Their installation team was also professional, knowledgeable and positive throughout their two days here. Totally feel good about this decision and now my home is more comfortable! Looking forward to a cold night now!
Five phone calls over 10 days to replace a thermostat for a top of the line Trane Heat Pump system HC Heating and Cooling installed. No technician follow through at all. The scheduling system and answering service is a joke. This company is unreliable!
I hate to do this to anyone but I need to warn people not to use Hood Canal Heating and Cooling for any reason. Our heat pump/heating unit died in December. I prefer to use local and since I worked in Belfair I went with a Belfair company. They came, gave me a bid for a complete new heatpump and unit, scheduled it for mid Feb after I gave them a 1K dep. The snow came, they cancelled and I was okay with that. Cold, but okay until I called the next Monday to find out when they would reschedule and was told not until April. I then asked for deposit back so I could find someone who could do it sooner. They managed to squeak it in. (the technician was here until midnight two nights in a row to make it work, he has since quit). System is working everything is good until it gets hot. We turn on cooling and on June 14 I get a call that water is gushing out of my ceiling below the unit ruining the bed, carpet and books. They didn't put in the condensation pump. The technician came, saw the damage and said HC would make everything right. After daily phone calls to the office and only getting to speak to the receptionist as the manager was always too busy to talk to me or call me back, they told me to go through my insurance. Going through my insurance hurts my rating and costs me money for something that was a mistake on their part. It is now July, I have approximately 8 to 10K in damages to fix, a house getting moldy and making me ill AND STILL NO CONDENSATION PUMP!!! So the unit is off and unusable.
NEVER use this company. The technician had marked the work needed as high-priority, but it still took a month for them to get back to me with a quote. Not only would it be another two weeks before they could begin work, their quote is double of any other company I received one from.
Initial service call - "No problem found." Had to come back a week later when problem persisted. This began a multi-month period of diagnoses, ordering parts, replacing parts, more diagnoses, etc. Although the virus contributed to some delay, service was further delayed by mis-diagnoses, unavailability of parts, and incompetence. To cap it off, the last I heard from them - about six weeks ago - was that they needed to order a part and schedule another appointment, and would call me with status. No call. I advise finding another company if you need HVAC service.
We had our furnace installed by Hood Canal Heating & Cooling two years ago.We were so satisfied with our install, that we have chose to utilize them for our annual maintenance. They are professional, thorough, personal and affordable.I highly recommend them
I appreciate the fast service as I had been without heat for 3 weeks. I have asked for an itemized invoice twice and was told I would have it last week, April 24, 2020 but I have not received it. This causes me some concern. So I would rate the service and technician as good but not the bookkeeping department.
I had a terrible experience with these guys. The tech that came out was nice enough, but told me what I already knew was broken and was doubtful that the part could be found to fix it. He said because it was our primary heat source it would get more attention and be taken care. A week later, after calling the office a couple times, they still hadn't even bothered looking at the paperwork about finding the part we needed to fix it. Took care of it myself, replaced the broken fan motor, and didn't have to deal with them beyond paying the service call charge. Wouldn't recommend.

Had an appointment to meet Heat Pump advisor at my second home. Drove two hours to meet at noon. He didn’t turn up but said he could get there in 4 or 5 hrs. I couldn’t wait that long in a freezing house. So 4 hours of driving for nothing. A disorganized unreliable company
