We were lucky enough to find Windy City Mechanical through a referral from a friend. I spoke with Tom who was very knowledgeable about mini split air conditioning. He spent time explaining their functions and giving us an estimate. We contacted Tom and he and his team came out and did the nearest installation job. When the installation was completed there was absolutely no mess and we received a tutorial on the unit. The process was completely streamlined and exactly what we wanted. Great company!

This is a great company. They were all courteous and kind. Extremely helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Ken came in and gave us a great offer explained everything that we needed to replace our AC and furnace. The day of install also went perfectly smooth. We are now enjoying wonderful AC and I’m sure will have no problem in the winter with our heat. This is the fourth time that they have come out to do work for someone in my family. My first time but they also helped my parents and grandparents. This is the only company I would ever trust doing AC and heating work for me and my family.They have the best customer service that I have seen from any company in all my years.

I was referred to Windy City Mechanical from another plumber as our issue was beyond his scope. We had a leak from a 2" galvanized pipe that was connected to our boiler and located in a soffit. Tom came out to assess the issue, walked us through all the options, and scheduled the repair for two days later. The leak turned into a spray and Tom came out first thing the next morning to temporarily repair. The next day, he came back with Dennis and they did a great job–they were tidy, the work was very clean (they had to remove drywall and they made the smallest cuts possible and there were no signs of debris), and they were exceptionally professional. Will definitely use them again–really, they were great and their pricing was completely fair.

Windy City personnel installed a new furnace and air conditioner in our home. They were courteous, knowledgeable, and finished in good time. I’m very pleased with their service. Installation space was limited and they were able to recommend a quality furnace to fit. They cleaned up after installation, Removed the old appliances and went over operating instructions. Most recently Tom and his team replaced our aging air conditioning system with a modern, energy efficient system. They even replaced and insulated some substandard condensate piping, not included in the original quote, at no extra charge.

They arrived on time and completed the work in one day. Given the late season installation, he agreed to extend the labor warranty (the equipment has a ten year parts warranty).

Windy City’s rates are very reasonable and we’ve never had a surprise or unexpected expense with them.

Windy City Mechanical installed central air in the new house I bought. They were super responsive to calls and answered questions throughly and clearly. The quote was good, they gave me three options and not just one. The install was pretty quick, more like a half day job when they initially said it was going to take one day. After install, they went through the thermostat and showed me everything they did during set up.
