LONG REVIEW!! Our house was built in 1999 and had a very basic Goodman AC, Coil and Heater system. We have had at least three compressors replaced and a coil over the last 18 years through our home warranty company. In September 2018, we finally decided to replace our outdoor compressors and coils. Something this expensive required prayer and research. Using Angie's List, I contacted five different local DFW contractors. Since I am in sales for over 20 years, I can read through salespeople/companies really quick. To me the sales person is the face of the company and the product. Two companies didn't bother coming to the house, but chose to email their bids...bad move!
Of the various companies/sales people, Kevin Kulesza with Tom's Mechanical is the only salesperson who approached the sales process with sincere integrity, professionalism, expert guidance and made it clear his company has the expertise to ensure I have a great install. and support. I did my research on Tom's Mechanical and I was impressed. We all see the companies advertised on TV but to me the best advertisement is satisfied customers.
Steve worked with me to ensure I had the financing with Wells Fargo and we agreed on the Trane system. Kevin was so good and I trusted Tom's so much that I agreed to replace my furnaces as well (an easy up sell, once trust is established)! Kevin was on vacation during a weekend and responded to my text messages that we chose his company.
When the crew arrived to the install, it was amazing to watch this team with two big trucks disassemble the old system and then install the new units. Each individual were like members of the Navy Seals....each experts and very personable! I am very pleased with the work done by Tom's Mechanical and highly recommend them over any other company in the Dallas Fort Worth area.
By the way three companies who provided bids for my business followed up with me, after the units were installed! One company asked if it was the price that made the difference as to why I selected Tom's and I said, "no, it was not the price, it is the people!" Thanks Kevin for an awesome job working with me from being a prospective customer to someone who has a system in production!
We have used Tom's for several years for our a/c issues. Their team (from office staff to techs) have always been friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Recently, we had an opportunity to use their plumbing services. We received the same excellent service. Neither a/c or plumbing sides have ever tried to upsell us on services. They have all been great about explaining the issues and options. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Plus, they have always hit the arrival window of when they would arrive or have called if they are running a bit late. Great company.
Erik and Jimmy were prompt ,efficient and professional. They identified the problem quickly and explained the problem clearly and made the necessary repairs quickly. I recommend them for doing an excellent job.

Plumbing. Had an issue with toilet plumbing pipe moving toilet up from floor. Tom’s mechanical anchored the plumbing pipes to the foundation and fixed the problem. Very happy with the service!
Replaced two Hot Water Heater Tanks and did an outstanding job. Have also used them previously for HVAC replacement and Sewer Line repairs. Excellent customer service and fairly priced.
Contacted Tom's to check my heating unit for possible gas leak and water in the drain pan. Mark came out within 2 hours located an old cutoff valve that was leaking substantially and also identified another dangerous condition that the heating exhaust was disconnected and recirculating into my attic. Repaired the gas leak, had them replace rusted drain pan, add automatic overflow cutoff switch, repair the exhaust pipe and everything is in great order now. Very professional technician and I would highly recommend this company to anyone in need.
Eric & Jose were professional, ontime & provided us with explanation on the system quickly. Tom’s Mechanical has been a reliable service for over 5 years. I will continue to use them for my HVAC service and installations.
My wife and I purchased our first home in 2020, as luck would have it the old AC system was beyond saving and had to be replaced.
We went with a company that ended up doing a horrible install job! It took contacting Trane and the BBB for them to at least get the system running without flooding our home. Last night our AC just quit working all together.
I called Tom's this morning and they had a tech out within a few hours which was a pleasant surprise. My technician Darryl (sorry if I misspelled that) was top notch! He got our system going again and advised me of the shoddy wiring job done during the install that was causing a short among other issues.
Definitely will be doing business with Tom's going forward.
There was no pushy sales talk, no scare tactics and the pricing was more than reasonable.
