Called on Thursday 05/21 around 10 am to place service request, guy said the soonest is Tuesday because of Memorial Day, explained we are a hotel and is the second floor common area unit, they are our go to HVAC company, spent thousands of dollars in the last few years, he said all companies are busy nothing I can do about it. I asked to speak with someone else but he refused saying he's the manager (Mario I believe he said) and nobody can't help me. I asked so do I need to find another HVAC provider? he said "that's your call, can't help you, I just had a meeting with owners and those are the wait times for now". The so called manager was rude as hell, maybe company is growing so much they don't care anymore. I have always referred Ellis to any other businesses and individuals but might need to reconsider it, all the techs I have deal with are knowledgeable and reliable, Terry is awesome fixing my VTAC units. I definitely have to find other options if I have to wait 5 days for my HVAC company to service my units, specially if Ellis shop is 5 minutes away from my business. BTW my unit was serviced on the same day for another company.
I would like to give a shout out to Chris Bailey and his helper tech. for doing a great job, they were very polite, respectful and knowledgeable while preforming the maintenance on our heating and cooling system. They were also very helpful in answering my questions about our residential system. Thanks again!
This is a great local company. Nothing but honesty and intregrety when it comes to services. I was having issues with my AC thermostat programming. I was able to figure out the problem and fix the issue before they actually arrived. Their service tech Cris Bailey, still came in and showed me a quick way to reset my thermostat, in case I have issue again. This company also helped fix a heating issue for me this winter and showed me an error that my building company actually did that was causing the problem. I will continue to use Ellis air for all my future maintenance issues and I highly recommend them.
Update: My system was wired to work in a way that isn't the standard. It was to no fault of the company. Due to this crazy weather I was more frustrated with not knowing what was going on! They came back out promptly and fixed it and now my heart feels really really good. Thank you to Chris, Chris and the rest of the team for being so helpful
I recently Bought a new hvac system through this company . In Killeen we are having freezing temperatures and I’ve activated my emergency pump (which was the crucial part of me buying a new system ) and it is not working properly . As in the main thermostat is set to 74degrees but since it has been on the house reading has been dropping and soon it’s going to be at 60 degrees and so on freezing out my 6 month old and i . If i turn the regular heat back on my electricity system says it’s utilizing over 20kw. I was told this new hvac system would be saving me money as compared to the 18 year old system that was replaced . Please help
I scheduled an appointment for a check up on my air conditioning system last week. I spoke to Mario and confirmed the appointment for Tuesday of this week. The appointment was scheduled for 4:30 pm but no one showed up. When I called the office I had to leave a voicemail and followed up the next day because no one called me that evening or the following morning. When I followed up the next day I spoke to Mario again and he seem surprised, telling me that someone should have called me because they were running late and had to reschedule or cancel appointments. I rescheduled my appointment for today at 4:30 pm and once again nobody showed up. I received a call around 4 pm from Mario but couldn’t answer due to being on my bike. I returned his call approximately 10 minutes later when I pulled up in my garage. He asked me if there was anyone home and I reminded him that we already had this discussion and someone would be here at 4:30pm and yes I was home. He said he would contact his people and have them on their way but now it’s 4:46 pm and no one is here. I finally get a call at 5:05 pm from a technician asking me if I wanted them to come by the house for an AC inspection. I kindly declined after hearing too many excuses from Mario. I’m not sure what he does there but I’m not impressed and very disappointed after wasting my time twice.

Ellis Air Systems out of Temple and Killeen sent a great tech out to our home to do regular maintenance service to prepare for TX winter and turning on heat. We have just purchased this home 2 yrs ago. So, about 1 yr ago the older outside heat pump unit went out. The Home Warranty of America, company that covered our home/ appliances the first year sent their designated service choice, (it wasn't my choice), HVAC company to inspect and replace the unit if necessary. Sure enough, the unit was fried, the HWA company okayed the order of a new Goodman, and replaced outside unit. All was good, so we thought! So, fast forward another year. Bart, from Ellis Air, came by our home recently to do a scheduled annual HVAC inspection. He had replaced both straight thermostats to heat pump thermostats before any of this had happened, because the current thermostats were not heat pump specific! Since he had done that job, and was familiar with our situation of the new unit outside, he was surprised when he discovered the new installed Goodman was NOT a heat pump unit. Bart caught the fact that the new unit installed in place of a heat pump unit was a straight AC/Heat unit. We are thankful for Bart bringing it to our attention. He didn't have to do this, he could of done our scheduled inspection and moved on. No big deal, but, it was to Bart. He is certainly a man of integrity, we appreciate him taking the high road and helping us correct this wrong. Since this happen, the other HVAC company has agreed, it was their mistake, and is taking full responsibility to replace the straight unit to a heat pump unit. Ellis installed my unit 2 years ago and was great. They had to come out today to replace the insulation. The installers were prompt, professional, friendly and quick. Highly recommended.
Great service!! I had my yearly service a week ago. The tech took pictures of the cooling coils. They were horribly dirty and corroded after only 7 years of service. I requested an acid wash the following week. The service tech removed it and had to clean it 3 times to get all the build up out. System works great. Well worth the cost to extend the life of my A/C unit.
