    Unreliable and constantly late, work took months longer than quoted, scope of work not completed. Shop around for prices, they’re overpriced. Will make appointments and not keep them, or schedule inspections for when you’re not available. Doesn’t care about how things look or your home. Do not expect any repairs to damage done (drywall, floors, door frames, etc). Shoddy work as well, had to have multiple inspections before it passed.

    Very professional and responsive. Adam was on time and reviewed the "issue" we had with our plumbing . Very meticulous in both his work and also protecting work area with drop cloth etc. Thorough check after completing work to insure all was in order. If need service again will definetly use Sam and sons Tremendous from initial call to job complete!

    Be careful! We had a few issues and stupidly approved work described in their worksheet while the price amounts on the right were left blank. Net result: 2 hours work by plumber, plus parts, which included 4 shut off valves and supply lines, toilet shut off mechanism, and snaking out 2 drains ran us $5,346.52 paid by credit card. We stupidly charged our credit card. After asking around to plumbers and contractors in our area we learned we were gouged.

    A call to the company was met with indifference and the reminder that we signed for these things and the contract was final. The manager told my wife to take them to court and we'd be responsible for all legal expenses. Well, we DID sign the contract. We have no real recourse. Just be sure you don't fall for this same scam. Better yet, call another company.

    Date of the work order is 10/4/18. Strongly recommend you try anyone else.

    I contacted Sam and sons to check on my slow draining toilet. Fast same day service. They checked everything and problem was quickly fixed. They gave me some options for future upgrades I wanted to perform. No pushy salesman. Just honest hardworking guys. I will be calling them soon for the upgrades.

    The process with Sam and Sons’ was smooth and efficient! We had lost power and heat in our house due to winter storms. After calling Eli in the office, Daniel came out to my house within the same day. Daniel found and solved the problem the within the day! The workers were very professional, concise, and knew what they were talking about. I highly recommend Sam and Sons’ and will be using their service for all of my home’s future needs.

    During The last storm, we lost power, and when it was restored I had no hot water. The storm left behind 8 inches of water in my basement and drowned my water heater. First problem - getting the water out. I called two large companies here in Alexandria a week ago) - haven't had a return call from either of them yet (5+ days now). I called Sam and sons plumbing and they came out the same day and fixed the water out of the basement, let it dry and then installed a sump pump. Today they came back and installed a new water heater. They have hung in there with me 3 days of this week until the job was finished and I now have hot water for the first time since the storm. Thank you to Sam for taking my call, and for sending me Adam , Robert, And Scott You guys are amazing!!

    I called Sam and Sons’ for an estimate on replacing a bathtub in my house. I was told by other companies it would require a full replacement and drywall damage, with estimates ranging up to $4500. After talking with Emma on the phone, Sam personally came to inspect the situation, informing me that no replacement was required. Daniel came out the next day to repair the grouting, allowing me to save the bathroom and $4000. I will definitely call Sam and Sons’ in the future to follow up with a bathroom remodeling.

    I am so impressed by how much this company respects the customers' home. There was no attempt to upsell like an estimator from other companies attempted. Structural integrity of my home was improved while they were able to update the design. My goal was to improve the modernize my home but this company went above and beyond the goal I set for myself. I have recommend so many time by mouth that I thought I would write what I experienced as well.

    This issue has since been resolved. Sam, the owner, came out to my house to apologize for how the plumber treated me. He refunded a large portion of the bill and signed me up for a free year of a service plan for my HVAC unit.

    I had a leaky shut off valve. I called Sam & Sons. The plumber came & I was on a conference call. I put the phone on mute & walked him to where the valve was leaking. He then started to tell me how awful the issue is, & how he might need to rerun the line because of how close to the wall the original line was. Which is true the copper line was so close to the wall the concrete had been dug out to have room for the original valve. & he would also need to replace the outside faucet & vacuum breaker. He then showed me an invoice that was completely illegible, as I'm still on my conference call. He told me he would try & do it the least expensive way but he also needed to get a permit & inspection. He handed me the invoice & to my regret, I initialed everywhere he told me. He told me about all the discounts he was giving me, I told him this seemed expensive & that I had my entire pool liner replaced for about the same cost. He just kept talking about having to get a permit & inspection, so I'm thinking most of the cost is because he to cut a water line & get a permit & inspection. He said he wanted to check the rest of the water valves in the house to see if there were any issues with the rest of them. Telling me that it was probably pressure that caused the leak so it was likely other valves were affected. I didn't have any other leaks, but he did something to one of the valves & when I turned the water on it was black, so he said he needed to replace those as well. He then hands me an invoice of $3,234.38. Mind you he was only at my house an hour give or take 10 minutes. I told him again that it seemed expensive, but I assumed he was being fair & honest with me. The next day I called the office & asked for a typed version of the invoice. I paid $776 for about less than a foot of 1/2" copper pipe, you can get 10 feet from Lowe's for $13.68. I paid $489.12 for a cut off valve that costs $10.98. I paid $376.50 each for 2 valves for the bathroom sink (remember the black water), they cost $9.98 each. And I paid $285 each for 2 supply lines in the bathroom that cost $4.98 each. For a total of $2,588.12 for parts which cost a total of $54.58. Add to that the labor charge of $256.50 + Permit/Inspection for $389.76. I emailed them & asked to justify the costs. They had the plumber call me back. I was in a meeting, so I texted him to leave a message.
    He sent back: "Got you're email, we give all prices up front, & if the costuner approves the work we do it, in additional I did the minor rebuild fir you free, & just make sure you explain to fox that you approved each task & it was a holiday, in additional here are just a couple of pictures that I took with the prices & you're approval before the job was dive that you approved the work. So I would as you are military, & are a upstanding citizen as you served,just make sure that you explain to them the entire job or I will, then I'm quite sure they may ask you why you approved the with then wanted to complain, in additional, the prices are labor & Warranty. Libel on a company is also illegal. Here are a few pictures fir you. I look forward to you're next move. You were charged fairly."
