Balance Point Heating & Air Conditioning

I hired Balance Point to perform fall maintenance on our furnace and humidifier, a system that they previously installed. Their technician was polite, but unable to determine if the humidifier was functional or how to sync it to the thermostat. He spent hours in our home, made several calls to his office, but was unable to perform the service. Balance Point charged me $129 for the visit, and wrote estimates to replace the thermostat or add a separate humidistat totaling approximately $1,000.

Next I hired a competitor. They were able to diagnose the problem, sync the humidifier to our existing thermostat, and complete the fall maintenance for less than $300.

Clearly Balance Point's technician was incapable of doing the job that I paid for. I called Balance Point to request a refund, and spoke with the owner, Callan. He was polite and courteous, but failed to take responsibility. He declined to refund the unfinished work, stating the visit was for maintenance only and not for diagnostics. Callan admitted the Balance Point technician was inexperienced with our heating system, but he did not send a capable replacement technician. He added that Balance Point did me a favor by not charging for a diagnostic call.

Balance Point and Alan were so helpful in fixing our water heater, the repair was thorough and Alan was a great tech.

Dave was super informative and very helpful in deciding what thermostat to go with for my system. I will definitely be using them again in the future!

Anthony, Julio, and Shane were the consummate professionals for our installation. They informed us of their arrival time, had the necessary equipment for the job, and were incredibly thorough and detailed in their measuring, cutting, fastening, and installing of our Mitsubishi Heat Pump. They provided product information to us so that we were clear on its operation and future cleaning needs. All three of these technicians were absolutely excellent, and truly professional as Balance Point representatives! We couldn't be happier with their work!

Hired them to repair a register vent that was damaged with flooring installation. They seem to have issues measuring things, register no longer fits in vent because it's too small.

We trust this company enough to just open our garage remotely and let them do their work. They always do a great job and will be our go to for everything HVAC.

Great experience all around! We needed service in a hurry and Dave was at our house within an hour to diagnose our problem and get our furnace up and running. I will absolutely be a returning customer.

6/5/19: We have been customers of Balance Point for years. Consistently GREAT customer service. Jim was out today for our annual air conditioning tune up. I recognized him from our furnace tune up several months ago. He always takes the time to be thorough in his work and makes sure our questions get answered. He is also hilarious!

9/19/19: We had our new furnace installed two days ago with a follow up appointment today. The entire process start to finish was a piece of cake! From meeting with Callen Kusmik to pick the best furnace for the right price, to scheduling and payment with Jackee McCormick, to the installation with Travis Wallace and A.J. Avila, to the commissioning appointment with Kevin Durant, we were treated with the utmost courtesy and professionalism! We will continue to be clients for years to come! And, can I say how cool it is that I can adjust the temperature on the Smart Thermostat from my iPhone at home or away?!?

Mick and Steven were professionals. They did a good job with the demolition of our old and the installation of our new furnace. I look forward to working with Balance Point in the future.
