Although this is a common practice with many appliance repair , plumbing and other home service businesses , I was disappointed that I had to pay someone $109 for a "diagnosis" of something I already knew was broken? Also the lack of communication post diagnostic inspection wasn't what I would expect from a professional business. After 3 days of waiting I finally received a call with a "verbal" estimate of repair to replace my motor on the air circulator. The replacement motor was located in Everett Washington. It would take 2 days to arrive and an additional charge of $494 for the installation !! My neighbor was able to locate a working replacement motor locally and we were able to expedite the repair at zero costs. Just took a couple hours of our time. Wished I hadn't thrown away $109!??

Had our heating and A/C unit replaced in 2013 by Mikes ... they were great, prices reasonable (had several bids from other contractors). Recently had an issues and they were out the same day as my call ... Great service ... professional and knowledgeable. Will continue to return to Mike's and would refer them to anyone. Thank you.

We lost our AC during the heat wave around 4th of July. We were told we would have our AC replaced July 27th. July 27th rolls around technician is no where to be found. We called the company and they claimed someone should be there. A technician didn’t show up until 2 hours after the scheduled time to tell us our product was Damaged and couldn’t install. We got a call from the company rescheduling for august 10th. A couple days before august 10 we get a call saying everything is still on back order and can’t be replaced until MAYBE beginning of September. After going the entire summer without AC there’s no point to continue with the company. Gonna have to try again next year with someone else.

I can't rave about my experience with Mike's Heating & Air Conditioning enough. Jeff was our service man and he did a phenomenal job. He was professional and kind and took the time to explain everything to me so I could follow and have future knowledge on how to take care of our unit better. I would definitely recommend them!

I called for possible thermostat replacement back in February this year (2017) and got a technician who was arrogant, overly friendly, and generally creepy.

He never touched the thermostat and wanted to look at the unit. He let me know I had a wrong sized filter and said he grab one at the shop and be back. 45 minutes later he arrived and replaced the filter told me I'd be better off replacing my whole heating/AC unit to gas then stood there talking for over an hour.

Imagine my surprise when I received an invoice totaling nearly $300 and made out to the deceased previous owner. I called several times to complain about the charge and disputed the hours I was billed and the filter installed that I didn't ask for was $30.00. I was told I had to speak to James who never called me until I called over my third invoice with late fees attached. I told Admin I would not be paying this until it was adjusted fairly. James was magically there that day. We discussed my complaints and he assured me the tech was no longer apart of their company and he make it right and invoice me if needed.

I'm beyond pissed when I get a call today from a collection agency saying this is still hanging out there. I call Mike's to ask them what the hell is going on and told "James" will call me.

I would not advise anyone to use this company.

I had Mike's out to look at an old furnace that was in a house we just purchased. The guy who looked at it was nice and explained things well, it was said to be a bad control board (very common reason for a furnace not running) and he was correct, it was burnt up in the back. He explained the process of getting it repaired. It involved us waiting for him to turn in his paperwork and then waiting to hear from someone in the office on the cost of the part and repair - unfortunately 7 days went by and no one called, despite us calling them to remind them we were waiting.

On the same day as the diagnosis we had a Mike's sales guy out to give us a quote on replacing the whole system; furnace and a/c. We knew even if the part fixed the problem, replacement was inevitable within the next year. He was friendly, but seemed to fail at listening to what we wanted/needed. The first quote included things we didn't need and then the second quote didn't seem to include the things we asked for. I got the feeling that he thought I was being too picky wanting an EXACT quote, but when you're spending $5k it's nice to know there aren't going to be any surprises.

Long story short, I replaced the control board, which again was burnt up so Mike's was correct, but that wasn't the only reason it wasn't working. Instead of dumping more money into a system that is as old me, we are opting to replace the whole system, but due to the lack of communication we don't think Mike's is a good match for us, repairs in the future are bound to happen and at the pace they provide quotes and return calls we don't want to chance being without heat or air for multiple weeks.

    Update: 12/13/17
It has become even more apparent that Mike's needs help with their system and process's. In addition to not ever getting a quote for the repair, I've received two additional bills in the mail; I paid the bill on the spot when he was here to look at the furnace. All 3 bill totals have been different and the two that were higher had no explanation of why it was more than the base fee to look at it. At this point I'm wasting my time due to their lack of system.

Matthew diagnosed the problem quickly, resolved it, and left notes for future techs should the problem return.

Mike's Heating really stepped up and helped. They were the only service company out of 5 called to actually offer to help, sell the component (capacitor) I needed for my home AC, offer advice on DIY replacement, and were stocked. Any future home AC problems, I will call Mike's.

Technician came out to my business and diagnosed the problem in under 10 minutes. He was very rude and nosy (giving me unwanted business advice) 10 days later the part came in (my shop was freezing cold for all 10 days) he "fixed" the problem and got the furnace running. The company loaned us 2 heaters for part of the 10 days and assured us they were free and sorry for the inconvenience l. Soon after he left we could smell a gas leak. We immediately turned off the gas but my business had to be closed to air it out. He came out 3 hours after the leak to "fix" it. The next day it was leaking again. We ended up needing to replace the whole furnace because the technician broke ours. We just got the bill. They charged us $240 for the heater rental (which they said was free) and $1080 for labor. He claimed he worked for 9 hours @ $120 an hour. He was in my shop for less than an hour and ended up breaking our furnace.
