Air 1 Mechanical Heating Cooling Plumbing

We've used Air 1 for years with our heater and AC and recently had them replace a water heater. We were very pleased with the price and the plumbing service was of the same high quality that we have always received over the years with the heating and AC. We have also appreciated that Air 1 has always been so responsive. Issues generally pop up at the worst possible moments, and they have always been great in fitting us in quickly.

Five stars is for Marc's prompt arrival, diagnosis of the problem and quick resolution. Turns out the AC compressor unit's start capacitor was dying. He replaced and cleaned the unit and it worked fine. The only negative is pricing. Beware, the capacitor price was over $200. One the price was first shown, I immediately looked the exact part up online and found the identical capacitor for $15. I showed the tech the item and he said the only thing he could do was waive the service fee. This was enough for me to agree, however this was way more than what the item actually costs.

We had family visiting and our AC went out. After getting what we felt was a high estimate, we contacted Air 1 for a second opinion. They actually came in about $200 less than our first estimate. Within 30 minutes after our initial call, Air 1 technicians arrived to repair our AC and 30 minutes later they were done and we couldn't be happier with the results. The technicians were friendly and knowledgeable, giving us valuable advice on how to extend the life of our HVAC system through small things that we could do each year ourselves. Thank you Air 1!! Today I recommended you to a neighbor as well!!

I'm really glad I called Air 1 to get a quote on a new HVAC system for our condo and they replaced next day.

Last week Air 1 came to install a new heat pump and air handler. They did a very professional job, informed me on details as they proceeded, and cleaned up beautifully. System runs great AND they were significantly less than the crazy quote I received from another contractor. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of heating or ac work.

First of all I had a failing AC system that they came out to investigate and determined that the system was leaking internally and could not be fixed. The technician that came out was Chris and he was very pleasant and knowledgeable. I proceeded to have them come out and give me a quote for replacing my entire HVAC system and moving over to a heat pump. I knew nothing about these systems and wanted to get a few quotes for comparison. After getting a couple more quotes (even from someone that was going to do the job on the side) Air 1 was the lowest price by far. They were able to come out within a couple of days and the installation went very smooth. The technician that came out for the installation was Chris. They were very clean when installing the system and took the time to explain what they were doing along the way. They did a superb job with the installation, along with the plumbing and wiring. It has been a couple months since the install and the system is working great!

When the compressor unit of my HVAC system stopped working, I called a different company, Central Services. They sent out a technician the next day who took the unit apart a bit just to tell me it's old and shot and would be very expensive to repair, so I might as well just go ahead and buy a new one and was eager to give me a series of quotes.
After he left, I called Air 1 for another quote and they had a technician (Marc Davila) at my house in 30min. However, this technician had a very different opinion of my system and quickly diagnosed the issue as a simple burnt fuse and had me up and running in 10 minutes. He could have just sold me a whole new system, but he was honest with me instead, unlike the first technician. While he was there I went ahead and got a quote from him, which was $2000 less than cheapest option the first guy tried to sell me.
I'll definitely be giving Air 1 my business when I do need a new HVAC system. Thanks, Marc!

Great experience with Air 1!

Called Alan at 8am and he had someone come out the same day.

Roberto, the technician, came at the exact time I was expecting him. He was very nice, polite, and assured me we would get the AC running. It was pouring down rain outside but he had no problem getting the job done even in the rain. Once he got to work it took about an hour and a half between outdoor work on the machine and checking on things in the basement.

Not only did he get an 88 F house back down to comfortable temperatures on one of the hottest days of summer, but he also checked on the other machines down stairs and let me know there is a slight gas leak that needs to be taken care of.

Overall great experience. You won't go wrong with calling Air 1.
