    I reacehd out to Pacific Aire and had a great experience booking an in home appointment. My goals were simple. Perform preventive maintenance on my AC system, move two ceiling returns and remove a floor supply, and perform minor repairs to the attic ducting. The first tech came out for an assessment, not work completed. Though in all fairness, the assessment was accurate and identified some additional areas that needed to be addressed. He however did not do any of the other work, only an assessment. Another gentleman came out later to provide me with an estimate for 'repairs', but instead, provided me with a full duct replacement and wanted to sell me new attic insulation. Tens of thousands of dollars. The insulation was brand new, but on the thin side. I explained that I didn't want full replacement and just repairs for now and was still waiting on preventive maintenance. No follow up from them after that. I reached out 2-3 months later and asked for an estimate for a mini-split for my home office and also asked that that someone please come out to perform the maintenance I had originally asked for and to complete my repairs. They prompty sent another gentleman to quote me the mini-split and he again quoted brand new ducting. Keep in mind, no one has bothered to repair the ducting, only provided me with estimates for replacement. Seemingly separate, their HQ called to schedule an appointment to perform preventive maintenance on my heater, but not my AC which is what I originally asked for. I agreed, they came out and did the maintenance, he did spend the extra time to also service my AC but he wasn't scheduled for that. Several weeks go by and we have not needed to use the heater, we go into a cold snap a Very VERY windy day and the heater is not working. We call for a repairman to come take a look. He determines there is a sensor that is tripping because of, what he believes is damage deep in the heater core and the only fix is full replacement and they promptly send another gentleman to comeout and provide a quote. So now.a few months in I have been visited no less than 6-times, provided (3) estimates in the tens of thousands range, and have a broken heater that was supposedly just maintained with no issues presenting until after maintenance. I confirm his findings, that the sensor is tripping, but am not convinced the heater is broken. I order the $8 sensor on amazon and replace it and that doesn't solve the issue. However, I do notice the front panel on the heater is upside down and there are less venting slots on the bottom than on the top thus changing the airflow to where the sensor is located. I flip it back upright and viola! The heater stays on and functions properly. I even noted that the panel was left upside down after his maintenance and when you compare the picture on the user manual, it was indeed upside down. Literally a free fix. Silence from Pacific Aire.

    So here I am many many months later, still no duct repair. I reached out twice to the last gentleman that came out and let him know that no one has followed up with me and even though he assured me that he reached out to the service manager, no one from Pacific Aire followed up with me after this.

    However, out of pocket has not been very much money at this point, but the only real 'service' I have received was a dusting of my heater (no filter replacement) and a thorough cleaning of my AC unit.

    On the surface, Pacific Aire appears to have their act together. Clean and bright vehicles, clean and polite technicians, thorough assessment reports, simple and fast estimates. The did not however come through for me what my original requests were or or follow up. At this point I cannot recommend them unless you really do want a full replacement since that seems to be all they are interested in doing.

    Update : Darien Christopher came today and did an amazing job, He was professional an very personable as well. Darien is also extremely knowledgeable about every aspect of the system an went over the entire system in detail with me. All the People at Pacific Aire are Great as well.
