Horizon Services - Air Conditioning, Plumbing & Heating

I had them come out to winterize my vacant house by shutting off the water main and draining the pipes/water heater. The tech was nice and knowledgeable but the price to do it this year more than doubled since last year. I understand it’s 2022 and inflation is high but other services I’ve had done on my home only went up 20-25% and those services required materials. They didn’t need materials and I honestly could have done it myself. I don’t know what’s going on in the internal business but the updated price was more of a gouge than a necessity it seems. Know I’m finally understanding what warren buffet meant when he said inflation swindles everyone because it is used as an excuse to charge people more than what is necessary. In this case much more. Gave 2 stars for the tech. I hope they can stop doing this because they are no longer my go to.

Really didn't love the fact that an AC Tune Up service advertised as $79 on the coupon came with a hefty '$25 fuel surcharge'. I scheduled by phonecall, and somehow missed that one.

Anthony, though, the person who came to do the actual tune up, was incredibly prompt, polite, informative, and professional, and provided excellent service. He really went above and beyond and took time to describe what he was doing, and why, and cleaned everything thoroughly.

Overall review is that the service is great, only praise for the technician, if you can afford the company policy of hidden fees, and you should probably assume there are some. If a service is $100, please just say so.

They have a priority plan for preventative maintenance and emergencies that seems to be a good deal for my situation, but seeing a lot of similar reviews of poor communication of prices or fees will have me shopping around first.

This is my second experience with Horizon. They were available when I needed them, arrived early within the time window given, had everything they needed to performed the requested task when they arrived, cleaned up after themselves, explained everything they had done in fine detail, provided detailed documentation of their work, and were very pleasant.

Absolutely perfect...Job Well Done 👏. Call Them They came to assess the same day...Install the next day.

The team was both courteous and competent; they arrived on time and worked late to complete the sewer main replacement; they left the lawn in good shape. We were very pleased.

My heater stopped working so called them and got a appointment the next morning. Technician came and was very polite and great but informed me he doesn't work on oil furnaces. No fault of his own since he was just sent there. So he called for the person who specializes in oil furnaces to come out. So my 8am appointment now came to the next person coming at 1pm. So lost my whole day waiting around. The next technical was great as well. Nothing but great things for both of them. No fault of thier own but I don't understand how they can send people who aren't qualified to work on all types of furnaces without maybe asking the homeowner what type do you have before they send someone who isnt able to do the job? A simple question of what type do I have before could of solved all of this.

Roy installed a whole house water filter. He meticulously fashioned it so it fit well and allowed my bikes to hang. He could have just slapped it up but he treated the job as if it were his own home.

Don't think you want a review from us today but...... Chimney sub late and didn't leave till 7. No manuals left. Horizon said they needed to be paid before work was done (and b4 Chimney/vent sub was even here). We don't know if we're getting proper air flow. I own a commercial construction company. If we worked like this we'd be out of business. BTW we've been in business over 33 years. Guys on site were professional. Scheduling not good.

Had an emergency of frozen pipe called horizon. Had tech Nick within two hours service was fenomenal professional and knew exactly what to do. Very satisfied this is my kinda company. Will continue to have my service with them.

Tony came by early on a Sunday morning with less than a day's notice to replace a leaking pipe. Great service, on time and, considering the rush on it for a weekend, relatively inexpensive.
