Frank Gay Residential Services

I rarely write reviews. However, my experience with Frank Gay was one for the books. We called them out to service an AC system at our property. To replace a capacitor and add some refrigerant resulted in a charge of over $800. I was shocked at the price, but as many, I needed my AC working.

Furthermore, the tech continued to try to sell me a service plan multiple times from the minute we engaged with them. I had never experienced such a sales heavy trade in the past.

Not 45 minutes later, my AC system shuts off and wont come on again. I call the tech and they come back out at the end of the day to look at the system. They proceed to tell me that the ENTIRE system needs to be replaced and that will cost in the realm of $10-$15,000 for a 2.5ton system!

All I could do is laugh and tell them to leave. Needless to say I found another local reputable company that put a new system in for me the next day for $5,000.

So a word to all out there, BEWARE disappointing service and an extremely exorbitant pricing. I plan to share this feedback across my community as I learned the hardway paying $800 for 45 minutes of use from my "fixed AC" by FRANK GAY.

I Called Frank Gay services for an ac issue , Hunter, ac technician did a great job at identifying the problem. Super helpful, super friendly cares about quality and peace of mind. S/o Hunter, definitely recommend their services.

The AC team did a great job! Met with Glenn Monday night, which ran to almost 10 pm. Install crew was here first thing Tuesday Morning to install our new air handler and compressor. Knocked the whole thing out before lunch, and I was back to cool air on the second floor of my home. Great job done by all!

Cameron was fantastic in diagnosing and resolving toilet valve issues in 3 toilets. He thoroughly explained the issues and ways to detect future issues. I could not recommend Cameron and Frank Gay enough for any plumbing service.

This has to be the most incompetent company I have ever hired.
They installed the wrong A/C unit in my home (not the one I paid for) the one they installed was "accidently" swapped with another smaller unit that was in their truck. While they were here they also broke my garage door by forcing it open.
3 months later and we have the correct unit installed requiring another day called off work. The installer ruined the paint in my living room that I just paid to be professionally done and did not turn the breaker back on to my garage where my freezer full of hundreds of dollars of food sat turned off and spoiled everything (this breaker didn't even need to be turned off on top of that)
and now they are calling me again to tell me I have to call of work again for a city inspection within the next 3 weeks because they did not need to file a new permit to do the new install since they were installing the unit they pulled permits for 3 months ago and it will expire at the end of June so I get to be inconvenienced further thanks their incompetence. Oh I also used them for a plumbing service prior to me knowing they screwed up my AC and they told me nothing was wrong and everything was in good working order with my toilets...3 days later and my main line was completely blocked and had to pay an emergency fee for that to be fixed. I will never use this company for anything and would not recommend anyone else do either. why take the chance? there's plenty of other companies in central Florida.

Tim was super friendly, professional, and communicative! He was straightforward about the issues he found and provided quick solutions. I would definitely hire him again and would recommend this company to others.

We were HIGHLY IMPRESSED with JOSH GLENN!! HE IS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND VERY RESPECTFUL.... SHOWED UP RIGHT ON TIME AND RIGHT TO WORK TO FIX THE LEAK WE HAD OUTSIDE.... They fixed the issue - but never told me how much I was going to be charged and because they had my Credit Card on file, they charged whatever dollar amount they wanted and added all these "miscellaneous fees". They only serviced our location for not even 1 full hour and charged us for 4 hours of work. Use a different company or make sure you have in writing how much the cost will be. I will never use them again. Unprofessional. Called and emailed multiple times and still am to dispute the price, and they claim their time and work was justified, but we never agreed to it or gave them acknowledgement or were made aware of cost.

We called for a leaky faucet in the kitchen in August. Asked the tech to look at a shower head that might have needed a new gasket and a plumbing flusher that didn’t engage well. The tech took 15 minutes to address those issues and charged over 200 per “job.” Took more time to diagnose the faucet and quoted a 350 dollar repair to replace a component. Tech said the part would be ordered and job completed when it arrived. In September we got an email stating it would be there the following week. It still has not been repaired in February which is 6 months after the original service took place.

Their pricing is not forthright from the techs. Their customer service does not follow up. We have called and been told a manager would call us back to advise but have not received any communication.

Our experience has been overpriced and non responsive. Please look for another provider and do not call this company for your business.

Our tech, Devin was excellent! He arrived on-time, was very clear about the type and cost of work to be done, and went above and beyond to assist with our plumbing needs. We would definitely have him provide future service.
