I called Impact because they are an authorized Carrier dealer and my furnace had a warrantable failure. The tech they sent out was nice, knowledgeable, and direct. He confirmed that my heat exchanger was bad and that it would take about 8 hrs to replace.

After waiting multiple days for confirmation I reached out to their office to find out what was going on. I was transferred to a person who had no actual knowledge about my system who told me that carrier would cover the part but labor would be $3900, for those who are math challenged that's almost $500/hr. He informed me that a new furnace would be a minimum of $6800 installed. I asked him to check into Carrier's offer to reduce the price of a new furnace under warranty. He claimed to know nothing about this but told me he'd call with information. This was a Friday.

By the next Friday I had a new furnace installed for $3900 parts and labor. About the time I was wrapping up with it Impact called me. Mind you, not the guy I spoke with to get information, just some random office person asking me when I'd like to schedule my furnace install.

The left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing here. And they are WAY too proud of what they offer. If I had to guess, it's poorly managed.

Save your money, search elsewhere.

I have been using impact heating and cooling for several years for both maintenance and repair. I highly recommend them - they are thorough and responsive. Nick came out today to do the maintenance on my ac unit. He had pictures of what he did they he reviewed with me and did a great job.

Update: my ac unit went out last night and I called this morning to see if anyone could come out to take a look at it. Luckily they had a cancellation and were able to send Tyler out this morning. He walked me through the problem and was able to fix it quickly. I continue to strongly recommend impact heating & cooling!

James came out to give us an estimate on a new furnace and he was polite, knowledgeable, and thorough in his work. He broke down every option, pro, con, and charge carefully and helped us make the best decision for our situation. When install time came, Dane and Jesus arrive exactly when scheduled and performed all of the work quickly and with jovial attitudes. After completing the install they took the time to walk me carefully through our new system's features and functions before leaving. James followed up with us promptly, both the same day and a few days after, just to be sure we were satisfied. I highly recommend James, Dane, Jesus, and Impact Heating & Cooling. Not only were they top quality professionals, but they were the best value bid and their company did not sneakily "roll in" unnecessary and inseparable automatic labor warrantees like two other, bigger Carrier companies we had give us estimates. You can count on the honesty and quality of this company.

Alec did a great job handling the cleaning that need to be performed in our crawl space. He was honest and provided very candid feedback and advice. I strongly recommend Impact heating and air!

Impact Heating helped build my house and has been extremely helpful with the ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting. Unlike most other companies, they do seem to have time on the calendar to address my problems quickly. Please keep up the good work.
