Hawthorne Plumbing, Heating & Cooling - Reno

We were very happy with the service we received. They arrived in the time frame they said they would and worked long after dark in the very cold temps to complete the job of installing a new sump pump which will be tested this week with the new storm. I recommended Benjamin Franklin to our neighbor who also had water problems.

I had a problem with my furnace, I called Hawthorne plumbing to have it fixed. The technician Anthony said it was a PVC pipe clogged. He fixed it but wrong because it broke, and started to leak through my ceiling. Another technician from Hawthorne plumbing admitted it was done wrong when he came to check my water heater. I called Hawthorne plumbing to come to check it out. They sent a technician named Shane who told me there was nothing he can do, so he left the PVC pipe broke with no solution to fix it. The AC drip pan was not leaking before the first technician so called fixed it, then after he left it dropped water through my ceiling. They say if it isn't fixed the first time, it's free. Well will see because it wasn't fixed, they cause more of a problem. I suggest another company to fix your plumbing/air conditioning and heating needs. I paid for a check up service, but after their technician told me there's nothing they can do, what good is this company when another company has to fix their broken pipe and AC drip pan.

Nick, the technician, came all the way from Reno, NV to Elk Grove, CA to work on my water heater which is still under warranty. It did not take him long to fix the problem then he conducted an throughout inspection on the unit especially the crucial parts like the pressure tank and the anode rod. At the end, I was given to understand that Nick drove hundreds of miles just to work on my unit and would head back to Reno afterwards. Thank you Hawthorne for honoring your promise (warranty).

The service call from Hawthorne was great. The technician, Nick, was knowledgeable and professional. While checking out the reason for the initial call, he found our water heater was in dire need of maintenance. This was not an upsell of any kind....it truly was in bad shape. He informed us every step of the way what he was doing and showed us the areas which required attention. Now how water heater's life has been extended for several years at least! We had to call back because residual sediment flowing thru the fixtures had plugged the kitchen faucet. Embarrassing enough, we couldn't figure how to dismantle the faucet to clean it. Nick came back and happily showed us how to fix. I would recommend Hawthorne PHC without hesitation.

The drain works good now but the receptionist didn't say the technician was coming from Reno or that the company was based in Reno. The receptionist said the cost was $59.00 they were running special rate for pipe cleaning. When the plumber came he said the cost would be $194.00. I feel the high cost was because the technician came from Reno. It was a two step process .... water vacuuming the sink and pipes to clean up the backed up water and snaking the drain pipe about a one hour job from setting up the equipment and packing it back in the truck.

I had a tech named jay, he was amazing! He had a great way to lay all the information out in layman’s terms. Great guy, 5/5 job👍🏽

Incredible experience! They responded same day as call, communicated on arrival time, quickly diagnosed the problem and completed the repair. I highly recommend Hawthorn Plumbing!

They're definitely a little on the pricey side. My window of the tech arriving was 5-7pm and he didn't arrive until after 7:30 but once he arrived he worked quickly and was very professional. I will recommend them to friends.

Robert came out the same day as I called for an estimate to install an utility sink. He was right on time and very thorough in his explanation of how the work would be done. He prepared the quote, which was very reasonable, on the spot and that was very helpful to us to make a decision.

The technician, Nick, was great. Because of the nature of the work, all his work was exposed and it looked great when completed. He communicated well with us, he was friendly and professional. His bid price for the work was the lowest, but the quality of his work was very high.
