Western did an amazing job replacing my 44 year-old furnace!

Long story short, I had an old 1979 Lennox Conservator G12E installed in my custom home built in Alpine. After a long and faithful service life of 44 years, we shut it off when we discovered that it had a carbon monoxide leak into my home, which was very unsafe.

We decided to move forward and install a 2023 Goodman GCVC 2-stage variable speed blower furnace, along with an oversized 3 ton coil to get the most efficiency out of the central A/C. We left the A/C alone for now, and will be installing a 2.5 ton A/C later this summer with them.

Sharee was very responsive, gave me a great price, and was very kind. She wasn't like a typical salesperson, she actually listened to what I had to say, gave me advice on what she would install if it was her house, and gave me a good bid. She was also kind to give me a discount for already having a Nest thermostat installed, as they didn't have to add a smart WiFi thermostat.

Apolo, the lead installer, along with Tyler, Hunter, Jackson, and Seth did a super great job getting everything installed, adapted my ductwork to fit the new furnace and coil, and installed a UV light to sanitize the air. Right now, we're working on a small issue getting the flue run, as my old furnace was an 80 percenter, and this model is 96%, and requires PVC venting. My roof is bar tile, which cannot be walked on, and the flue vent is 40 feet above the ground. Tomorrow, we'll be using a cherry picker to seal the old exhaust, and I think that will be more effective. All of the technicians have been extremely accommodating, flexible, and open to suggestions about this tricky issue. Western is lucky to have them.

My son also had a variable speed heat pump, variable speed furnace, and upstairs air conditioner installed with them in December, and his house is much more comfortable now.

Overall, pick Western for any of your HVAC needs, as they've been easy to work with, a consistently a better value than other companies, and done high quality work.

Aaron was very friendly, but I definitely feel taken advantage of. I trusted in his expertise and followed his suggestions on what needed to be done to fix my furnace. $500 later I have no heat still. 😣

We ended up needing a last minute furnace/AC installation. Our old furnace broke and we were stuck in the cold. Somehow, they were able to come the next day (In November!). Amazing crew at the Orem Western Heating and Air! They were very professional and detail oriented. Pleasure to work with. And my daughter's said the installers we're cute. So there's that 🤣

Our technician, Mason Wilson, was very professional and knowledgeable and did a great job in getting our A/C system in top shape again for the upcoming summer.
