Residential Heating and Cooling came to install a new furnace and thermostat. They came on time and got done in about 2 hours, which was much quicker than I expected.
Jon from Residential Heating and Cooling did a great job while at my home. He arrived on time, quickly identified the problem, provided a couple of options, and corrected the system. This is the second time using Residential and they are great. Eric the owner is fantastic and pragmatic when looking at repairs. I am a big fan of their professionalism and honesty. Our A/C went out this evening. I googled HVAC in Schaumburg and chose Residential Heating and Cooling because they are local and NOT a big chain. They are a smaller company, which is what I wanted.
I called about 8:20 pm and talked to the owner, Eric. He was super kind and told me about his business and advised he could obviously help me out.
I explained to him how my system stopped working and what it was doing. He asked if I would like someone to come out tonight or tomorrow. I said tonight would be great as it was still 92 outside!
He said that should not be a problem. He said he was going to reach out to his tech Jon, and find out when he could be at my house. Eric called me back within 5 minutes and said Jon will be out within an hour.
Jon was at my house shortly after 9pm! Super nice guy and very knowledgeable. He diagnosed the problem, replaced the bad part and had my system running again by 9:45! I was blown away!
Needless to say, I have found an HVAC company that I am very satisfied with and will be using them for any future HVAC issues I have! Thank you Residential Heating and Cooling for getting up and going in a hurry!!

We had our A/C system tune up done today. Jon was the tech that came out. Residential Heating and Cooling notified me earlier today and asked if I would like to schedule that appointment. They had openings today and tomorrow.
I chose today. Jon was prompt and arrived at 2:15. My window was from 2-4. Jon said everything checked out. Nothing needed at this time. Great service!!!

We had our furnace tune up done this morning. Our tech was Steve. He was amazingly thorough. He explained everything he was going to do, check and clean to make sure everything is working as it should. After he finished, he took the time and explained everything he did, even provided photos and explained each photo and what was being checked.
Our furnace received a clean bill of health. All good at this time. I am very happy I have found Residential Heating and Cooling for my HVAC needs, Very satisfied!!
We purchased our home in December only to have issues with our furnace a week after moving in. After the first repair from Residential (and the recommendation to replace the furnace) we had our heat go out again in January. Both times the service we received was above and beyond.
My first call was at 7am-before they technically opened-and the second time in January was at 12:30am. Both times Eric answered and was calm, kind and reassuring. He moved around schedules so we could be the first appointment of the day since he knew we had two little kids and no heat.
Each of the service technicians that visited our house were knowledgeable and friendly, always ensuring our questions were answered before they left. I never felt like I was receiving a sales pitch from anyone. They just came today to install a new furnace and the whole experience was great.
11.19.20, Met Alex Krupp today who came to service my furnace. He was very responsible and respectful of my need for Covid protection. Listened intently to my concerns and he LOVED my cat. She loved him as well! 11.7.19. Met Michael Flannigan today when he came to service my furnace. I still use the maintenance plan that Residential offers. In conversation, Michael reminded me that I need CO2 detectors. Ask him about his cat "Squirrel". You will be going to get a new detector as well! Residential HVAC, always and still professional, courteous, and friendly and eager to answer all your questions about HVAC.
I have used Residential for two years now since finding them in Angies List. I asked them to inspect my furnace after moving into our new home. Signed up for the spring and fall service. They send me reminders, which i need, and each service person who has come over has been courteous, thorough and eager to answer all my questions. (Even if I asked them the same questions last time!) I met John for the first time today and he taught me a few things about my furnace to keep it running smooth and how to help get them information for quick diagnosis and perhaps to save myself a service fee! Thanks Residential team and keep up the good work.
First thing this morning at 8am, I called for service with Residential Heating and Cooling and spoke with Kendall. Kendall was very helpful and answered all of my questions patiently and professionally. She also sent us a link to connect the thermostat to Alexa. The window for repair was scheduled for 1-3 pm and the installation was actually completed during that window. Jonathan was the responding technician, and he was very polite, professional, and knowledgable. He informed us that it wasn't the furnace that was the issue but the thermostat. During the installation, Jonathan thoroughly explained the new thermostat and was able to connect the thermostat to the iPhone app for me. We appreciate the timely and effective service and will continue to use this company in the future for heating and A/C needs.
