We have a leak in the ductwork in our garage that sits above the washing machine. In order to do the $400 repair that we want to do, Burgess told me I have to pay an appliance person to come out, disconnect our washing machine, move it out so they could have better access to the duct. Then I have to have the appliance person come back and hook everything back up again and put it back after Burgess is done. I was surprised that they offered no other alternatives for repair or some creative ideas on how to fix. Their option of calling someone else out does not seem reasonable and certainly not cost effective for me. After all the good reviews, I was disappointed that Burgess would not help us with our repair.
Burgess Heating & Air installed our new AC unit today. We greatly appreciated how timely everything was since our AC unit went out last Tuesday (we've had some cooler days so it's been ok). We really like John our sales rep and the price was exactly what we were expecting (we did get a second quote that was $2K more from a company that Costco uses). Chuck and Kevin did the install and were here first thing this morning. They worked very hard without breaks. We're extremely happy. Thank you so much!
We were a customer for over 30 years and have spent 10's of thousands of Dollars with Burgess. Never one time have we ever questioned anything until recently. We had called for a yearly maintenance which was quoted at $79.00. When Dominic , their technician, came out he performed the service, while he was here he told me I should have a Level 10 service performed, he indicated it was 249.00 but that they would deduct my initial charge. I was suppose to wait for them to call me to reschedule. They never called, so I did. When on the phone I told them that I wanted the Level 10 service and it was my understanding that the previous charge would be deducted. They sent out Dominic who performed the Level 10 but unbeknownst to me he did, without my approval an additional service that I had specifically declined on the first visit . I was emphatic that I was prepared to pay the 170.00 but did not want the extra 230.00 service. When it came time to pay the invoice he presented a invoice for $373.00 and I asked if he remembered the conversation from when he "sold" me the Level 10.... ( there was a 16 day gap). He readjusted the invoice to reflect the misunderstanding on his part. About 15 minutes after Dominic left the service supervisor called and started the call somewhat aggressively and she wanted to let me know that Dominic spent lots of time there and he performed the service. I took her through the whole situation and had both witness's and paperwork to show that what I was saying was correct. She was not having any of it and was less than pleasant which boarded on being nasty. She would not admit that a mistake had happened and that we should try and work something out. It was her way or the highway and after I asked to speak to supervisor she refused and said that HE directed her to let me know if I didn't pay that they were not ever going to come out if I had an emergency. In effect, they were firing me. Having come from a business that required give and take I would have worked out something mutually beneficial to both parties. I would have agreed to pay half the cost of the technician time he spent above and beyond the level 10 service, but her attitude was you pay what we want and that's the end of conversation. I was polite and terminated the call. In conclusion, it felt like a bait and switch had taken place along with pretty poor customer service. I see that the owner, or his delegate, always respond to negative reviews, there are both witness's to what I said and I have the original paperwork and I would be willing to talk to him. If he calls I'll have a surprise for him.
We've been using Burgess for several years. They have installed a new system as well as annual cleanings ever year and repairs with other system. Each visit has been a positive experience and their technicians have been professional and knowledgeable. Their rates are competitive. Highly recommend.

Their service tech was very knowledgeable & explained the entire process of his yearly heating & air conditioning check. He returned to clean the blower & coil. He was extremely efficient in every way. We highly recommend this business.
We had a warranty on our A/C unit and they were slow with service and left us in the heat for weeks. We called Burgess for a second opinion and they were able to fix the repair next day for significantly less money than the other company. Fantastic customer service and very clean and reliable repair people
Great service! We were without AC and they came same day to get a quote. Price was competitive and they were able to hook up an outside loaner unit so we had air that day! Install team was prompt and did a great job even though the previous home owner had done some creative wiring they were able to get it going. Thanks again!
