Faucet repair lasted 3 months then problem returned. Repaired plastic water line to refrigerator buy continued to leak. Had to return several times but continued to use "quick fix" approach. The whole line should have been replaced. It eventually burst while we were out and flooded kitchen and other parts of house. Damage was over $50k. Quick fix is not always best.

We had an appointment set by our Home Warranty company with Collins to repair a leaking toilet tank. Collins responded within an hour of our service request and arrived in under 24 hours to fix the issues. Gerardo was our technician and he did an excellent job while maintaining a very high level of professionalism. The complete fix to replace all of the tank components took roughly 30 minutes and the toilet is operating better then it was before the leak started. I highly recommend Collins and will use them again.

Unclogged one of our toilets on 3 different occasions. Had to remove toilet each time but was successful each time. The tech told us we must have a problem in the sewer piping and the current toilet we have does not have the flushing power to work properly. On the next service call for same problem, he talked to our Home Warranty company to get a new toilet with more flushing power approved. Bought the new toilet, installed it, took away old one, and new one has worked great since!! Good communication from office and tech and very nice to work with. Highly recommended!!

Had the furnace serviced. Serviceman did work on the furnace on the roof. However, he refused to check the thermostat. Said if the furnace was coming on, thermostat was ok. When I had my furnace serviced by other companies, they always checked the thermostat. One reason we wanted the furnace serviced was because it was reluctant to start up at the beginning of fall. He also didn't even ask or look at the filter. So, service was probably adequate, but I wouldn't consider it complete. Probably not use this company again.

I’ve used Collins twice in the last couple of months. One was to repair a toilet and most recently, to fix our air conditioner. The first gentleman who came to repair the toilet was fast and professional and thorough. His name is Chris Parker. The next gentleman who came to repair our air conditioner was Jose Millan. He saw the problem and quickly fixed it and we are so grateful, being that it is in the middle of summer here! We had had Parker & Sons out the week prior and the tech they sent was really inexperienced and couldn’t figure out what was wrong with the air conditioner. It took Jose about 15 minutes to figure out the problem and another 20 to fix it. Thanks so much to Collins for professional plumbers and HVAC techs!

Eric was the consummate technician, professional and courteous. He came in, assessed our needs, and gave us the ultimate decision on what to do. Once we decided, he had the plumbing issue resolved and new hardware installed in what seemed like minutes. His clean up left it better than when he got here. I give Eric and Collins my top recommendation.

Collins Commercial Services came out Nov. 4 to fix leaky water-heater couplings and look at intermittent hot-water issues. Collins was the vendor sent by OneGuard Home Warranty. The couplings were fixed, but nothing was found regarding the hot water. That night, we noted a smell when running a bath for our baby. That smell grew in intensity as the days passed. I reached out to OneGuard the following week. I noted during the second appointment set up that while the smell started after Collins was out, that I wanted to find the source of the smell, not pin the blame on them so I could avoid a service fee. The second and different repairman showed up on Nov 17. He was on the premises for less than 5 minutes. I took him to the upstairs bath and ran the water. We both noted a strange smell. He then declared that he was stumped and recommended a $700 smoke test, likely not covered by the home warranty. The repairman was on site for 5 minutes and literally didn't touch a single plumbing fixture or piece of equipment. Now, I am in the middle of the 48-hour period where OneGuard can't take any other further action until they review the repairman's smoke test recommendation, which they'll likely deny. While I was waiting, I actually did what the plumber was too lazy or inept to do and tested the water and drains. It's clearly now a water supply issue, not a drain, so a smoke test wouldn't be the answer anyway. Not only did the repairman waste my time by not even attempting to fix the problem, but he's sharing bad information with the home warranty company, which will extend the problem into Thanksgiving week. Moreover, OneGuard will likely call this situation closed, and I'll have to pay out of pocket for something that should have been covered. Thank you Collins Commercial Services for not just doing less than the bare minimum, but also making sure your negligence causes additional out-of-pocket costs for me.
