First Choice Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning

It’s not often that I leave reviews on Google for anybody, let alone services rendered.

That said, to describe myself as “satisfied” following the services I received today from First Choice would be a terrible understatement. Not only was their representative and repair guru, Angel Garcia, on time for the fix, he was everything you could ever hope for or dream of in a service rep, plus more.
He was friendly, courteous, professional, thorough, not to mention exacting in detail, and explanatory of his process.

We initially believed our A/C unit might need a coolant boost, but within a few moments of arriving, Mr. Garcia not only eagle-eyed some significant wiring damage (damn rodents - invest in steel wool, people!) but a potentially hazardous sparking issue with the connectors on its hard start kit.

Throughout, Mr. Garcia explained every step of the repairs, patiently answered all our questions while working, yet was good-humored and utterly committed to perfection right up to completion.

Not only will I and my family be returning to First Choice for our future HVAC service calls, I will specifically request the expertise and personage of Mr. Garcia, who went above and beyond for us in every sense of the word. I cannot recommend him or the business of First Choice more highly, and encourage anyone reading this to seek them out if things should start to swelter in the coming days and weeks (and let’s face it folks: this is Jersey, so you know it’s gettin’ sweaty).

As for Mr. Garcia… what more can I say? He truly lives up to his first name.

I had Joseph lacle the representative of first choice and in my opinion a true gentleman! Smart dedicated to his job and honest. I didn’t buy the first visit he had came over but the reason I went with first choice is because of Joseph no pressure sales and figured out while I was purchasing ac from him why my boiler was not working I have had multiple techs here and they couldn’t figure it out but Joseph did. Thank you Joseph and first choice!

When we purchased out home in Edison in 2019 it didn’t take long for out furnace to die in the dead of winter. First Choice within days had us back up and running with a combi unit. The field personnel are always top notch, professional, more than happy to answer questions, I honestly can’t say enough about anyone I’ve dealt with in my home. Recently we had a water softener and filter system installed, Joe Icale set us up with a top notch system that really meets our needs when dealing with jerseys hard water issues. Again the level of craftsmanship and professionalism was bar none and we couldn’t be happier. Thank you Joe and First Choice

Called for an estimate on replacing the valve in my basement. Matt came out and was very professional nice and courteous. He changed the valve in the basement and the outdoor valve as well in a matter of minutes. First choice has great employees with unmatched skill. I’ve used them for an AC replacement and will continue to use them for their unsurpassed professionalism and work quality. Thanks First Choice!!

Today Bruno came and gave our 16 year old central air system a good check up. He was very thorough in all his checks and even showed us what our system was doing when in operation. He put our concerns at ease and made sure our ac system is ready for the heat waves in the coming months. He was very knowledgeable in all aspects of the job, we were very impressed overall. We would definitely use them again for any maintenance or repairs for our ac system.

Upon arriving at your home, Steve from First Choice assessed the situation quickly and accurately, and he provided a clear and transparent estimate of the cost of the repair. He then went to work with skill and precision, carefully diagnosing the issue and applying the necessary fixes.

He was courteous, efficient, and knowledgeable, and he maintained a clean and organized workspace throughout the process. I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of plumbing services.

It was a pleasure to have the technician Matt work on the repair of water valves & shutoffs in my basement. I talked a bit with Matt as he worked and I liked that he was open to discussing techniques and the latest equipment as I sometimes like to watch and learn from professionals. Last summer First Choice upgraded our Central AC. Both jobs were done with superb quality and professionalism. I'm very happy with them..

I am extremely happy with the service I received. They exceeded my expectations. From the day I met Joe, through the completion of the work, everyone at First Choice was great to work with. They were accommodating, responsive, professional and effective. Most importantly, the work was completed in a high-quality manner.

Angel from First choice was very informative and helpful. He came to the job site, got his tools and started the inspection and tune up process for my unit. Alex Gonzalez from First Choice Plumbing, Heating, & Cooling is an amazing technician. He came over to perform a regularly scheduled maintenance of my AC last week and while cleaning the unit he noticed that I had a small gas leak on the outside of my house. It's only thanks to his attention to detail and safety that the gas leak was identified and later resolved by the gas company.
