I had my house build 18 years ago with a Trane a/c unit for 16 years never an issue. It was then replaced by this company with a Carrier system 2 years ago. The system that this company sold has broken down 3 times within 2 years and 2 compasitors replaced. service was great for 1st year then went down hill with miscommunication as well as poor help with last year. Great to start poor to finish. I would not get a Carrier system again or use this company for any more services.

They came out for a tune up on our 8 yr old anc unit and told us our Freon was leaking and the capacitor needed replaced. He said you might need a new system because AC units only last about 8 yrs. I didn’t believe him. Quoted a price. Really high price to find the leak. Capacitor was priced really high too. Got a second quote. Told the guy who came out for our second opinion what happened. He asked if the guy put in Freon because it was only a tiny bit low and yes I did need a capacitor but it would cost only $80, not $500 like the first guy said. Guess who we went with?

We have been using Unique for 8 years now. Purchased a Daiken ac "cadillac" model. We spent more than average at the time but wanted to b sure it would continue to serve us for many years. We found out today that the 12 year "warranty" is a farce....prorated and a way to get the consumer to buy from them again.
It is hard 2 know what and who to believe down here but we had the opportunity to meet Eddie today from Rhode Island. He was down to earth, knowledgeable, professional and I believe honest. Thank u, Eddie! Appreciate you! Unique needs to give u a huge raise or at least commission on the new units sold!

We've had 3 service calls in the last 2 months on our 3 year old system. Hopefully it's now fully functional and will perform as expected. The lead tech on our last 2 visits, Junior, seems to be an exceptional employee. He explained the needed services thoroughly, stayed on task until the task was completed and seemed to provide good supervision to the tech assisting him. If his work is as good as his customer service skills I expect that our system will be "up to snuff".

Unique installed a brand new unit in 2017. We’ve had several problems ever since. The latest being a motor that needs to be replaced. It is still under warranty and we were guaranteed that the motor would be replaced in a timely fashion and there would be no charge for the part or the service. We are now going on three weeks with no air-conditioning, in record high temperatures in Florida. I have called Customer Service many times to complain and I imagine that is why Unique now refuses to honor the contract or their responsibility to the warranty. They sent me a voicemail saying that the part needed has been sent back to the factory and they will no longer be sending a technician out. Apparently their reasoning is that they do not like negative comments made to Customer “service”

Worse service EVER!!!! First they tell me someone can be out within a few hours. Which was a LIE. Then after waiting an hour and a half of my time they call to say no one will be in the area till Monday night. So my almost 80 yr old mother has to go a long weekend with no help. So I spoke to a “manager “ who said he would get back to me in 30 min and an hour later I call and they said there is no one there today to handle this. So he never called me back. And now I can’t even speak to someone till Monday!!!!! Thanks for completely waiting my time. Horrible horrible service

Everyone I came in contact with Kory, Dan, and a third gentleman, I don’t know his name, was very friendly, honest, and professional. It was very refreshing. They did everything that they said with no surprises. They spent time explaining how to operate the new nest thermostat. The new 4 Ton Carrier AC was a mood changer. On going issue with the AC unit and updating contact information. Finally spoke with Manager, Jim Brown who was very understanding and accommodating. He worked with me to trouble shoot possible problems/solutions. Service tech Jason, Daniel and Guillermo were very professional, knowledgeable, clean and respectful.

We had our semiannual maintenance visit. The tech took all of 10-15 minutes to do what typically takes 30-45 minutes, some of the time trying to sell me on an upgrade to our system. In his haste he misaligned a float(my terminology) which caused the system to leak water into our garage. Unique was quick to send out another tech(Daniel) who fixed the problem caused by his colleague. Full marks for that but the problem should never have happened.
