Authorized Heating & Air Conditioning

HORRIBLE! DO NOT USE! I reached out to Authorized Heating & Air Conditioning on 12/16/2022 because, although we had really good heat and blower was working fine, we were getting a weird smell coming from the vents. The rep said that they could send someone out that day and if repairs were needed the service and diagnosis charge would be removed from price of any repairs. Two young techs came out later that same day and after checking everything out, said that my heat strips were in backwards and a wire was burnt. They said that they would reverse strips and rewire system. Of note, one of the techs showed me a few pics of a burnt wire and heat strips, which he said he would email to me but never did. To this day, I do not believe the pictures were of my system. They gave an estimate of $658.00 and went to "work" After about 40 minutes they declared system fixed, I paid, and they left. I was emailed an invoice where I noted that the service charge and diagnosis was NOT included in the repair cost as I was told. It was a blatant lie. It was getting pretty cold, so my wife decided to turn on the heat a few hours after they left the house..and nothing came out..nothing at all. We were worse off than when they "repaired" everything. Here's where things get interesting. I called Authorized Heating & Air Conditioning and was told that it was after hours and they would charge me again for coming out and there would be ANOTHER diagnosis charge, both adding up to close to another $300. I asked the rep why that would be so since their "techs" just left a few hours ago and we are in worse shape? I questioned him on the invoice and advised him that the house was getting really cold, and we needed help. He just nonchalantly replied that there nothing he could do unless we wanted to pay the additional charge. I advised I would not pay an additional charge to fix what they broke. I advised I would call credit card company to reverse charge and hung up. The following day, I had another HVAC company come out and they told me that no such thing as heat strips in backwards and that control board and blower motor was gone, and my wires were a mess. Took a day or so to get parts, but they replaced both for under $600. Now, there's plenty more to this story, but to sum it up, I don't know from who or where Authorized Heating & Air's positive reviews are being manufactured but I believe this company's business practices are very deceptive, and I sincerely believe that they scammed me. From my experience, this company should not be "Authorized" to work on anyone's HVAC system. Hopefully I get my money back. If you want to use them, go ahead, but don't say I didn't warn you.

Miles arrived promptly and got busy. He is professional yet amiable. He offered suggestions to improv unit performance --much appreciated . Answered my questions and got the job done smartly. I will ask for Miles next time for sure.

As a longtime customer of this provider, I knew when my heating system broke, they would respond quickly. Their service technician,
Miles, came that same afternoon, located the problem, went and brought back a replacement part, installed it and done. These are caring, professionals and nice people to do business with.

The technician, Luis, , who performed the "spring" maintenance on our system today was as usual punctual, professional, and very helpful in answering our questions. The very positive and pleasant attitudes of the office staff, technicians, owner, etc. are very refreshing in todays's world. I would not hesitate to recommend Authorized Heating/Air to our closet friends.

12/12/2022- Thermostat replaced; very pleased with the service that Authorized Heating and Air has provided and their prompt and professional service. Their technician, Gary, was not only very knowledge but also very patient in explaining the details that I needed know. He also has a very good attitude and is a pleasure to deal with.

I have used Authorized Heat and Air for at least 20 years and would not call anyone else. They have been consistently reliable ,honest and dependable. Luis has even carried off a 5 foot snake for me- free of charge!😂 I highly recommend this company!
