Honestly, I can’t say enough about how great an experience I had with Proactive Comfort. From the beginning, they returned my call quickly to set up an appointment. Sent me an email confirmation, sent email when technician was on his way. In fact the technician called me when he was a few minutes away. Once here, Luke was polite, informative and answered all my questions. We just moved into this house and have needed more repairs then we anticipated and this by far was one of the best experiences!

Had a great experience with Proactive! I needed to get a quote for servicing and repairing my boiler ASAP in response to a home inspection report from the folks buying our house. Not only were Proactive the only business willing to give me a general quote over the phone, they reached out to me after hours that same night with a more specific quote after checking with one of their technicians AND they were able to come out and look at it the very next day. Thank you to Emily for being so proactive in helping us!

The technician Bill was great. He explained everything clearly and made sure I knew what I was signing on for and where he could potentially save me money. In the end, Bill was able to save us over $450 by doing some preventative maintenance and got our boiler in tip-top shape for our buyers. I appreciated his patient explanation of all the work he did and his tolerance for our barky German Shepherd! Thank you Bill!

I had had 6 other firms in to look at my issue. They replaced parts, charged me a lot of money, didn't fix the issue and had no followup.

Bill from Proactive was very well versed in the diagnosing and repair units, and within 30 minutes accurately diagnosed the issue. Bill is an EXPERT with these units. He was prompt, professional, courteous and made sure I understood everything about the service call before he left. He said someone would follow up with me, and the next day I received a follow up call.

Proactive uses an automated system that texts you about 30-45 minutes before your appointment to let you know they are on their way.

I was very nervous about trying this company because of past experiences with other contractors but much to my amazement they were absolutely wonderful. Bill our service tech was very friendly, helpful, and professional. He did an excellent job with resolving the problem. He was on time, courteous, and very knowledgeable of his craft. Let me start by saying we don't normally leave reviews, but this experience was wonderful. This was our first time booking Proactive Comfort. We had not serviced our boiler since 2015 (I'm well aware of just how big a mistake skipping years is now) and were nervous about finding a dedicated business with honest, highly-skilled professionals. I called Proactive Comfort based on the reviews I found here and on Google and can tell you that based on our experience, we feel the near-five-star rating this business has earned is legitimate and accurate. We received updates the day before and the day of the scheduled service, via text message. I always appreciate these confirmations beforehand since I may forget things quite often, but the convenience of not needing to talk to anyone to confirm the appointment is excellent for those with busy lifestyles. Bill arrived right on time, with all the parts and tools he would need and then some! He was very pleasant, professional and clearly knowledgeable about our boiler system. We found several unexpected problems that needed to be corrected and some that didn't warrant any attention yet, but might in the near future. Bill was very up-front with all the costs and did not start work until he had performed an inspection to assess the state of the boiler. He went over the different courses of action we could take and presented multiple options with accurate cost totals and was not pushy at all. I did not feel once that I was being taken advantage of or that anything like that. Bill found issues that previous professionals from other businesses had failed to identify. For instance, the relief valve was actually installed upside down and someone had installed a valve rated for gas on our water line! We will be returning to Proactive Comfort for our next scheduled maintenance as well as problems that may come up before then!

Bill was very professional - he completed the annual tune-up in a timely manner, was on time for the appointment and updated me on the status of our furnace.

I also appreciate his proactively offering the annual service plan for the furnace and air conditioning unit, which we gladly accepted. He also answered questions I had about the electronics asssociated with our unit and how they might be impacted by a generator.

This was a great experience and we look forward to working with Proactive Comfort moving forward.

Derek was right on time and very professional and polite.

I explained our R/O faucet problem as well as a regular faucet issue and he took care of both problems quickly.

Although I have no problem with Derek’s work I do think that being charged a ‘dispatch fee’ of $50 in addition to the hourly rate is excessive.

Why is there an extra fee charged to get the technician to come to do the work? How else do you get the work scheduled?

We probably will not use this company again because of that fee despite the good repair work that was done.
