I am so very satisfied with A-1American and more specifically, their technician Jake! He is super friendly, stayed in contact with me, answered ALL of my questions without hesitation and with honesty. Quoted me the price and that is what I paid! Jake and his assistant arrived on time, worked through horrendous heat in my attic, and got my new ac installed like clockwork! My home is cooling down as we speak and we are loving it! Jake explained how to register for the warranty for the products I as well, and that process was easy too! As much as I've seen the A-1 American commercials, I can say they are truly a company of their WORD and I will DEFINITELY use them for future home improvements or repairs!!! Very, very happy customer right here!

On a Saturday morning, in the hottest of July days, the AC went out in my elderly mother's home (she cannot climb stairs due to a stroke). After calling three repair companies, one of whom installed the system and told me, "since there was a unit working upstairs, it was not considered an emergency and to call back on Monday for a regular service call," and the other two never bothered to return my call, I called A-1 American. The lady listened to me and told me she would submit my repair to a technician who would contact me. Within minutes, I receive a text which gave me the name, Jake, who was the technician assigned to my work order. Jake called and came during the time period he said, he evaluated the unit, and diagnosed the problem. While he did not have the specialty part needed to repair the unit same day, he helped me with strategies to stay cool until he could get a price quote and respond by a specific time on Monday. He kept his word by calling on Monday with a quote and time to install the part. I was impressed and grateful that not only did he set an appointment, Jake made the repair a day earlier than planned.
Before submitting a review, I waited to make sure the unit was fixed. The AC is working better than it did before I made a call. Thank you, Jake, for your professionalism and for being a man of your word.

For the price to replace an external faucet I was expecting a professional job!! Contacted company last Thursday and appointment made for Saturday. Technician made contact Saturday morning and stated they were very busy and might arrive that afternoon. No other communications until Sunday at 3:30PM, at which time new appointment made for Tuesday. As displayed in the attached pictures, the old faucet was mounted against the siding and the new faucet was installed protruding about one inch from the siding with some installation tubing wrapped around. Would not recommend A1 American, poor workmanship.

Ray McPherson is the technician who came out to see about the issue we were having with our tankless electrical water heater. He was very thorough about everything concerning the issue. He explained everything that he was doing and gave us an honest assessment of his findings and recommendations. I like the fact that he stuck with the job regardless of how difficult it was and stayed until the job was complete. We truly appreciate Mr. McPherson not leaving us hanging out there to wonder who's coming next to figure out the issue instead sticking with the job. Thank you A-1 for sending your best employee to fix our problem.

We recently suffered water damage to our home and were in the market to replace our water heater. I set up appointments with multiple companies to get estimates, and each sent a tech out to survey the issue and gather the information for that estimate. The representative from A-1 American is the only one that ignored my questions and comments on what I was looking for and proceeded to give me only an estimate for a tank system. Not only that, he continued to push for rerunning gas and water lines to completely relocate the system, which would cause the price to skyrocket. In the end, he gave me a quote that was 3-4 times what any of the other 3 major companies gave AND charged me a service fee for the consultation that I wasn't made aware of when I made the appointment. I have no problem paying a consultation fee, these teams are very busy and their time is valuable, but I effectively paid for them to waste my time. If they didn't want to take on the job, they should have at least said as much rather than making up a ridiculous estimate while keeping my money.
Update: Meg from A-1 reached out to me to address my concerns. She was incredibly professional, patient, caring, and engaging. At no time did I feel that she was simply responding to a complaint. I truly felt she cared about my experience with the company and worked with me to come up with a resolution that worked for both parties. If my rating was based on my experience with her, it most definitely would have been 5 stars.

My mother needed her water heater replaced. The last one was installed in 1998! I called A-1 American because I saw that they specialized in water heaters. Jeremy Shacklette was our service provider. He was professional, clean and skilled. He completed the job in a short amount of time and cleaned up after the work was done. I was very satisfied with the services we received from Jeremy. Ask for Jeremy if using A-1 American.

My toilet was running so I called A1 American to come fix it. They told me there was an $85 fee but that it would be applied to the cost of the repair. When the plumber arrived, he told me he could rebuild the inside of the tank for $900 that he quoted from his price book. I said " what? The toilet only cost $250." I asked how much it would be to install a new toilet and he said 700. I told him I would not be using his company. I went on you tube and it said to replace the seal! I paid $5.00 for the part and it has been fine since. I spoke to Meg, the manager and explained the situation and that I wanted my $85 refunded. Whenever I call, Meg is not available and does not return my calls. Rip off!

He took the time to answer my questions, explained how pricing worked, and made me smarter about my home plumbing. A-1 American succeeded where previous plumbing companies fell short for the same issue. GREAT JOB by A-1 American and John!
