    Disappointed is all I have at this point. I have used Mike’s for my boiler heater because they are one of the few companies that work on them. In 2018 the motor die I called to get a quote and it was reasonable. When I decided to fix in 2019 their quote was insanity inflated. Nonetheless I got the motor install.

    Late 2019 the boiler stop working jet again, so I called them to get a quote and check the unit out. When the technical looked at it, he said it was the pilot controller and 2 burners needed replacement.

    He said they will check the price of the parts and will get back to me with a quote. The quote was average, so I took it.

    The day of the installation a different technical arrived. He was confused when I asked if it was all done. He said he did not know anything about the 2 burners being bad.

    I got a new quote to install just the burners and it was crazy inflated. 800 dollar for 2 burners that cost 20 bucks each online.

    I’m not mad but taking advantage of the costumer will only lead to losing business. At least they have lost my.

    I just want to say that your crew of Paul and Chris did a wonderful, clean, courteous, and quick install job of the new heat pump and accessories.

    I already see at least a 50% decrease in energy use from the 21 year old heat pump I had.

    The entire process from bid (substantially lower than 2 other similar systems) to install was stress free for me. It's my pleasure to recommend Mikes.

    We had a great experience with Mike’s Heating and Air. Paul and Brian were both friendly and professional. It was a multi-day job upgrading our setup. It was during a couple of hot days and we really appreciated the extra effort to make sure we had cooling available before they left on the first day. At the end, everything was cleaned up and the system is running great.

    I had some issues after the install, they replied to my review here on google that wasn’t so great, they made it right, stood behind their work and I think take very much pride in doing a good job! Thank you to whoever replied to take care of the issues! The unit works as expected and the installers did a great job! I won’t re post my first review as I feel with their response to my review they did an outstanding job!

    Update #7: Friend wanted opinions on a HVAC company and I grumped about Mike's again and how they broke my unit and wasted like 2 pounds of coolant by overcharging it. Then, I see an owner's response on my review: I would like to state now: Mike's has NEVER contacted me or attempted to make this right. I'm WILL keep this review up until that bill is made right.

    Avoid Mike's. Pretty much assume they hate our troops and prey on ignorant homeowners. Customer beware!

    Update #6: Someone I know was complaining about their service with Mikes. I shared my review and just wanted to say: my control board is fine and has worked ever since Country Air LLC fixed Mike's shoddy work. Seriously, read the other reviews and choose another company. Years later, I am disgusted that a fellow US veteran would treat anyone this way.

    Update #5: I had reason to look at this again, and I'd like to update that Mike's never did issue me that promised refund! Beware this company.

    Update #4: Mike's states that we had 'burn marks'. There are no 'burn marks' on our control board. Our control board is still functioning properly.

    Well - All was well until the heat needed to come on a few weeks ago. Our heat pump stopped working, so we called Mike's again. Their tech came out (Not James this time) and told us we needed to do a 640.00 repair for the control board. We decided to get a second opinion. Usually when a circuit board goes out, the whole thing does... not just if you tap on it.

    So we called Country Air on the recommendation of a family member. They quoted us 350.00 for the same repair and came out. That is when we learned that Mike's had tried to screw us over.

    You see, the control board wasn't bad. What had happened is that when Mike's was out earlier in the year and fixed our heat pump, they overfilled and over-pressurized it. The technician from Country Air removed 2 pounds of refrigerant and adjusted the pressure and our system was up and running.

    So - when I called Mike's back and told them what had gone wrong, I figured that they'd honor their warranty and work. Not happening! They say they won't do anything more than refund my service fee of 90.00 (haven't received a refund yet) and nothing else - not the 100.00 I paid to fix their error nor the approximately 160.00 they charged me for the unneeded excess refrigerant.

    So, I'll be leaving a glowing review (like my old Mike's review!) and leaving this lousy one for Mike's. I am still considering filing an official complaint against their CCB number. Need to go get a certified letter sent off. Wish me luck.

    *** -James, at Mikes, was fast, friendly, and courteous. He gave me an accurate guesstimate after figuring out what was wrong with my heat pump. It was a major malfunction, and the part was expensive. One of those situations where you have to consider if it's better to replace or repair the entire unit.-

    -We opted to repair. It has worked great ever since. Jason was always on time, and the office dispatcher was great at calling me to keep me in the loop. -

    -Price was reasonable, we were invoiced, and the bill was easy to pay. We were up and running in no time.-
