Sensible Heating and Cooling

I've been telling friends and family and people who don't even yet need HVAC services about Sensible. We had connection to them through our rental landlord for 6.5 years and then bought our own home. Our warranty co. sent out a different crew that took six different trips to figure out what Sensible technicians figured out in 1 trip- that we needed a new control board. Our experience with Sensible was incredible generally but was night and day in comparison to the other company. Sensible made what is a new homeowner's nightmare less anxiety-inducing because of their practices. Their office staff and technicians are kind, respectful, efficient, and have integrity, and their technicians are second to none with regard to their skill and knowledge. Even more? They provided us with a brand new furnace right before Christmas during a pandemic within a few days of their diagnosis, and their prices were still reasonable. They also were able to find a spot where our venting wasn't up to code and could have burned down our home- something our inspector didn't even catch.
I will shout their praises far and wide and will never use anyone else for our HVAC needs. They even registered our new furnace's warranty for us and scheduled the inspector for us. Honestly an incredible experience from start to finish; I wish I could give more stars.

Sensible Heating & Cooling was an absolute pleasure to work with! I got two additional estimates from other HVAC companies and was not impressed. Neither company was confident that they could get the job done. I had a new modulating furnace, modulating A/C, communicating thermostat, new high performance air cleaner/filter, steam humidifier, AND tankless water heater installed. Some of it had to be retrofitted and it was done in a small space. It was a complicated job and took 5 days to complete, but it was well worth it! Phil, Neil, Devon, and Preston were friendly and respectful of our home when work was being done. They are great guys! Jo, Erika, and Stephen were also great to work with! I could not be more happy with the work that has been done. I would highly recommend them!

Eric and Aaron were great! They were on-time, professional and provided me some great recommendations for my heating system.

Happy to find a local company with experience and knowledge in Heat Pump Technology.

Aaron came in a flash when I called Erika at Sensible Heating and Cooling and said our renters just told us the heat wasn't working on a VERY cold winter day last week.....YIKES!!!

This beloved family home has been with us since Great Aunt Irma built it in 1942, and carries a lot of cherished memories. It has a boiler system and not many places really know how to handle this fabulous type of system. We rent our home on a very selective basis, and want to make sure our tenants are well taken care of.

So of course this heating crisis happened just months after our repair and maintenance man we've relied on for DECADES retired and moved to Arizona. Starting over isn't easy when in a crisis!

Fortunately I was referred to Sensible Heating and Cooling by another friend in that part of Denver. (I think I owe her dinner for that great favor!)
The repair was FAST, SUCCESSFUL and REASONABLE. I have never felt so well taken care of in my life!

Other vendors might have charged an arm and a leg to an out-of-town landlord like me, knowing I was totally over a barrel in this emergency. But Sensible Heating and Cooling lived up to their name, and were totally honorable in all possible ways.

Today I just bought an annual contract with them for yearly preventative maintenance checks of our boiler system, which Aaron will most capably implement.

To me, the Sensible Heating and Cooling motto could be, "A friend in need, is a friend INDEED!" Thanks Erika and Aaron. :) :) :)

We didn't opt for the $13k price tag our home builder would have charged us for A/C, so after we closed, we began to look for options. After several referrals, I contacted Sensible. Dan, Stephen, Jo, and Erika all teamed up to quote a better unit than the home builder would have provided (at less than half the cost), got me on the calendar way faster than I was expecting, and installed the unit in record time, with zero inconvenience. The house is now nice and cold, just in time for Denver's 90 degree+ days. The experience was easy and I would refer them to anyone looking for any type of work to be done.

Excellent service. Very conscientious and thorough. Highly recommend this company. If you need a trustworthy, fast, h&c service, this is the company to call. I really like the budget-friendly payment plan and subsequent VIP service as well. The whole team is terrific.

May, 2022- Just had a new AC installed and the team (Stephen, Ivan and Frank) went above and beyond. Extremely satisfied with their planning, guidance, work, and cleanup. Erika (office) is also very helpful. This company hires true professionals. Thank you so much!!

We called Sensible Heating and Cooling, along with several other companies, to provide an estimate to replace our air conditioning unit. They were by far the fastest responding company and easily provided the best quote. They also offered replacement before the other companies could, which is quite a deal breaker when your air conditioning breaks mid summer. Phil came to the house to provide the estimate and was able to fully explain everything to us. We decided to replace our furnace as well since it was at the end of life and he was able to secure several rebates, bringing down the overall cost substantially. They showed up on time, were very professional, and left me with zero reservations when leaving them in the house to run errands and pick up the kids. They cleaned up their messes and made sure we understood our system prior to leaving. The best part was their customer service. I had joked with Phil that obviously he sees people at rough times in their life so he should bring ice cream when he makes house visits since their homes are sure to feel miserable. A couple weeks later, we received a gift card for Coldstone in the mail! This company is the best. I would highly recommend.

Eric did an outstanding job. Was very professional, to the point in his description of the maintenance performed, and clear about what we can expect with our unit in the future.

Low pressure, high service. For our furnace replacement with new AC they solved a piping problem that other reputable vendors would not try. Estimator and part-owner Phil is informative and responsive. He came out twice during the install. Installers were sharp and hard-working. Walter was willing to answer any question about what they were doing, how things worked, or how to operate and maintain the equipment. They include permitting, and rebate processing in their quite reasonable price. These folks seem to enjoy their work and care about how it comes out. A great value.
