They came to my house 2 times and gave wrong advice. Tried to charge me for things i did not need. I refused payment and cancelled the contract immediately. Found someone else. Their customer service is awful and gave wrong information multiple times. Unfortunate experience for me.
First and foremost: Jorge was prompt in all his communication. He notified me when he was on his way to our appointment. He was prompt. He offered his initial analysis of the problem and potential fix. He was open and explained what the final determination was, and how it would be fixed (and it turned out to be a "smaller" problem and a less expensive fix). When he completed the repair, he sent pictures of the before and after. He stayed to ensure everything was working -- two days later, everything is working fine! **** We had been out of state when the above happened. Upon returning, my opinion changed! The hardwood floor was really messed up - AA Temp suggested Jorge didn't do it, someone else had to have done it (not!), even though the floor was badly scratched directly in front of the A/C access door! I complained about the exorbitant cost, but was informed that $800 is normal for replacing the fan motor! I have asked for a copy of the invoice - which I have never seen (they simply charged my credit card) -- to date, I still have not seen an invoice. I would give AA Temp a NO Star rating at this point.
AA Temperature Services came out today for the regular 6 month maintenance visit, per my contract. A definite 5 star review goes to my tech, John Demartino. He was personable, polite, knowledgeable and efficient. He explained everything he was doing, and also installed a UV light (for my allergies). As for the AA management/office staff....not so much. I scheduled this appointment 6 months ago, immediately after the last visit. My appointed time slot was 7:00-9:00 a.m. At 10:30 a.m. I called the office and, since he was late, asked what time the tech might be here. I was told I wasn't even ON the schedule, even though I received a text the day before telling me a tech would be out the next day(???) but they would see who was in my area and have someone come out between 12:00-2:00. Several "someones" apparently dropped the ball. Raises my concerns about organizational skills and oversight. I'm leaving a 5 star review for John's sake so the poor performance of the office staff does not reflect badly upon his professionalism.
The unit was not cooling consistently. Andy arrived in less than 24 hours, discovered what the problem was and fixed it. He also did necessary cleaning and maintenance. Very satisfied and can highly recommend this company.
Excellent and affordable company. John Demartino was my service tech and he was great. Cleaned my interior A/C coils and installed a U.V. light. Dee who answers the calls in the office is also great. I called 5 other companies and so happy I picked the right one!
We arrived at our Florida home and the ac wasn’t putting out enough cold air. We found this company in an old phone book and called. We were lucky to hear a tech was in our area. Within a half hour, the tech came and replaced our thermostat. He actually sold us a new unit because the unit we have is a dinosaur. Andrew was quite knowledgeable and a real people person. Thanks
John was awesome quickly diagnosed my problem and performed the repair quickly , during a tropical storm ! If you get John as your tech trust me , he will do a fantastic job !
After about 5 service calls, we got another competent tech from AA Temp. I was sent an email saying that the tech would get a bonus for any 5 star ratings and "If you were fully satisfied with your service, please let others know about your positive experience by leaving us a 5-star review here" - the "here" is a link to G & R Heating and Air, which is the same company. The tech was great, but I don't appreciate these customer service rating games that are so common now. The fact is I CANNOT RECOMMEND AA Temp Services. They did the AC for my whole condo community, Bay Street Condos in Osprey, FL. The units appear to be poorly designed to fit the buildings. My initial request to rebalance the AC was dismissed by a senior tech (Frank?), resulting in over a year of problems chasing a solution, which even the owner made worse by not fully taking the issue seriously. I finally had the AC system balanced correctly after months of testing (for mold/mildew, the building envelope, temp and airflow readings), by having another company provide an independent evaluation and solution at the behest of our condo builders. To be clear, all AA Temp had to do was take our initial concern seriously and it would have saved over a year of hassles, several service calls, thousands of dollars (mostly under warranty), and discarded personal property that was damaged by the humidity. I may continue to use AA Temp because they installed almost all of our equipment and all of our neighbor's, and they are starting to learn how to address the deficiencies of their initial installs, and our basic system is OK enough. But since they are playing review games (like many companies, to be fair), and I wanted to credit one of their competent techs, I need to balance the 5 star review I gave him with a poor review for the company as a whole. I understand there have been some transitions at the top, so hopefully future service can be more in line with what I've seen from the two competent but more junior techs I've had the pleasure of working with.
