HeatSource technicians and office staff are friendly, very accommodating and patient. My water heater stopped working on a Friday and, per my request, they came on Monday morning to install a new one we provided. I also had an annual service maintenance done on furnace and humidifier on same day. I’m grateful that they were so understanding to my needs. Thank you to all staff members!

Reached out for an estimate on a new garage unit heater install and they came out the following week for a site visit and I received the estimate later that morning. I work in commercial construction and recognized it was a fair price, plus they had the specific unit heater in stock that I wanted and could do the install within the next couple of weeks, so I canceled a couple of other estimates I had scheduled (I did receive one other beforehand which was more than 2X their price, from Prospector, which I recognized right away as ridiculously overpriced). The crew was very courteous and also was accomodating of my feedback (i.e. the heater was initially sticking out too far, I asked if I could drop a light fixture out of the way so it could go back further, which they had no problem with). The guys cleaned up behind themselves and seemed to take pride in their work. I will reach out to Heat Source in the future for additional work and would recommend others consider them.

Have been dealing with HeatSource for years. Always a pleasure to have them over and clean my furnace. Knowledgeable staff and an awesome estimator. Put my system in during the winter- installed temporary heaters to run while my furnace was being replaced. Also did I mention I love that estimator AG.

The tech who inspected our furnace for the sale of our home was incredibly unprofessional. He acted like doing his job was a huge inconvenience for him. He found a small crack in the condensate tube and told us we would be lucky to find a replacement part and might need an entirely new furnace. A quick google search indicated that parts are available. He left a wadded up paper towel in the furnace saying it wouldn’t get hot enough to cause an issue. His report indicated that our furnace is older than is accurate and he made a comment about the life span of furnaces in general which does not apply to our furnace (because we heat primarily with wood so our furnace has incredibly low hours and has been impeccably maintained) and could impact the value and sale of our home. When we brought our concerns to the manager we were told that company policy is to never change what a tech puts in their report- evidently even when the information is subjective, inaccurate or doesn’t apply to the situation. Further, he was to look at our gas stove and continually commented that it was a huge pain, he doesn’t really know about gas stoves. He fiddled with the door for 15 min and managed to strip the threads of the bracket the door bolts to and then told us it was cross threaded. He managed to mostly get the door closed again but then said the door was warped and didn’t close properly- despite the fact that the door is cast iron and is clearly not warped. He said it was not safe so he turned off the stove BUT DID NOT TURN OFF THE GAS. We tapped and rethreaded the bracket and the door closed smoothly so we ended up paying $60 for him to break our stove and not give us an inspection report because, as he said, he doesn’t know about gas stoves, anyway.
It has now been almost 2 weeks and we have not heard back from Heat Source about replacing the condensate tubing.
Previously we have had positive experiences with this company but this interaction has us convinced to never deal with them again.
Update: it’s now been more than 2 weeks and when we called to check on the part they wanted to replace, they said they would call the furnace company and check and call us back(which is what they said they’d do 2 weeks ago). Still waiting for a call back.

Very pricey for what's done. The same repair 1 year ago, after hours, on Christmas Eve was still $500 cheaper from another company. "Prices have gone up" I was told. $537 for a part that, according to online (because you can scan these things!) is about $250ish. And the service guy called my husband instead of me to discuss it. He isn't even currently in the state and didn't make these appointments. Disappointed.

We used HeatSource Mechanical for many many years. We were on their monthly maintenance payment plan for a once a year maintenance check. They always found something wrong to charge for in the yearly maintenance. Last year was a whopper. They suggested we needed a new furnace and implied it wouldn't make it through the winter. On they're advice, I was going to buy a complete new furnace until I realized that the maintenance person caused a gas leak in the furnace. When I called them, the receptionist told me there could be a charge on them fixing the leak they caused. She told me nothing about turning off the gas and said someone could come as an emergency call at the end of the day, which would have cost a lot. Relatives visiting for my husband memorial service suggested I call Enstar. Enstar was wonderful. They came over right away at no charge. I called HeatSource telling them that Enstar said they should come over immediately. HeatSource did fix their error at no cost but why didn't they tell me about Enstar coming over. They handled the whole situation so poorly, I cancelled the new furnace. I got a 2nd option and the other company said I didn't need a new furnace right then (October 2022). I was really disappointed but HeatSource has became too expensive, incompetent and looking out for their profit and not for benefit of the customer's.

Good company to work with. Install is nice. Floor of garage didn’t get quite as cleaned up as I would have liked when done. Few spare parts and some water bottles left for me to pick up but not huge deal. The introductory instruction was very limited and the tech was not able to answer my questions completely.

Overall I am satisfied so far.

edit: thank you for response to my review. I have recommended your company to others and I don't do that lightly.

My boiler was leaking on a Saturday. The technician allowed me to send him pictures of the leak to see if it was an emergency or not in order to save me from not having to pay a weekend call out fee. I was able to wait and make an appointment . Jamison came out, right on time, fixed the leak, took the time to discuss other options with me for all of my equipment, not just the boiler.

Beware! They gave me a bill that stated:
Parts and Service $915 dollars. There was no break down as to how much for part and how much per hour for labor. I had no idea how much an inducer motor cost or how long it would take to replace one. I feel like the billing was purposely deceptive. Later I found part on line for $215 dollars. Tech later told me that they charge $240 an hour for labor which is fair. It took 45 minutes to replace inducer motor. That means that in all reality they charged me over $700 dollars for an hour of labor.
Later, after many emails and calls, they told me that they had an agreement with their supplier and they couldn’t disclose part prices. I was also told multiple time that a Supervisor would be calling me about my billing concerns. No one has ever called back.
I plan on filing a complaint with the State Attorney General’s office with their Consumer Protection division. After a couple of calls I contacted Bowkers Heating and they gave me an itemized bid on replacing our furnace. All information as to costs was explained. Their prices were fair and tech was professional. I cannot recommend Heatsource Mechanical.

Billing was a nightmare. Used a check which they stated was returned, no way it was a nsf return. Couldn’t tell me why it was returned, kept saying it was due to their bank. I still had to pay the return fee. They charge 3% pay by card fee. After everything…eating all
The fees I was still over billed. Total rip off. Tech showed up cleaned a sensor and charged 216$ Do not use. Very unprofessional. Completely feel ripped off by this company.
