Met this service provider thru American home shield when my A/C went down. Came out quick and put $420 with of freon in it (not under warranty) and it ran for two days. Over the next two months they diagnosed and replaced every single part of the system except for the line set before I had a working A/C system. They did lend me a single room portable unit which helped. What I didn't know was they were running a tab behind the scenes that I wasn't informed of until it was too late, over $1600 not covered under warranty. The last visit left my A/C finally working, but left the drain line for the coil messed up, which caused a big leak that damaged my ceiling. I got several estimates and they agreed upon one for $1500. Several text messages and phone calls later, nothing had been done, nothing. There has been no more contact, many unanswered phone calls and if you go to their shop it has a sticker on the door that says it is abandoned.

This is the most dishonest group of individuals ever, and I've got no other route but to take them to court and hopefully recover some of the money for the damages they caused. Richard sure acted like a concerned man, but turns out he's just a scam artist that doesn't take responsibility for his wrongdoing. Please, do yourself a favor and don't put your trust in these folks, if they are even still in business. If American home shield refers them, refuse to work with these criminals.

Service Pro's technician James showed up at the promised time. This guy is a pro's pro. He is polite, remarkably knowledgeable and he made sure we knew exactly what he planned to do. He completed the work and everything is back in working order.
Even our Golden Retriever liked him.

If I could leave a 0 star review I would. Service Pro Heating and Air was contracted by my American Home Shield warranty. I have been without air conditioning for over month since their technicians have misdiagnosed the issue with my HVAC multiple times. Their office staff is extremely rude and unprofessional and cannot offer any updates on when parts will arrive. I was told a part was ordered for my unit only to find out it had never been ordered two weeks later. I was then informed it would be another 2 weeks before the part would come in and 1-2 weeks to schedule a technician to come out again. At this rate, I would be without AC for 2 months due to complete incompetence. I have filed a formal complaint with AHS as well as canceled my warranty contract due to their contractors failing to meet any expectation of providing a solution to fixing the unit. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON SERVICE PRO!!!!

6/8/22 - UPDATE: After canceling my AHS Warranty and requesting a payout for services that Service Pro Heating & Air were unable to perform, Service Pro has continued to call trying to set up an appointment to fix my unit (after zero communication for 3 weeks). I called Ted's Heating & Air Conditioning Co who were able to come the same day I called (6/6/22), diagnose the problem, and make the repair within an hour of arriving at less than HALF the price Service Pro Heating and Air quoted on top of their charges to the home warranty policy. If you are in the Simpsonville area I highly suggest calling Ted.

American Home shield, (AHS), scheduled us with Service Pro heating and air for a broken AC system in the middle of summer in South Carolina. We had been suffering for almost a week until the appointment. Technician Cody R. from Service Pro, was really courteous and helpful, answering all my questions about my HVAC unit. Our system, is a Payne HVAC has been giving us yearly PAINS for many years already, having to have AHS schedule servicing repeatedly. Cody fixed a bad capacitor, which got the AC cooling again and then did a performance test of our system. Cody noticed the pressures were a little low during the performance test and let me know he wanted to check for leaks, he could have charged us for adding ultraviolet leak detection dye to the system, but he was honest enough and checked before telling us that there was some dye already in the system and that was enough for him to find a leak in the evaporator coil. We will need a whole new air handler. I asked Cody about the age of my HVAC system and he was very knowledgeable in explaining longevity of these systems. It seems my system is near the end of its life at 14 years. I think I will end up replacing the outside condenser unit at the same time as they replace my air handler assembly. This should stop the yearly HVAC failures when it is either sweltering hot or freezing outside as well as reduce costs with a more efficient HVAC unit. Thanks Cody and thans Service Pro!
The next thing is to see if AHS will work with me on the cost of replacing the condenser unit. Wish me luck.
