FLAT RATE PRICING - EXTREMELY HIGH LABOR MARKUP ON PRICING.
Expect to pay at least $ 1,916 dollars for a plumbing job that requires $178 of Fergusson parts and takes 1.5-3 hours of labor (includes time waiting for parts at Fergusson.) This was NOT an emergency, weekend or night job -- Weds. mid-day pricing. They insist that this is normal flat rate pricing when we have learned otherwise from reputable plumbing providers.

Fergusson Retail cost:
Sump Pump $155. - Sam and Sons charges $989
1.5 inch check valve $10.89 - Sam and Sons charges $489.76
PVC 90 degree angle and metal clamps under $5 - Sam and Sons charges $608.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS!! AVOID AT ALL COST!!
Yes, Retail cost does not include labor -- lic. bonded plumbers can charge $150 an hour. Looks like Sam and Sons charges about $ 580 an HOUR markup on parts for labor.

If a service contractor starts a job, hands you an estimate to initial the pricing on an illegible job invoice and you are outraged -- show him the DOOR!

Don't waste your time with this organization. Showed up for a Saturday appointment ands spent half the day only to leave stating they did not have the parts to fix a simple leaking facet in a tub. Parts where available at any home depot but they stated they had to use their company supply room which had closed for the day. Call Monday stating they had the parts and wanted to know when I would be available. Called and informed them early Tuesday morning would work. After not hearing from them by 0830 AM Tuesday called the number left by the Tech only to find out I was not on the schedule.

Buyer BEWARE! Sam & Sons were supposed to install a tankless hot water heater on Friday, called that morning to say they didn't pull the permits for Arlington County, said they would be there Monday morning. Wife and mother waited all day Monday and no one ever showed. Called Tuesday and they claimed they showed up and no one was home, said they cancelled the order, returned the heater and it would be another week until they could do the job. Were very aggressive in blaming us for the problem. Don't waste your time and money with Sam & Sons.

Finally a company that is professional / friendly / on-time / well priced. Adam and his team were so helpful from the start until the end. I would recommend this company to anyone who is looking for a long term relationship.

They charged me $600 for replacing a garbage disposal and then wouldn't itemize my bill. I called various times for this request (wouldn't you too for a written in "$600"?) and they did not respond for over a month. When I threatened to contact the BBB is when a manager called me but he refused to budge and would not email me an explanation of where my money was going. I made it very clear I understood I wouldn't be getting my money back but nonetheless the request could not be acquiesed. Very frustrating experience and even after contacting the BBB, they have not gotten back to me. PLEASE NEVER USE THEM for your own sake - they overcharge but more importantly, do not believe in customer service, which became what the issue was about.

I called for a plumber, about a leaky garbage disposal. Adam came great prices and took care of it same day. I’m Very happy, I will call again

Helped my mother out quickly and fairly. We had a bad shower clog and went through 3 other plumbers before they came and fixed it in one day. It's so hard to find an honest plumber. Thanks so much guys!
