William D. performed our annual heating unit service; he was punctual, professional and thorough in the scheduled maintenance. He also gave a detailed explanation of the service, items to plain for and great recommendations on how to positively maintain our systems.

Excellent service and would highly recommend!

My HVAC gave up during the COVID-19 stay at home situation - one of the worst possible times. It was 28 years old and therefore we took a decision to replace instead of repair. My neighbors had used and recommended Princeton Air, so I researched about them and started my discussions early June. Jim Ghrist is one of the best salespersons to speak with. He was comforting, took time to listen to me (very important) and answer my numerous questions however naive they were. One of the reasons why I went with Princeton Air was the genuineness Jim showed. He spoke on facts instead of just the sales pitch. Must mention, he was kind enough to loan couple of window ac units to survive the heat wave, while we discussed the project details.

We went for the best in class Trane equipment (modulating). The project included Home Performance improvement project in collaboration with B&E Energy Solutions team. The new high-efficiency system needed new flu/vents to be installed. We also did a new high efficiency water heater. So, this was a major home improvement project that spanned over several days, due to the amount of work and a very busy season for HVAC technicians.

Princeton Air technicians are professionals who know their work very well. They came prepared with Masks, and covered the floor to protect the house from damage. Their work was clean and the installation was done as per standards. In particular Carl Jackson is one of the best plumbers I have come across. Looking at his work on water heater installation, I gave additional contracts to Princeton Air, to fix some of my other plumbing issues related to Sump Pump, water supply valve replacement, fridge supply line repairs and anti-freeze spigot installations for outdoor. Carl is extremely knowledgeable and neat with his work. He is innovative, knows the code and worth every penny that is paid for his services. For any plumbing needs I would recommend Princeton Air, just because they have Carl.

I was also impressed with Tyrael Mosley, who would never give up until a problem is found and fixed, no matter how much time it took. And the technicians are punctual, have good work ethics and leave the work area clean, when they leave.

Princeton Air customer service is good. Our interactions were mostly over email, and I spoke with Justina. She is very responsive. A good thing is that they listen to you and try their best to address each and every concern you may have. I recommend anyone looking for HVAC work to try Princeton Air. Any contractor is bound to have a mixed bag of people. You should do your home-work, ask questions, communicate a lot and let them be your partner - I believe they will not disappoint.

Aaron arrived on time. He was courteous, professional and knowledgeable. Aaron is friendly without being unprofessional. He is the perfect representative for Princeton Air. Would use him anytime we need service.

As a customer of this company for many years I was surprised to see that my expected filter was not supplied by the company as per my maintenance plan agreement.

Below is a previous review.
I phoned Princeton Air on Monday about a problem with my thermostat, and resulting failure of the AC system. It did not surprise me the first available time slot would not be available until Wednesday afternoon, as it was 90+ degrees outside during the day.
The positives: I was told clearly on the phone when to expect the technician, and how much the service call would cost ($95 plus tax). The person on the phone listened to the problem, and gave me clear information. (She offered to send my call to something called the Princeton Air Club, which, for an annual membership fee, would cut the cost of the service charge to $65, and promised service within 24 hrs. I declined that offer.) The technician arrived around 1pm on Wednesday, well within the 12-4 timeframe. He was friendly and knowledgeable, listened to the issue, and found the problem (a clogged condensate discharge trap, causing a safety switch to trip repeatedly). He was here about 30 minutes or so, and explained the nature of the solution clearly, and fixed the problem. The total was $165.
The negative: The person I spoke with on the phone said something like "I think I know what the problem is, but we'll send someone out". If that was true, and the solution was a simple as this turned out to be, I wish she'd told me her thoughts and potentially saved me the fee. I get that a business has to have income, but given that I paid tens of thousands of dollars to Princeton Air to install this system, I would have appreciated a chance to save money. Something like "there's a drain trap on the back - see if it's clogged. If it is, clear that and see if that solves the problem. If not, we'll send someone out" could have really helped. In the end, the service was friendly and professional, the information on the phone accurate, and the problem was solved.

Dan was very patient and knowledgeable in responding to all of my questions. He came very close to earning my business (the company I’m going with was able to replace my system immediately, which I needed as my situation is urgent). Dan was courteous and flexible, and offered a great financing plan that was hard to turn down! I highly recommend Princeton Air if you’re looking for efficient, accommodating service!

Placed a call to Princeton Air for service on my residential central air conditioning system that they had installed a few years ago which was still under warranty. Despite this being a very busy time in the season they had a tech (Alberto) here in a few hours on the same day who quickly diagnosed the issue as a failed capacitor, replaced it, and got my system up and running again. High marks for responsiveness, work quality, and quick problem resolution. Much appreciated.

At about 7 P.M. on Saturday, January 22nd, (2022) we noticed that the heating in our home in Princeton Junction, New Jersey was totally off. This was very unexpected since our system had been running smoothly and a technician from Princeton Air had examined the system as part of a routine "check-up" 3 days earlier. "No problems," he reported.
My wife called Princeton Air on Sunday morning around 8 and got someone from the company's answering service. They assured my wife that they'd let officials at Princeton Air know about the heating problem in our home. No response from Princeton Air... My wife called again around 10:30 A.M. Same response from the answering service, same non-response from Princeton Air. In fact, we never got a call back all-day Sunday.
The temperature outside on both Saturday night and Sunday was mainly in the 20s and low 30s and the temperature in our home plummeted to about 50 degrees. I'm a recent cardiac arrest survivor and this whole thing was very difficult for me.
I called Princeton Air on Monday morning and a technician arrived at our home around 3 P.M. and replaced a ($500) part within our heating system. He said that the part wasn't broken when the first technician came earlier that week. Coincidences are possible, I guess.
The Princeton Air web page advertises a "We Will Be There Guarantee" as well as "24 Hr Emergency Service." Neither of these claims appear to be valid. We will cancel our contract with Princeton Air later this week and caution other customers or potential customers about the company's false claims.

We had a sudden failure of our whole-house AC compressor Friday evening, which we didn't discover till Saturday morning. The 3-month-old system was under warranty, but the installer couldn't provide any assistance until Monday afternoon. Because we still have a maintenance contract with Princeton Air, we called them next. They were able to provide a technician within a few hours who not only diagnosed the problem (wiring short circuit), but was able to repair (rewire) it as well, within 30 minutes. We had to pay for the visit & repair work, but the AC is working again during the hottest, most humid summer in the 30 years we have lived here!
