    I had these guys install three HVAC systems at three different locations. In each case, the capacitor in the outdoor unit went bad about three years after I did the installation, usually during a heatwave.

    In each case, I called the company after hours, and I reached a voicemail system. I left a message advising that I urgently needed service and asking them to book the soonest available appointment and to call me back. The most recent time, I even told them my address and to just book the appointment even if they couldn't reach me, and to leave the details on my voicemail.

    Each time I called, they ignored my voicemail message. The first two times, when I called them back, they claimed that they had no messages from me. The third time, today, they initially denied that they received a VM from me at all again. But, given that the same thing had happened three times over several years, I challenged the claim.

    After I pressed them, they admitted that they got a VM from me this morning, and then falsely claimed that they returned my call. They said that they didn't leave a VM for me because the name on the outgoing message was different than my name. When I asked what number they called me back at and at what time, they couldn't say. I checked my phone logs, and it showed no return call from their company.

    I've spent thousands of dollars with this company having them do installations and even maintenance plans to ensure priority service. Yet, they don't even return calls asking for service when I need it!

    I've had it with this company. I will not use them again.

    We really like this company and have enjoyed working with them.

    We had them come out 5years ago to help keep our nearly 40 year old furnace running a few more years until we could afford to get a replacement and they did. That furnace ran for the 5 years until this last hard snow storm when it just could not work so hard anymore.
    We were impressed with their work and the technician was very helpful, so when we were looking to replace we reached out to them.
    They were still as awesome as we remember.
    Their customer service has been exceptional. They have been quick to respond to any calls, offered portable heaters to use and checked up with us a week later to see how everything was working, their work is clean and thorough (even the city inspector was impressed, he said it shows they care about the work they do.) they are taking extra precautions with covid and most important the people have been friendly and respectful.

    Highly recommend this company. We have already recommend them to our neighbors. That is how much we like them.

    I am updating my previous review. I have since discussed this issue with the owner who agreed with my concerns and took the necessary action to resolve the issue described below.

    Specialty Heating & Cooling LCC installed a new HVAC unit in 2021. A perfect experience! I do, however, have concerns about the recent service experience and the subsequent follow-up. During the service call I asked what replacement filter to order and was given the incorrect information by the service technician. As a result I ordered new filters and then had to return and reorder the correct ones. The service technician also agreed to place a request for an installation manager to contact me to discuss a zoned retrofit vs. a mini-split system to heat a sunroom with insufficient heating and cooling. I haven't heard back.

    I referred Specialty Heating & Cooling LLC to install a new system in my neighbor's home. They are quite pleased with the ongoing installation and the technicians are very personable. However, I was taken aback when I found the technicians' equipment plugged into my electrical outlet at the side of my house. I couldn't locate the technician to ask about it so I telephoned the installation manager for the project. The manager didn't seem particularly concerned that the technicians hadn't asked for permission to use the outlet and said he would have the technicians remove the equipment from the outlet if that is what I wanted. I said I wouldn't have minded if they used the outlet if a) I had been asked and b) if I was provided a time estimate as to how long the additional power was needed. (Frankly I was more astonished by his attitude that connecting to someone's power without permission is an acceptable practice.) The equipment is now unplugged. I found the service technician and told him if he still needed to use the outlet that was alright but apparently he was finished. He did apologize stating that he did not have an extension cord and that yes he should have asked to use the outlet.

    After my initial excellent experience in 2021 I referred two neighbors to use Specialty Heating & Cooling LCC for their HVAC installations. I hope that the recent events are only small hiccups and that existing customers will continue to receive the professional service and follow-up that was evident in new installations.

    We've had an excellent experience with Specialty. They replaced our gas furnace with whole house heating and cooling based on mini-split technology: an exterior heat pump, an interior blower that uses the ductwork, and a master bedroom mini-split. We're very happy with the solution they came up with. Our salesperson, Nic, was excellent -- attentive and conscientious throughout the process. He worked with us to find the best solution to our needs. The lead installer, Rob, had to work super-overtime to fix some technical issues with the system, and he kept at it until everything was on track. Very happy with our experience.

    Specialty was great. They communicated with me clearly regarding my appointment time, including by both phone and text, and the tech called me prior to his arrival. Markus was very knowledgeable, and was able to quickly assess the issue and fix it. All around a great experience!

    Specialty Heating & Cooling installed a new air conditioner and furnace for us. They were highly communicative about arrival and service time. All their people were friendly and professional. They explained how everything worked. I had a minor glitch with the furnace after 3 days, and they were there within the hour and fixed it. Amazing service. I wish I could rate them a 6!

    We had Specialty Heating and Cooling come in to evaluate a botched job by another business. They were always prompt, on time, and thorough in explanation. When it became clear replacement was the only solution, they provided clear estimates showing all options from cheap to high end with zero pressure.

    Staff always arrived on time, were considerate, professional, detail oriented, and cleaned up afterward.

    Will use them again when we add a ductless system to our garage
