Tyreece was my technician for my annual air conditioning cleaning and check up.
It was a rough day for Rock heating and air with multiple emergencies which pushed my 8:00 to 1 o’clock time slot to 5:00 PM.
I was kept in the loop all day by automated text messages and Tyreece which was much appreciated.
When Tyreece arrived, he immediately informed me what he was going to be doing, and how long the appointment would take.
After Tyreece did the checkup he explained to me in layman’s terms what was going on with the air conditioning unit and what needed attention, but not immediate attention, which I appreciated since I was not expecting to replace anything since my AC unit is just 6 1/2 years old.
All in all Tyreece was very professional and knowledgeable in and helped me understand the situation and the importance of getting it repaired.

First tech who started and ended every statement with "yea, brah" ended up servicing an older unit that I'd planned on replacing, without my knowing/authorization, charging over $2000 for what is easily $600 of market value, on a 20 year old unit that never should have been touched. We didnt authorize repairs, simply had "yea brah" come in and let us know we owed over $2000. I asked if that meant he'd replaced the compressor or something, but no. Just refilled it, which is like putting air in a flat tire without asking why it's flat. The service also promptly killed it - all of that work was blown out of the lines within 48 hours. I was sadly out of town or I'd have intervened, and they took advantage of my wife to further purchase some kind of monthly inspection as well. We replaced the entire unit (NOT with them), and a few months into these "inspections" they tell me it's low on coolant and needs a $1000 servicing. They send a picture of a gauge as an effort to prove this point. Except... it wasnt low, and even if it was low, it would have been more like $450 to fill it. These "inspections" are a waste of $15/m, and just an opportunity for them to try to exploit you.

There's almost no way you cant find a lower price somewhere else, either. Their rates and tactics are clearly oriented towards an uninformed demographic. It took almost 2 months to get a partial refund of the $2000 "work" but I was locked into their monthly "subscription" until the end.

Realizing what I was dealing with, I recorded my calls and even video recorded the visits of both their own follow up tech's inspection, my own inspection, and another HVAC company's inspection proving these claims. I'd love for them to respond and tell me any of this is inaccurate.

We are very happy with Rock Heating. They sent over a team of people to install a tankless hot water heater. They did a great job and all the workers were polite. Very happy.

Domenic was courteous and very willing to explain the process. He is the type of employee any business would want for a representative.
My issue is with scheduling. Most companies provide a window of when to expect service. With plumbing issues repair times can vary. A morning or afternoon window should be doable. I needed to be home all day and then get a late afternoon text asking customers to reschedule due to delays. I did The Rock emails said that dispatch would provide updates of when service would be expected. Updates were provided after I call and then I finally get one saying he’ll be here in 1 minute. No consideration for willing to postpone my original appointment to help Rock’s schedule.

They seriously saved us!!! This past week during the cold front our heat went out with a two week old baby at home. We panicked - who were we going to find same day to help. Well all we had to do was call Rock and they managed to squeeze us into their schedule. They came by, fixed the issue, charged us a very fair rate and now baby is warm again at home.

We'd definitely recommend Rock to anyone in need of HVAC services.

I highly recommend Rock Plumbing Heating and Air. They were out to immediately fix issues with frozen pipes and a malfunctioning boiler. One of the parts under warranty failed and they quickly replaced it and got my boiler functioning again. The service techs were friendly. The follow up from the office is phenomenal.
