Do not do business with them.
Here is a rundown of all of the issues I've had with this company.
- Quote for install from their contractor was drastically over the quoted online price.
- Install was done with a ridiculously oversized stand and needed to be redone, they tried to charge me the cost of the crane to redo the stand.
- Ductwork in the attic was left crushed and disconnected blowing cold air throughout the attic.
- I ordered a 16 SEER model to get the SRP rebate, the contractor wouldn't submit the paperwork for the rebate without a $225 fee. They never submitted the paperwork.
- Last winter the heat stopped working and took well over a week to get fixed.
- During the rain this fall discovered that the unit wasn't properly sealed on the roof and caused significant damage to the ceiling.
- Over the weekend I turned the heat back on to discover the heating does not work again. The same issue as last year.
I've emailed to give them a chance to correct the issue with a competent contractor and haven't heard back.

I am very skeptic when it comes to things that seem to good to be true. I did a lot of homework before pulling the trigger on this deal and it was a very smart move. Once I placed my order on-line, I received a call from my chosen contractor Chandler Air within 20 minutes asking when they can come perform their inspection. Chandler Air was a little aggressive with what they wanted to upsell so I think it's important to ask questions on what is a "must have" and what would be considered an option due to the age/condition of some of the items not included with the new unit. I am talking about drain pans, electrical, ducting etc... My only must have was a larger pad for the new larger unit to sit on outside so I paid $1350 including the pad for instalation. The unit was installed by 2 people in about 5 hours and they were extremely nice and knew what they were doing. I went in the attic after they left to inspect their work and found everything to be done perfectly. I highly recommend both newACunit and Chandler Air. My total for the installed 4 ton 14 seer unit including tax was just over $3600 and it is so much quieter and works so much better than the original. Others quoted me $10000 plus for what in the end would be the same result, quiet operation and cold air when needed. This was a great find that I will tell everyone about and is the real deal just be careful with the contractor upsells.

We were in a pinch to get new AC installed. Thanks to newACunit, it was done quickly and was much less money than other quotes we had received. Their techs were extremely nice and good at their jobs. Highly recommend this company!

I bought my house 3 years ago, not realizing My AC unit was too small for the house, over the last 3 years I have had quotes from numerous companies saying i needed a 5 ton unit for my house and it would be anywhere form $10k to $20K to be installed, I have been back and forth with my home warranty company trying to get as much life as i could out of this old one fixing it up to 4 times each year cuz I did not think I could afford a new unit, Not only did NEWACUNIT.COM give me a unit and a third of the price other companies were quoting me, they also have links to different Loan companies that approved me without much information, needed. I started looking on Tuesday...applied for one of the loans Tuesday night, got the funds on Wednesday Morning Paid for the unit thru PAYPAL and THURSDAY an INstaller was here surveying my roof and it is now Friday at Noon and I am sitting in a house that was 95 degrees this morning it is now sitting at 84 degrees 2 hours after they finished installing the A/C on my roof. THIS IS THE BEST DEAL YOU CAN ASK FOR with 1 year warrantys on the installation and 10 years on the UNIT at a third of the price for me but a least half the price of most of the quotes i saw. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

I bought a unit and am completely satisfied with the purchase. Even though there is a shortage of units everywhere right now, I was able to get installed a couple of weeks after purchase

While having to buy a new AC system is not something to be thrilled about, NewAC was wonderful to work with. I selected Air Care as the installer and they did a great job and went out of their way to make sure that I was completely satisfied with the installation.

The day before we left town, our AC unit went out. Ugh! Thankfully we reached out to the folks at New AC Unit and were able to easily facilitate the replacement of our unit at a cost MUCH less than what our normal AC guy wanted to charge us. The service company they connected us with was AMAZING! They were so patient with us as we kept losing service in the mountains. By the time we returned, our AC was running cold again. GREAT experiences!! I recommend New AC Unit to anyone that will listen!! :)

My renters called me last week and I heard the dreaded words , Air conditioning is not working. I've had issues with the HVAC system in the past, and knew I needed to finally bite the bullet. Called three companies to come out and give me a quote. Bottom line, they ALL were going to install a new condensing unit, outside, and air handler ,attic, and the final quotes/prices ranged from $8,200-$11,500. Sticker shock. By the way, my existing system was R-22 gas, which is no longer sold; So even though the leak was in my outdoor unit, the ENTIRE system needed to be replaced. The new gas R-410a isn't compatible with the old Freon. Something I learned during this process.

I decided to go online and see what newacunit dot com was all about after seeing the billboards and hearing the radio ads. I paid $3250 for a BRAND NEW high efficiency Goodman system; same one these other guys were going to install, and the $3250 included the installation. I got to pick my contractor, so I decided to go with Perfect Temp owner Chris was EXTREMELY helpful; he even came the same day and put a band-aid on the system so my renters didn't have to go to a hotel.

I don't know how they're doing it, but NEWacunit dot com is going to cripple the local HVAC companies; prices/quality/service is unbeatable. My biggest hurdle was trusting that buying a new air conditioning system online was going to be the RIGHT thing to do. I was skeptical at first, but trust me, you will NOT be disappointed. I have all my warranty paperwork, and the install came out beautiful. New system is SUPER QUIET, and my favorite part, it's nice and cold.

Remember when we used to call a taxi to pick us up, and give them shotty directions? Couple years from now it'll be, remember when we used to call an air conditioning company to come give me a quote. Change with the times. Glad I did.

I just have one word to describe my experience. Amazing. I saved about $3000 on my new AC unit. Mr. Ed and Jerry from new ac unit were very helpful in answering all my questions and the entire buying process cannot be any more simpler. Trust me, I got atleast 3 quotes for the same goodman brand and capacity. New ac unit beat everyone out fair and square. I chose clearair as the contractor. Within a few hours after I placed my order Gary from clearair called me and I got the new unit installed pretty quickly. Installation was very professional and I am super impressed by the quality of work clearair. Overall great experience, I would certainly recommend to my friends.

Good deals on builder grade ac systems. Limited selection of high efficiency systems. That said, I was able to spec a 4 ton 18 SEER Goodman system that met my needs. The online spec’ing & ordering process was easy, and now includes resources for financing options, which was helpful.

The installation contractor that I was paired with was responsive & easy to deal with. My installation did not go as smoothly as anticipated though. They encountered compatibility issues with multiple thermostats (Sensi WiFi & Nest). Some of this was related to the wiring in my older home, but eventually they told me that in order to take full advantage of the system features & efficiency (diagnostics, humidity control, variable speed fan etc), the Goodman branded ComfortNet thermostat would be required. This is a very expensive thermostat ($400+), and while it can be controlled wirelessly (with purchase & setup of additional accessories), it doesn’t have the “learning” capabilities of Nest & other similar products. It would be helpful if NewACunit would provide this advise during the purchase process, as this is not an insignificant expense & caused several days of delay between the contractor troubleshooting & me having to order the appropriate thermostat (saved ~$75 ordering this online vs local distributors).

Overall, I’m very happy with the service & the equipment I received. It’s only been a month since install, so I can’t comment on the durability of the system, but it has functioned great so far in the crazy north Texas October/November weather we’ve been having (temps both in the 30s & mid 90s) over the span of a few weeks.

The higher end equipment manufacturers (carrier, trane etc) may have better reliability/longevity, but at literally half the cost, I was comfortable taking that risk on the Goodman. However, I probably wouldn’t have taken the plunge if it weren’t for them having the higher efficiency 18 SEER units. If I’m going to be investing in equipment that is going to last 10-20 years, I’d at least like to be taking advantage of the newer features (two stage compressor, variable speed etc).
