Balance Point Heating & Air Conditioning

The Balance Point team was super awesome! They spent extra time with me to explore options to retrofit my quirky old house with air conditioning. The installers were awesome and stopped to talk with me when there were important decisions to be made.

They are impressive! I called them after Heart Heating and Cooling repeatedly cancelled on me and wouldn’t prioritize a new appointment for me. It was a very hot week and I’d already dealt with five days of no air conditioning at this point. They got me a next day appointment and they showed up well before the last hour of my quoted window. Alan was professional and courteous and above that honest! He explained the issue and options and what he could do to fix it, all without making promises he couldn’t keep or trying to sell us services we didn’t need (a huge issue with hvac companies, in my experience). The cost was less than expected and we have air again! Our whole family is grateful, as we were getting on each other’s last nerve in this hotbox!

Anthony and Julio were very professional and polite and did a great job. They installed a complete system, including a new a/c, furnace, humidifier, and air purifier. I’m sure it wasn’t easy working on a cramped crawl space, but they were upbeat and got it all done in the promised amount of time. They also took time after installation to go over everything, which was really appreciated!

We had a humidifier installed on our gas furnace and a furnace check. The work was quoted, scheduled, and completed all in 2 days. We are very pleased with the salesmen's work with us, and installer and his work. The price very reasonalble for quality work.

Tech completed the simple value replacement promptly. $502 for 1 hour of labor to install a faulty water heater gas value was excessive. Owner did not respond to requests to at least review the bill after 4 attempts to contact him.

Balance Point installed a Quiet Cool whole house fan for us and we had a great experience- they were able to get out quickly for the initial quote and Ben was great to work with - super knowledgeable and gave us options and explained things well. We were able to get the fan installed within a couple of days and the installers, Anthony and Alex, were complete pros and did a great job doing the install and cleaning up after. They made sure we understood how to operate the fan settings and remote and gave us tips for maintenance and answered all our questions. Overall we are happy with the service we received from Balance Point and would highly recommend them.

Mick and Steve were friendly, professional technicians and both did an excellent job of installing our air conditioning system. I’m very impressed with the sales and service at Balance Point and I won’t hesitate to use them again.

They gave me an estimate which I accepted.
They showed up on time.
They did the work exactly as they said they would.
They left the house spotless by vacuuming up after the work was completed.
The cost was exactly as we agreed to in the estimate.

I would do business with them again. Really nice people. I’d five star them. After a few years of working with them they have always taken care of me and were nice about it. That’s Priceless.

Seems initial review did not post along with the 2 star rating... Technician did a great job confirming the reported symptoms and diagnosing a bad capacitor on my AC unit. However, cost far exceeded expectations given by Balance Point when scheduling the service appointment. $445.79 for an hour of service to swap an easily accessible $20 part seems a bit excessive. I was told base price would be $79 and technician would show up with a full truck so, in the event of a quick fix, I would be additionally charged for any required parts. I was not told the $79 was just for the truck to show up. I was also not informed of the $132 diagnostic fee (multimeter was the diagnostic tool). And I was not informed that it would cost $231.79 to swap the $20 capacitor. In addition, I was charged a $3 "Environmental & Consumables Fee" for the bad capacitor which the technician left in my home.

Ben from sales spent the time to match up a perfect fit for my home rather than all the other companies oversizing. This helps improve efficiencies and a lower bill at the end of each month. Anthony and Alex on install did a solid job with very clean lines. I can tell their team actually cares about the customer and the work they do. Two thumbs up and some toes too! Definitely would recommend.
