I'm really disappointed in them. I used them to install several systems in my investment properties. I didn't have any complaints about them on the install side. ($$sales$$) However, one of the systems they installed crapped out on me after just 3.5 years. Cost me over a thousand dollars to fix it. And that was WITH the parts warranty. The service tech was defensive and wouldn't answer my questions. I really just wanted to understand, but he got mad at me for asking... can the coil be repaired instead of replaced? where is it leaking? if you don't know where it's leaking, how do you know it's leaking? How much is it leaking? All these are viable questions. Then I called Gail in Service. Good Lord. She gave me a good kick in the teeth in exchange for all my money and past loyalty. I was desperate to please my tenants and get someone out there ASAP. I was already too deep in the cycle to cancel. Otherwise, I'd have called Terry at Lloyds who I used to use before my partner insisted on using Burgess cause they were his good old boy buddies. My tenant won't use them in their new home and I certainly won't use them again.
I had an excellent experience with Burgess. I scheduled my annual maintenance and Dallas was polite and experienced. He explained everything to me in a way I could understand. Dallas was careful in my home and considerate of my cat.
I have used Burgess twice for service calls. I have been very happy with their service. They are always quick to respond. I would recommend them to anyone. They are very thorough and honest.
Burgess Air installed my air conditioning unit in September 2014. I paid over $8,000. At the time, I was told my duct work was in good condition and did not need to be replaced. Since then, they have been to my house on 5 occasions for various repairs. My electric bill is over $500 a month. Each technician that went into the attic has told me my duct work is inefficient and it would greatly reduce my electric bill and balance the airflow in my home if the ductwork was redone. I started calling the office to get the work done in February.
Finally in June, I reached a person who set up an appointment saying they could come Friday and schedule the work for Monday. The technician arrived but said he was not the right person to re-design the ductwork. He would return to the office and have Matt the installation manager and/or Chuck review the video he took and call me back on Friday. He then charged me $99 for inspecting the ductwork, not the service I scheduled. I called the office on Monday and Tuesday leaving messages that I was waiting for a call back. My third call, I was told I could leave another voicemail. I said no thank you, the company either wanted my business or not. Later on Tuesday afternoon I got a voicemail from Gail telling me they don't do extensive ductwork as needed for my home. I should call TECO.
Highly disappointed. The units are less than 4 years old and Burgess did the installation. They should be more responsive in servicing after the sale. If you can get the right technician to your home, I found the technicians do provide good service. I'm further disappointed that after telling me that the $99 would be applied to the bill to complete the work or the check would be destroyed, they cashed the check.
To make this right, Burgess should return my $99 and provide me with a phone number to reach someone who can balance my system.
Our Daikon unit suddenly didn’t work at night. Called next morning and got service for later in afternoon. When repair person here, unit decided to work! He fixed the noisy fan in house unit but couldn’t find anything amiss otherwise. We weren’t charged!! We’ve used Burgess for maintenance and new units since 2005.
Burgess Heating and Air is the BEST...High Quality work and Fast Service..we highly recommend them!! Our new A/C has cut our electric bill in half..Kirk Marscher did a Fantastic Job...he was very professional and informative!! Thank you Burgess Heating and Air!!

Excellent job. Brandon A was well informed and efficient. Solid diagnosis. This was a second opinion call and he had a practical solution to the real problem. The other firm said it was a total replacement and took no effort to do proper diagnostic work. .
