discarded of the old unit, left the boiler room cleaner then it was before they arrived and handled all the permits and paperwork. Their price was more then reasonable and the quality of work was exceptional. I would highly recommend A-Absolute and will be sure to call them again for any other plumbing and heating needs.

Just bought a home in Union, NJ and had blocked pipes from previous owner not maintaining. The drain in tub, bathroom sink, and kitchen sink were all stopped up. Tried to snake myself to no avail. I called A-Absolute and they sent out a guy who arrived on Sunday morning of Memorial Weekend. He cut the board under my sink and began to unclog. He was courteous and professional. Their prices are reasonable and he was finished within an hour. Incredible service and I will definitely be using them again for HVAC, heating, and plumbing.

Wow. Just, wow.

We had just moved into our home a week prior to this whole ordeal. We were having problems with the basement sink draining and I was horrified to find that it was overflowing uncontrollably one Sunday. I had called my plumber (awesome guy) but he wasn't able to come out. As a first time homeowner I panicked and called these guys, because I had read that they don't charge extra for nights/weekends. Score. I also read that they come out in an hour or less. Double score. The dispatcher guy said they plumbers would be out by 2.

When 2 came rolling around I called again. "Definitely by 3". Long story short, they came around 6. Frustrating. Nice guys though...I showed them the problem and they had the answer, It was my sewer backed up (gag). He said low end was 500, high end was 600 to fix it right then. I wasn't sure if that was good or bad, but what was I supposed to do? I had a sink spewing out poop. I told him to fix it. It took him and his guy about a half hour to fix. They didn't clean up after the job (I don't really blame them, but come on..they left their towels and garbage everywhere). It came to 700$ with the tax.

The following day my plumber came out and said that snaking the sewer should have run no more than 200 and was absolutely flabbergasted over how much they charged...and that they had only done one of the two traps. So i over paid by about 500$. FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS.

I called the place back and spoke to a very rude person who made invalid arguments about how it was more because it was Sunday, and that they are a big company so they charge more than other plumbers. Kinda hurting your business there, huh? The owner was nice though and gave us 10% off, or, their "Senior Citizen" discount. So at the end we were overcharged by only 400.

Way to completely rob a young family the first week in their first house. It's not like we have a 30 year mortgage to pay or anything. Terrible!!!

If I could give negative stars I would. Absolute is a plumbing company and service that I will no longer be using after calling on them for over 20 years now. Within the last 4 months, we’ve had to call them to fix their own mistakes over 10 times and this is due to the fact that they use any independent contractors or installers that they can find off the streets. Not only was I charged repeatedly for the lackluster service, mistakes and incompetence of these contractors and installers but they even sent a staff member back to my home to collect money after their contractor deemed that the work shouldn’t have been charged for in the beginning. My problem with this is, your contractors should not make those decisions without proper knowledge of your policies and procedures. Secondly, it was quite tacky for them to send someone back to my home for the money considering the fact that it was the 6th time we called about an issue that was caused by their inability to install a sink properly. If anything, the contractor should’ve been responsible for the money as he decided to make that decision. In addition, I can’t count the amount of times we called Absolute, took off from work and no one showed up with no phone call or notice that they wouldn’t be coming.
In closing, it pains me to give this kind of review as I don’t often, but we tried to work with the company and after spending thousands and thousands of dollars on everything from having an entire sewer line replaced to having sinks, toilets, pipes, etc., done, we cannot continue to call on Absolute if the work is not getting done correctly. It’s simply bad business.
If you have the option to work with a more efficient, reliable service, please do so.

Had a great experience with Absolute this weekend. I was having a problem in my home, I spoke to Rob from their office on the phone, he was very friendly. They were at my home within the hour and solved the problem. Reasonable price and reliable service. Highly recommend.

Matt from A-Absolute was great! I had an issue with a rock in my sewer line that was causing a backup in my basement. Matt came out same day I called, went through my options and told me he would be back Monday morning to fix it.. Matt showed up promptly and got to work. The job ended up being a bigger job than expected and i know it had to be frustrating to him, but he remained professional and patient wirh me, answered all of my questions, explained what he was doing and why he was having problems, and also allowed me to take pictures along the way. In addition to that.. when he left I could hardly tell so much of my floor had been dug up as he did a great job putting everything back together. He worked hard all day to make sure my issue was completed and fixed before he left, and I am so grateful he was the one to answer my call. A-Absolute you have an amazing employee in Matt and while I hope I don't have any other issues, I will certainly call again if I do. Thanks so much!!!

I had Absolute come out to my home for a hearing problem on New Year’s Day. They had a technician out within 90 minutes, he gave me some options to choose from and helped me understand why he came up with the solutions he did. We decided to replace the furnace and AC. Within 24 hours it was done and we couldn’t be happier. We would recommend them to anyone. Thank you guys for helping us so quickly.

I bought an LG dishwasher from a major appliance store. I paid for installation but when delivery guys dropped off the dishwasher they said they could not install. At the last minute I called A-Absolute Plumbing. They schedule me an appointment for an hour later. Mike D arrived promptly . He removed the old dishwasher and installed the new dishwasher with no issues. The dishwasher works well. A-Absolute Plumbing saved my day! Thank you!!

Had a plumbing semi-emergency and knew that none of our local plumbers would be interested in coming in less than a week. So, I left my address on their webpage and received a prompt call from the company offering to send a plumber right then. I told them that the leak probably wouldn't destroy our house in the next few hours and they could come in the morning. Wallace came in the morning and finished the rather complicated repair efficiently by noon. The price seemed a bit high for a half day's work, so a star off for that, but everything else was good. I suppose you have to pay extra for urgent work, but sometimes that's necessary when you don't have time to wait for the local guys. Would recommend them for emergencies, but because of price, not for anything that isn't urgent.

I had a clogged sewer line. I called Absolute a wonderful person answered the phone. He assured me someone will be there with in the hour. They called less then 20 minute and said there on the way. Teck came and fixed the issue quickly. Guy was neat and professional. Would recommend to everyone. Price was great and I even gave him a tip
