Efficient estimate process with great customer service and honesty. Installation of complete system and duct work was done with precision and minimal (if any) disturbance to my home. I enjoyed having this wonderful local company work on my home. I will trust them with anything!
I called this company when my AC stopped working. It was in the middle of the summer so the house was feeling like a sauna and my patience was running thin, but after calling this company, I had a technician at my house that afternoon and I was able to go to sleep that night with a cool house. West End Heating and Air proved to be a professional, courteous, and efficient company that I would definitely recommend to family and friends.
This company is shady and deceptive- they operate under the guise of being a "small company just trying to survive" but they are anything but your neighborhood repair company.
I was referred to them from my home warranty company. I waited several weeks for an AC that was running inefficiently. Key word: RUNNING. I wasn't home when the service person came, so they spoke to my partner.
The service person told my partner that my until needed 7lbs of Freon at $125/pound. My warranty company doesn't pay this so I would need to. They also indicated there were leaks.
I get home that afternoon my house was hot. It has never been hot, just the bill was high so I knew it wasn't running efficiently.
Long story short: the technician flipped something in my until so it wouldn't connect and blow cool air. Without our consent. to make us think something was wrong.
2- My unit will only hold 3lbs MAX- not the 7 they were going to "fill my unit with" and charge me for. if it were depleted of Freon (it wasn't come to find out) I found this all out after hiring another hvac repair person.
This company wanted to sell me nearly $800 bucks in gas that I didn't need. And had the nerve to slap their gaudy WEST END HEATING AND AIR sticker on my unit like they did something to brag about.
I feel sorry for people who don't have the resources to NOT take them at face value and research further.
Tec was prompt and professional. Evaluated the problem. He explained everything. We set a date for service and the office person kept in contact with me each step of the way. There were no surprises. The work was done quickly and it was obvious they knew what they were doing and enjoyed their job. The price was reasonable. This could have gone VERY bad as air went down during the hottest days in August!
The technician was nice, very knowledgeable, and was able to explain the problem I had and how he fixed it. The work was done in a sufficient timely manner. Only downside to the company is they do not have weekend hours, and all day time frame windows of arrival. Other than that, I was very satisified with the work and professionalism of the company.
Very dishonest company!! The technician explained that my evap coil was leaking. He explained the part was under warranty but I would have to pay 1500.00. I asked for this figure to be itemized or just explained with some detail. I was told at this point that I should do business with another company that would explain these details to me. I should be thankful because my ac issue was fixed by performing some routine maintenance. There was never a leak and I was lied to by someone who eventually told me he was part owner. Hard to believe this type of thing goes on.
AHS sent this company to take care of a dispatch call with my heat pump in late December. Our heat pump wound up having to be replaced. From the initial email & text contact, to all of the phone calls, to each of the technicians who visited my home (one for the initial call, two for the new installation), I couldn't be more pleased with the level of professionalism, attention to detail, and excellent overall customer service that I've received. We'll be purchasing a maintenance agreement with them for sure, and if we have any other HVAC issues, we'll more than likely skip contacting AHS and call West End Heating & Air directly to ensure THEY'LL be the ones to be dispatched to our home! Thank you all!
There customer service is horrible and the technician missed diagnosed my HAVAC system on two different occasions.. The technician told me I needed to replaced two pieces, one part for heating and one part for the cooling, however the office manager came back and said I only needed one part replaced, when I asked to speak with him for clarity I was told he was not there and so I left a message for him to call me the next morning. Unfortunately he DID NOT call me back... the company didn't even order the one part they agree to replace till 10 days later.. this is NOT a good company
I had West End Heating and Air replace my central AC/Oil furnace system with new Heat pump/propane furnace system. I am an HVAC Construction professional and recognize first rate work when I see it. Jason, Ron and the staff are straight-shooters, professional at every step and a pleasure to do business with. I will gladly recommend their services.
I can't sing the praises of these folks loud enough! They came through in a pinch with a hard to find part after normal hours. Really saved me and my family from suffering through a below freezing night. They were knowledgeable, friendly, and got the job done. I'm so happy that I'll never have to look for another HVAC company again. West End Heating & Air has a customer for life right here!
UPDATE: Once again West End Heating & Air saves the day! My 32 year old furnace finally bit the dust and the guys at WEHA made short work of installing a new one and came in under budget! So happy to be heading into the holiday season with a warm house.
