Zach came out to help with a plumbing issue. He flushed the line within 5 minutes and was very informative on his service and how to maintain it. We have also used Tom's to check for a slab leak in the past, with Efrain, and we had an excellent experience as well. He also helped replace a gas fire place starter. We will continue using them for our plumbing issues.
The downstairs AC unit went out Thursday night. It wasn't an emergency, but Josh from Tom's Mechanical was still here by 7:45 am the next morning to replace the motor. I am grateful and highly recommend them!
Decided to replace 21 year old (2 zone) system last April and got 3 bids ... worked with Kevin to navigate all of the many variables needed to make a good decision and finally decided to replace everything including zoning system, ducts, and all mechanicals. He got me well informed on value of installing a two stage compressor for great energy efficiency and worked with me for a final quote that met all of my needs. Kevin was very communicative throughout install process and sent the install foreman out in advance to review the complex job. They put four installers on the job and were completed in two days. This new system performance has exceeded all of my expectations ... my house is much cooler and my energy bill has been significantly reduced. These guys at Toms are "All Pro".
Effrain, from the plumbing department, recently uplifted my sink, since it had dropped a little. He took his time, was very efficient, and did a beautiful job! He was also very honest and friendly. I appreciate your help, Effrain! Suzi B
Marc came out and checked our unit and had to order a fan motor. He did a good job of keeping us informed and calling when he was headed out. they are my new go to AC company.
Really good value, I’ve always had very good experiences with these guys, they are very straightforward and easy to work with. They are not trying to oversell anything, they clearly diagnose and help the problem, at a fair price. I would definitely recommend these guys
Tom’s never lets me down…. I had kind of an emergency and Allen showed up!!!!! He was so friendly and efficient. Figured out the problem, went to Lowe’s , got the part, and solved the problem. I’ll always stick with Toms
I had our system replaced by Tom's several years ago and the guys and customer service was excellent. When our daughter's system finally gave up, just made one call to Tom's. Once again we were super pleased with the whole process from buying to installation. Hopefully we won't have to replace them again for years to come. When that time comes, I'll call Tom's.
Our plumber arrived on a Friday afternoon. He committed to stay and work on the job until it was completed so we wouldn’t go through the weekend without water. As it turned out a Texas storm blew through with pouring rain. He was good to his word and completed the job!
I will start with positive first Tom’s got me a good quote sooner than I could even get other companies to get back to me about needing a new system. Presented me with two options that made the most sense for our situation. Showed up as scheduled always. Were in and out and we had a new system in 5 hours on install day. Workers were polite and as quiet as they could be. Explained everything to me that I needed to know about the equipment. Overall great work.
Now the negative (reason for -1 star) There was absolutely NO clean up done after the air handler install. The attic was a complete mess of trash from the install. 20+ self-tapping screws laying around on the floor up there. The hangers from the old system cut and left dangling, attached to nothing. Cut wires, zip ties, and PVC scattered about. Enough trash to fill up a 5gal bucket. OSB from where they installed a new return vent (for free, I should add) just tossed aside into the insulation. They put a foot through my OSB flooring and just tossed that aside. Did not mention this to me.
Happy with the overall HVAC work but the disaster that was left in the attic is incredibly annoying and borders on disrespectful.
